On our home purchase, the general inspector recommend further inspection by HVAC and plumbing experts. So I worked with John Padilla for both of these services and am not completely satisfied. It was convenient to do both inspections with one company and it was affordable as well. Also, their breakdown reports of the repair/replacement costs helped in the negotiations with the seller. But there are a couple of items where I think the whole thing could be improved:

1- For each inspection (plumbing and HVAC), two inspectors came. The HVAC guys were late by 40 minutes which caused the realtor agent to miss his next appointment.
Before the inspections, I had already provided them with the general inspection report. They were mostly reading the report and just doing visual inspections for the water heater, AC, and furnace units and agreeing with the general inspection report. The whole thing took them about 20 minutes. I was expecting them to at least have some testing equipment, for example, the plumbers to do water tests to see if there is a sealed leak behind the walls and stuff like that. Or HVAC guys to check the condenser level of the unit. It was only a visual inspection.

2- They had initially stated their report will take up to 48 hours. It came in after 2.5 days and it was only after I followed up on the third day and asked them for it, they said they are working on it then sent it within the next couple of hours. I had initially told them that the inspection contingency deadline is really close so I would appreciate it if you could send the reports earlier and they said they'll do their best. And after looking at the one-page reports (cost breakdowns), they must have taken less than an hour to write each. Also, during the inspection they verbally and strongly recommend replacement of the units. So I asked them to include these verbal statements in their reports. But it was not there. It was just a cost breakdown. So to me this was not much of an inspection and more like a cost estimate by actual plumbers and HVAC guys.

I found this company on Google and read the reviews. I had another plumber lined up for various plumbing jobs but when my water heater started leaking the first company could not come out for two days. Called John Padilla and they came out right away with a brand new water heater and at a better price!! I not only purchased the water heater but a new toilet, kitchen faucet and repairs to other plumbing issues. Julio was my plumber for all of my work and he was fantastic!!!! Extremely helpful and efficient. Great service!!!

John Padilla Plumbing is the official plumber for my HOA condo building. They have done several jobs in my unit, and multiple jobs for the whole building. They even put in a brand new water heater for the building and the hot water has never been better. I highly recommend them for any Plumbing need. Ricardo Vasquez has done work in my unit two times, and even installed the building water heater. They are the most professional plumbers I am aware of in San Diego.

These folks do exceptional work. We purchased a home in the greater San Diego area, and we contracted John Padilla Plumbing, Heating & Air to do multiple repairs and upgrades that were discovered during the inspection process (for both plumbing and HVAC work). The work was completed, on time, with the same care and quality that one might show to their own home.

There was one SNAFU during the process- we were not able to fit our washer into a washer pan that was installed (this was nobodies fault- the washer wasn't on site, a standard size pan was installed, and we didn't know there was an issue until we moved in with our stupid big oversized washer.) John, Victor, David, and team prioritized our issue right away, and made everything right with the world.

We live in an era where there are many companies to choose from to do pretty much anything you need done. When choosing, quality is #1 on my list. However, quality is very closely followed by good customer service. Communication, politeness, professionalism, timeliness, and the desire to deliver a quality product all factor into that, and John Padilla Plumbing, Heating & Air hit the mark on all those fronts.

I will definitely be calling on them again once the AC unit in my house inevitably meets its rusty end, and for any plumbing related things I might need in the future.

One word. Awesome. These guys came out on time, called ahead of time to let me know they were on their way and knocked it out fast. They even gave me some tips what I can do next time to avoid having to call. The last plumbing company told me I would have to replace my main line, and wouldn't even come out when the line was plugged two days later. John Padilla plumbing was able to snake the line, and 3 months later still no problems. Great customer service, very professional, and honest.
