Kimberly P.I never typically leave reviews but my experience was so horrible I just had to. My kitchen sink was stopped up and and when I ran the dishwasher it would bubble up in the sink. My landlords normal plumber was tied up so he asked us to contact another plumber to come out. My husband called John Smith plumbing and they sent out whom I believe was named Ron. The first thing that upset me was that when I got home this man was in my house with my 80 year old mother with no mask on. He had both the kitchen and bathroom in complete disarray. He had totally taken apart the p-trap in both my kitchen and my bathroom, everything was everywhere! He had broken the p-trap in my bathroom. The whole kitchen was apart. He told me he wouldn't charge me if I went to home depot and got the parts and put everything back together. He acted like he was doing me a favor. I explained that my husband was out of town and I couldn't do all of that so to just go ahead and charge us as my landlord was paying the bill anyway. At that point he got Furious and stormed out of my house mumbling that it was going to cost me $375. He did return from home depot and put the p-traps back together. Of course there was still a stoppage as I had already explained to him that when it happened before the plumber had snaked the pipes from the roof. At that point He asked me if I had a snake as he didn't have one with him. He then produced one from somewhere. He asked if I had a ladder. SO basically he came to a plumbing call with no materials for the p-traps, no ladder and no snake. He was very rude to me and even made the comment """"well you can check the bathroom or not check it. Its your sink."""" When it came time for payment I explained to him that the payment was coming from my landlord who lives down the street and while my husband was trying to get him on the phone he stated that he wouldn't leave without payment because """"that's the way it works"""". I paid him and he said he would be back to """"dig my yard up to fix the pipes"""". There's no way I would let this man back in my house to do ANYTHING. When I went back into the house he had left a garbage can full of nasty water that he had gotten out of the sink. He did not clean up anything that he had pulled out from under either sink. He didn't put the ladder back where he got it. This was a horrendous experience and I will never ever use John Smith Plumbing again. I see from their reviews that I am not the only one with issues. This man was a nasty rude individual that I don't even think knows how to tie his shoes let alone fix any plumbing issues.
John Smith Plumbing repaired a leak at my water heater. Plumber left washing machine drain hose out of Washer drain. During routine laundry when washer cycled. Water flooded laundry room and adjacent family room wood floor. Also dryer vent duct was split Stopped laundry and called to advise John Smith Plumbing problem. No one came to help up 3/4"""" water on laundry room floor. Was told I'd be called the next day. Didn't receive call or any form of help. Called Friday afternoon and was told maybe could get someone out next week Worst customer service I've experienced. Be advised
Tim S.Had a leaking pipe on my side of water meter. Guests coming to visit and no water.....whoever does their scheduling is top notch...she squeezed me in ....the guys that came out were neat and on time ...very professional...and fixed my pipe...highly recommend...
Used them for a repipe. They were able to come out the next week. Should've taken their open schedule as a clue. Here I am two years later with a leak somewhere in their outdoor run. Called them to see if they'd fix it. Customarily the trades warranty their work for a year after install, so no surprise when they didn't. Hired a leak finder and a plumber to come fix their work. JohnSmith used a sharkbite. Had to replace their connection on a weekend. Do yourself a favor and find professionals.
Deborah C.Left the shower head off when I called them back to come and replace it after the tile was replace they nicked it with their saw they cute the pipe with to put the shower head on. Today just a couple of weeks later the tub spout and shower cover both fell off. Scratched my new toilet putting the tub in. Way to expensive for the quality of work they due. Live and learn. Should of read their reviews first. Very sorry for using them.
This company gave my church an estimate of air conditioning, took a $1900 deposit and backed out of the deal saying they don't do air conditioning, although their business and trucks still claim they do. They won't refund the deposit. What reputable business steals $1900 from a church? Shame on this business.
JohnSmith represented itself as qualified and licensed HVAC contractor in June of 2018. While in the process of developing an estimate for installation of a new Trane system JohnSmith in August of 2018 asked for $1,900 to pay an outside engineering firm for specifications on a condenser mounting structure. The amount was paid, but the engineering was put on hold as we discussed alternatives to the equipment proposal which might affect the specifications. JohnSmith advised in January of 2019 they were no longer in the HVAC business and therefore could not install a system. I asked for a refund of the $1,900 for the engineering specifications that were never developed. JohnSmith has refused to make the refund. What kind of company treats a church like this?
Called this company because my neighbor has used them. My previous plumber was extremely good and very fair with the pricing. Unfortunately, he passed away a few months ago so I needed to find someone else. I had a simple clogged sink but thought it would require more expertise than I have. The work was done, problem solved, but the process was so simple I could have done it myself as it turns out. Took about 15 minutes, and cost me over $200. I know plumbers are not cheap, but I find this amount to be just a bit over the top. No complaints about the work, just the inflated price. I'll look elsewhere the next time I need plumbing work done.
In all of my years of dealing with businesses, I've never been treated as rudely as by their service manager Jeff. I used John Smith for a plumbing job as part of a restoration project. They installed a new tub, but did not level it. I called to explain we had this done early, but because of the restoration project timeline caught it more than 30 days after installed. Jeff's response was, """"CONTACT YOUR WARRANTY COMPANY WE NO LONGER DO business WITH THEM THIS CONVERSATION IS DONE I have OTHER THINGS TO DO"""" in an angry voice and hung up on me.
Dianna B.I've been using John Smith Plumbing since I can remember. My dad and he were friends and I went to school with the son, Jr. I was disappointed that they were 4 hours late and there was no communication from them to let me know. My service appt was originally from 12-2, my actual service time was at 6pm. As for the service, no problem. Quick and efficiently done.
