After attempting to resolve an issue with management three times, I never received a call back, so will have to just pick another plumber for our home needs. Really gave this operation several chances, and it just didn't work out. On our first call we had an RO (reverse osmosis) system that was installed by previous owner. It evidently was outdated, and would have been better (per the tech) to be replaced. OK---we'll pay to have a whole new system in. The first tech who installed took over three hours (other techs said it should have taken half that time), and once finally complete, was still slighty loose at the dispenser. We just dealt with it after having him here for so long. A few weeks later our water leak alarm goes off....it had leaked under the sink. Had to shut it off, call them back out again. Had to have the entire sub-floor in our sink replaced as it had damaged the wood. John Smith took care of it, and we thought the issue was resolved. Fast forward a year ish later, and the dispenser is now barely hanging on for dear life. Called them to come out and take a look at this, as no way it should have issues just a year out. The tech (Chuck) who came out to look at it basically said that this system should have never been installed on our counter top, and that he would talk to the owner/service manager and that person would give me a call. Couple of days went by, no call. So I called and talked to Lindsey (who is always super nice), explained the sitch, to which she said she new Chuck had spoken with the service manager about the issue. Said that the service manager (I believe she said Chad) was on a call, but would relay the message and give me a call back. To this day, still no call back. I'm not going to continue to chase down someone that we paid money to both install, and correct an issue....but will not call us back. Poor responsiveness...to a system the tech said should never have been installed on our type countertop. If it shouldn't have been on that countertop, they should have recommended something else. Not very good service, and as you can see, not very good at following up either.

Used them for a repipe. They were able to come out the next week. Should've taken their open schedule as a clue. Here I am two years later with a leak somewhere in their outdoor run. Called them to see if they'd fix it. Customarily the trades warranty their work for a year after install, so no surprise when they didn't. Hired a leak finder and a plumber to come fix their work. JohnSmith used a sharkbite. Had to replace their connection on a weekend. Do yourself a favor and find professionals.

John Smith Plumbing repaired a leak at my water heater. Plumber left washing machine drain hose out of Washer drain. During routine laundry when washer cycled. Water flooded laundry room and adjacent family room wood floor. Also dryer vent duct was split Stopped laundry and called to advise John Smith Plumbing problem. No one came to help up 3/4"""" water on laundry room floor. Was told I'd be called the next day. Didn't receive call or any form of help. Called Friday afternoon and was told maybe could get someone out next week Worst customer service I've experienced. Be advised

Called this company because my neighbor has used them. My previous plumber was extremely good and very fair with the pricing. Unfortunately, he passed away a few months ago so I needed to find someone else. I had a simple clogged sink but thought it would require more expertise than I have. The work was done, problem solved, but the process was so simple I could have done it myself as it turns out. Took about 15 minutes, and cost me over $200. I know plumbers are not cheap, but I find this amount to be just a bit over the top. No complaints about the work, just the inflated price. I'll look elsewhere the next time I need plumbing work done.

Shower and vanity replacement. No permit was pulled, no float test, no inspector to check anything. Shower not even on all sides, wrong screws were used in some places, boards were not put in between the wall and shower leaving open space. Huge gap between the pieces of shower. Quality poor and now I can't get it finished due to the problems after install and permit being rejected.

John Smith Plumbing was great. I got a text when Scott was on his way and he arrived in the 2 hour window I was expecting him. Scott and his technician examined, diagnosed and fixed the two toilets I was having problems with in 25 minutes. Scott took the time to explain what was wrong, how he fixed them and, for one, what my options were moving forward. Scott was so patient and knowledgeable. He also did not pressure me to make a big ticket decision on the spot. I would highly recommend Scott and John Smith Plumbers company. I am grateful that I called him.

Best service around. Dylan very knowledgeable, very professional and completed the job with satisfactory results. Would recommend highly!!!!

I've been using John Smith Plumbing since I can remember. My dad and he were friends and I went to school with the son, Jr. I was disappointed that they were 4 hours late and there was no communication from them to let me know. My service appt was originally from 12-2, my actual service time was at 6pm. As for the service, no problem. Quick and efficiently done.

John Smith Plumbing was highly recommended by our Condo Association Maintenance man in Tarpon Springs. I had a sudden hot water heater leak, and the plumber came out and replaced my hot water heater the following day. He left everything tidy and was in touch through texting because I was at work. I am sorry now that I can't remember the young man's name, but he was very polite, informative every step of the way, and did a great job. I will always recommend John Smith Plumbing because of their courteous employees, and very fair prices. Cynthia Maus

I never typically leave reviews but my experience was so horrible I just had to. My kitchen sink was stopped up and and when I ran the dishwasher it would bubble up in the sink. My landlords normal plumber was tied up so he asked us to contact another plumber to come out. My husband called John Smith plumbing and they sent out whom I believe was named Ron. The first thing that upset me was that when I got home this man was in my house with my 80 year old mother with no mask on. He had both the kitchen and bathroom in complete disarray. He had totally taken apart the p-trap in both my kitchen and my bathroom, everything was everywhere! He had broken the p-trap in my bathroom. The whole kitchen was apart. He told me he wouldn't charge me if I went to home depot and got the parts and put everything back together. He acted like he was doing me a favor. I explained that my husband was out of town and I couldn't do all of that so to just go ahead and charge us as my landlord was paying the bill anyway. At that point he got Furious and stormed out of my house mumbling that it was going to cost me $375. He did return from home depot and put the p-traps back together. Of course there was still a stoppage as I had already explained to him that when it happened before the plumber had snaked the pipes from the roof. At that point He asked me if I had a snake as he didn't have one with him. He then produced one from somewhere. He asked if I had a ladder. SO basically he came to a plumbing call with no materials for the p-traps, no ladder and no snake. He was very rude to me and even made the comment """"well you can check the bathroom or not check it. Its your sink."""" When it came time for payment I explained to him that the payment was coming from my landlord who lives down the street and while my husband was trying to get him on the phone he stated that he wouldn't leave without payment because """"that's the way it works"""". I paid him and he said he would be back to """"dig my yard up to fix the pipes"""". There's no way I would let this man back in my house to do ANYTHING. When I went back into the house he had left a garbage can full of nasty water that he had gotten out of the sink. He did not clean up anything that he had pulled out from under either sink. He didn't put the ladder back where he got it. This was a horrendous experience and I will never ever use John Smith Plumbing again. I see from their reviews that I am not the only one with issues. This man was a nasty rude individual that I don't even think knows how to tie his shoes let alone fix any plumbing issues.
