John the Plumber
Company Overview
John the Plumber is a family-owned business with well over a hundred years of collective knowledge. Our goal is to deliver assistance that exceeds your needs. We would be privileged if you allowed our crew to help your household.
Our trade heritage dates back to the 1900s in the Garden State, where our ancestor first learned the trade. He started Krobatsch Plumbing and Heating in the 1940s, which is where our father John continued the legacy. Our mom and dad adored South Florida and visited the Pompano Beach area annually. During one of their trips, they discovered a opportunity on a home they couldn't resist. Just like that, they listed our house in New Jersey and transferred to our parents' beloved vacation location.
John the Plumber was established in Pompano Beach in 1979 as a one-man venture. Our parent, John, had no lofty goals; he simply wanted to offer excellent support to his patrons. His vision of residing in South Florida had materialized, allowing him to build a strong foundation and enterprise. Sadly, our father passed away from cancer in 1987 at the age of 53.
At that time, his sons, John and David, acquired the company from our parent. Both John and David had extensive plumbing background before purchasing the company; plumbing was practically their only line of work since they were able to work. John had started his own company, and David was the lead plumber of a large local plumbing business at the time of our father's passing. Rather than letting the legacy our parent had built over the years waste away, they chose to become co-owners. They drove together in the only truck the company owned until they saved enough funds to purchase an added truck and supplies. John and David operated the company out of our mother's residence until 1999 when the company needed more space to expand. At that point, the third son, Michael, became part of the company full-time. Michael also had extensive plumbing experience, having assisted with John and David since he was able to work and while going to college.

I had some exterior water valves that needed replacing - they were responsive, timely, and communicated cost and options. I'd use them again

WoW, I get it, prices are going up everywhere, but you don't have to be ripping off people. 3 fluid masters installed in under 20 minutes for 475.00 dollars??? WTH! not even 75.00 dollars worth of parts. Won't be using John the plumber anymore very very disappointed use to be a fair company.what a shame. The guys they sent out were very polite. But never again.

I had a leak under my kitchen sink and was in need of a new plumber. I called the office was friendly and scheduled a convenient time. She explained they were waiving $69 service fee and upon arrival they would asses the issue and disclose price prior starting any work. The company reached out day of to confirm my appointment and John arrived promptly at 9am as scheduled. He determined the leak was coming from my garbage disposal. He let me know the price would be $425 which included a 2 year warranty. John did a great job and cleaned up before leaving. So glad I have found a new plumber I can rely on.

They were able to fit me in the same day (grateful). Needed repairs for two toilets. The tech was beyond amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, and honest. I was able to get a quote for one of my toilets and had the other one repaired. It took maybe less than 30 minutes for consultation and repair. I will definitely use them again.

2 hours of work, basic plumbing nothing special, replace a t joint in a stack, $650. That's $325 and hour folks. hit and run people. Recommend you shop price over the phone, send a pic of what needs to be done, get a price over the phone before they come and don't use JOHN THE PLUMBER. Legalized Robbery.

Don't waste your time and money on anyone else. We've used this family for all our plumbing installations and problems for 15 + years now. Always on time, always professional, always knowledgeable and fair, most importantly HONEST! Great group of people with great work ethic, the three brothers are hands on and know plumbing, they have employees that exemplify their own ethics. Years ago they replaced all of our cast iron pipes digging two tunnels under our home. Big job, we did not shop around we know and trust they'll do the best job for a fair price and no regrets! Nicest people who do it right the first time. Call them!

This is the second time I've called on John the Plumber. Both times the job was done well. Adam identified the problem right away with the first visit, and then Connor installed a new garbage disposal and fixed another toilet issue that another company couldn't solve after 4 visits. Thank you, John the Plumber! Very professional company.

I was able to get an appointment the same day I called in. They came in and got the job done. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely use them again: Thank you !

Lack of communication within the office effects this rating. The on site staff does not know about the website discount they offer. They overcharged me and had to write me and mail a check to me because there on site failed to listen to me when they quoted me. They failed to call the office in the two hours they were here to verify what I told them. The on site staff does not show you the iPad with pricing which the owner stated they have. The girls said there was a miscommunication about the time I was available, which is hard to believe when it was written in a text message. The on site guys didn't have the tools necessary to complete the job which made me have to leave the house to buy a toilet handle. They checked the second and said I didn't need another one. Well they were wrong because they came back to fix that one as well. I had to speak to owner who said let me look at the schedule and have someone call you back. No one called back just had a knock on the door unannounced they were here.

Super great plumbers. I would recommend them every time. They show up! Super nice and great communication
