I tried to have Johnny come out to install the shutoff valve today, and because of the previous 3 star review he came out here and then declined the work.

Perhaps 4/5 stars would have been a better initial rating, but 3/5 is perfectly accurate given that he was willing to waste not only his own but also my time to come tell me that the reason he didn't call me back 5 months ago was that something had come up. OK.

You know how drain service guys come over and give you a whole shpiel and then do a half-ass job? Forget them! Johnny Drain is the real deal!
He takes his time to listen to what your problem is and goes through every step to solve it. He's a one man marvel.
Our washing machine was shooting water out during the rinse cycle and Johnny put in a new trap and snaked that sucker clear.
Call him if you have a drain or sewer issue, you will not regret it!

I called Johnny Drain on a Saturday night (tonight, actually) after reading plenty of reviews. He showed up when he said he would, which was awesome. On point, professional, calm, and cool, Johnny got the job done in about 35 minutes. I had a bathroom sink that simply would not go down. I had previously went to Home Depot and bought a piece of crap augur and some ZEP drain fluid, and couldn't get the job done. All in all, well done! He's a very friendly guy and I didn't feel any trepidation I normally feel when allowing service folks into my home. He gave me some tips on how to keep my drains flowing, and even hooked me up with some Johnny Drain pens! Score.

I had originally called 2 other plumbing services. The first was Roto Rooter who could not quote me over the phone. They insisted on having to see the problem which they did and then quoted me $1400+ to fix the problem which was insane. The service person didn't even really go into look at the problem. He just eyeballed it and quoted me his insane price. I did not end up using them.

The second plumbing service was $49.95 guy sewer and drain aka Northern Sewer and Drain. I called into their office. The girl who answers the phone was a bit rude and aloof. I ended up using them due to their pricing. They snaked the drain and were not able to solve the problem. It was not $49.95 as they ended up charging me $100+ which did not solve the problem. They then quoted me the same $1400 that Roto Rooter had quoted me to do their ""water jet service"" which was the next resort to get the drain unclogged.

I declined to use $49.95 guy's ""water jet service as they were just as expensive as RotoRooter. The most annoying part of the whole thing was that the service person who they sent was pretty pushy about selling me their services even though I told him it was too expensive. I felt as though I was being sold a used car and had to keep saying NO!

Eventually he dropped the quoted price and quoted me a lower one as he could see I was not going to budge from the original price even though he kept ""pushing"". At that point I was pretty irritated since he could of just quoted me the original lower price and not try to nickle and dime me in the first place. He just kept saying ""I get paid by the hour regardless if I do the job or not.""

I did not end up paying for their service since at this point I was pretty irritated and annoyed at the pushy salesman talk to pay for their service since snaking it the first time did not solve the problem and they charged me a $100+ for nothing unless you count the pushy salesman talk.

I ended up calling Johnny Drain. I called him and asked for a quote without mentioning the previous prices of the other services. His quote was very reasonable and a lot lower than what the other two services were charging. I ended up paying for the water jet service and also having a dryer checked out.

Johnny was great. Real friendly guy who was very knowledgable and also had great prices for the plumbing services he provided. When quoting me a price he gave me one that was a lot lower than the other guys and also was very prompt and professional. I felt at ease going with his services as the YELP reviews rated him very highly. The clogged drain in the basement was taken care of and solved within 30 minutes. He also provided a seniors discount for my folks and that dropped the price a bit from what he had quoted me on the phone for a further discount.

I would definitely recommend Johnny for any plumbing problems you may have. An honest guy who takes pride in his work and knows what he is doing. It's hard to find a very honest and fairly priced plumber. I tried to do this by looking through the yellow pages and a lot of them were pretty shady. I'll definitely be looking to retain Johnny's plumbing services for the future and highly recommend him. Thanks Johnny Drain!

Johnny was very experienced. He came, found out the root cause of our plumbing issues, and solved it with his lineup of equipments. He was also very nice. He explained clearly to me what was happening, and gave me some useful advice. Highly recommended.

If you think your clog is not a big deal, Johnny is fine. He is courteous and tries his best.
But if you have a major clog and need to do major work, he is not the right person to call. I was charged over $550 to fix my clog and replace some pipes. It hasn't even been one month and my pipes bursted twice. He came once to fix the burst but for the past 10 days, he hasn't picked up my phone calls, hasn't returned any of my calls even though i left him a couple of voicemails and text messages.
I can not use my sink properly because of this.
I will have to spend more money, hire someone else and get this fixed.

Very professional.
We arranged a time to meet and he arrived in the time he said he would. I had a clogged awe line and also a busted water pipe. It took a little time before we found the problem with the leak. It was behind new tile in one of my showers that had to be broken. He felt bad having to break open the wall, but I didn't mine because I had to get it fixed. Instead of breaking open the whole wall he broke a bit here and there to find it. We found it and he saved me money in water damage and also tile work as well.
Then came the big job. The sewer line. He used the snake and cleared my street side and inside line. Then he used the snake to clear the trap.. But it didn't go all the way through. He thought that was odd because it should have went through. Then he got he auger(handheld snake) and he felt there wasn't something in it still. When we looked in the trap it seemed to have something broken inside, either the trap was broken or something was broken inside the trap. Upon further investigation we saw a cap busted in the trap. He was able to take the broken cap out the trap and clear the line. I had 2 plumbers come to the house and did the same thing, only they never checked the trap. So it worked for a couple of days and the same problem. He did it for half the price and actually fixed the problem.
You can't go wrong with John. He's my going to be my go to guy for plumbing from this day on.

Called Johnny at 3:30 on Wednesday, he was here by 5p. My kitchen drain was clogged, so my dishwasher was not discharging the water. He snaked the drain, and also replaced a pipe. Very satisfied! Thanks, Johnny!

I had a semi plumbing emergency and Johnny Drain came by in a few hours. I originally though the issue was a partial blockage to the city sewer but apparently it was a full blockage.

We thought a simple rooter would do the job but it didn't work. We had to bring in the hydrojet which also didn't solve the problem. After 5 hours of rooting and hydrojetting, Johnny Drain finally got the issue resolved.

He even checked with my neighbors and also took a look in the street sewers to double check that the problem was localized to me (which it was).

Johnny's very straight forward and works as an honest man. I'm fairly positive any other plumber would have given up after a couple of hours but Johnny Drain was quite persistent. I'll be sure to use him and recommend him going forward. He charged what I believe was a very reasonable rate.
