One of our water heaters started leaking. Put out the call on Yelp, and got a dozen responses. Some would not quote the job without sending someone out (and charging for that). Some would give me a range of prices, but not commit. Others apparently wanted to retire after this one job as they were 2x the cost of the other estimates I got.

Johnny Pipes answered with a firm bid, a better price than anyone else, and not only would replace the tank but also the pan, expansion tank, valves, and anything else needed for code. Oh yeah, we got a commercial grade tank that's going to last longer than anything else we've had installed.

They showed up when they said they would, did the job in the time frame they said, and cleaned up afterwards. And the price...exactly what they said it would be.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. And it's great to support a local small business. Plumbing is the one trade that I didn't have a "first call" for...I do now!

Had a great experience with Johnny Pipes Plumbing. We had no hot water on a Sunday morning. Checked the hot water heater and it was leaking from the top of the tank. No doubt we needed to replace our 20 year old water heater. We found Johnny Pipes Plumbing through Google. John responded on a Sunday even though that's not normal business hours for him. We got a prompt estimate. (Several plumbers we contacted wouldn't give an estimate without first coming to our home for an inspection and charging a Sunday service fee.) John said he could install the new tank on Tuesday AM. Rain came on Sunday afternoon. I got a call from John letting me know that the weather had postponed an outdoor Monday appointment and he squeezed us in on Monday. (John always responded promptly to all my questions and concerns.) John and his employees were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Thanks to Johnny Pipes we were only without hot water for a short while. Would definitely use Johnny Pipes again and would recommend to anyone.

I had an excellent experience with Johnny plumbing for a drain pipe leak repair. I was able to get quote by sending some images and the price was very reasonable. John the owner communicated with me directly and was very responsive and came out 2 days later with his employee. They were super nice and explained the plan for the repair, and then got to it and finished with minimal disruption, and cleaned up afterwards. The repair looked great and I was charged the exact amount agreed upon paying by credit card on my phone. They also gave 1 year warranty on the repair. Couldn't be happier!

After the city of Austin replace my water meter I started having a problem with water hammer. I tested my water pressure and found it on the high side. After some research, I decided to have the to have the Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) replaced. The original was near 25 years old and the adjustment nut had broken off. I prefer supporting independent contractors so I called Johnny Pipes. John was able to come out after a few days (this wasn't an emergency). He and Luke showed up on time and did a great job replacing the PRV also replacing the shut off valve which had become hard to turn. As a bonus John and Luke straightened out the flu vents sticking out of my roof that roofers had left in disarray. Thanks for that! So far the problem seems to be solved, but I will continue to monitor for water hammer over the next few days. John recommended having a Shock Suppressor installed if the problem isn't fully solve with the PRV replacement. John and Luke were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
