After four days of 90 deg temperature in our house we called John Moore. They arrived on time and checked the system, and explained our options. We went with the middle cost option. Temporary AC units were delivered, set up, and running within a couple of hours. The Installers came the following morning and worked in our oven of an attic. The completed and tested the system quicker than estimated. The entire process with them was easy and their people couldn't have been nicer. I'd recommend them to any of our friends.

I have an upstairs AC unit and a downstairs one. The upstairs one was not cooling. The downstairs one was working fine. The technician insisted that the 2 1/2 ton condenser was for the upstairs. it's for the downstairs. He then tested the good unit and recommended I purchase a new unit for $4,300 and did not look at the other unit. I had another company come out and the technician immediately looked at the correct unit and found a defective capacitor and replaced it on the spot for $266. Everything works fine. Thanks to the other company for correcting the problem within an hour. As for John Moore, I can't believe this is an isolated incident. BBB has given them an F rating with over 300 complaints and John Moore has not been a BBB member since 2010, yet the technician had on a shirt with the BBB emblem. As far as i am concerned this is a dishonest company and anyone wanting to use them should get a second opinion and second price. I will never call them again.

These people are LIARS!!!!! Do not believe them and do no use them. I called at 1:00 p.m. when I got home and discovered my AC didn't work and asked if they could send someone out today. Because if they couldn't I was going to call around and find someone else while it was still early. The ASSURED me they would have someone out today, between 5 and 8 p.m. So I called work to wait for them to go ahead and get it fixed.

Well come 5:30 someone called and said they were running behind (yes, the theme of the reviews on here) and would not be able to come out today after all but they would schedule me for "first" thing tomorrow morning. When I told them that was not acceptable and that I would find someone else they magically could send someone.

Fast forward two hours, and 3-4 deg hotter in my house, later still no one was here so I called back and there was some kind of "mix up" because I never had an appointment today, but they could try to send someone out tomorrow. I must have misunderstood. I just hung up. I would rather sit in the heat a week and wait for someone who is honest about not being able to come out than deal with such blatantly dishonest people. Especially since it appears from these reviews that this is their regular way of doing business.

Whenever i get a tech out, they are friendly and professional, however the call center and dispatch could probably be run better by a bunch of monkeys. Both time's i have used them, the call center has sent a plumber when i needed an AC guy and I specifically said, I DO NOT NEED A PLUMBER!!!! Yet one arrives the next day, nice guy though. I'm not sure how this company stays in business with the way the calls are handled. Call John and get MOORE hassle....Really i am the stupid one for calling them again, but i though their previous work might be under warranty so i thought it silly to go somewhere else. It would take an act of GOD for me to use them again. I beg anyone who reads this to find another service provider for whatever you will need.

JOHN MOORE A/C is a RIP-OFF! They came to my house to fix my A/C and wanted $10,000.00 for a new unit. I called another company and it was $316.00 but a wire that was burned. Difference between $10,000.00 and $316.00 and the other company replaced the contacts (which I requested) included in the $316.00. WHAT A RIP OFF - JOHN MOORE A/C - A RIP-OFF

John Moore quoted me $15,000 and wanted to tear up my patio for a problem that took another plumber 1 hour and $400 to solve.

I called John Moore because my tubs and toilets were backing up. They came on time and were very professional. The day started with them giving me a quote of $1000 to pick up a toilet rooter through it, and replace the toilet. I said lets do it.

Then the plumber called his "manager" sales pusher is more like it. When they put a camera in my clean out I was shown a video of a pipe that was completely crushed and they couldn't get their camera more than 2 feet, this was obviously the source of my problems. I was told this pipe would need to be replaced and obviously all 70 feet of it would need to be replaced also. To rip up my patio and replace all the pipe would be $15,000. What I find interesting is I never saw them actually measure the pipe, but they assured me it was at least 70 feet that needed fixing. and once they started excavating it would most likely end up being even more feet. But good news for me they had a crew that could be here in one hour... does this sound fishy to anyone else? Because it is, really really fishy. They were trying to rush me into using their company. I told them I would need a second quote. At this point they wouldn't leave their estimate with me, unlike the first more reasonable estimate which they had a print out for me they took their computer and left me with nothing, how then could I call them and say I wanted to go through with their recommendations? Well they knew once I called a plumber I wouldn't be calling them back and didn't want to leave any evidence of their scam.

I then called a repairman friend and was informed that PVC pipe (which is what I knew was under the house) cannot be crushed, they said possibly one foot of it could be wrong, but definitely not 70 feet.

I then called in another plumber, and somehow miraculously the "crushed pipe" I saw with John more was now an open pipe, and this plumber had no problem getting his camera to go 40 feet. That's 38 feet more than John Moore told me their camera could go because of the "crushed pipe" Leading me to believe John Moore showed me a prerecorded video to convince me to use their services. The pipe did have some roots in it, and there was a blockage because of the roots. The new plumber removed the blockage and all my toilets were able to flush, and all the bathtubs could drain. Then the plumber cut the roots away so it wouldn't become another blockage issue and advised me to get some root killer to put down the pipes periodically. We have had no issues since.

In summary John Moore showed me a prerecorded video and tried to scam me out of $15,000.

I had John Moore Services come out to repair my central AC & Heat. After evaluating the problem the technician said my mother board was faulty and I had a bad capacitor. He said the reason was we didn't have a power surge protector. We paid $1399.95 to replace those parts. I looked the parts up online and was outraged when I seen that all the parts together didn't even cost $300. For 3 hours work I feel $1000 labor was absolutely unreasonable. Will let you know how things turn out when they return my request for a refund, so stay tuned! My two complaints are the labor cost and the trash from the parts packaging left laying around the work area, poor housekeeping! Repair work was good.

This review is for John Moore Customer service and not directed to this particular location/office.

I called the 1-800 number and explained to the lady on the phone that my diswasher was working put the water isn't draining. I specificly said I need someone that is a plumber but "just incase" it is an appliance issue they need to know what they are doing.

The lady assured me someone knowledgeable would be able to fix the problem. She gave me a window of Saturday morning from 8am to noon. 12:30pm no call no show. I called and they found a tech in the area to swing by. The moment he walked through the door and I told him the dishwasher water is not draining he immediately said he is a plumber and does not work on applicances. He did not take the time to even look at it to see if it was a quick fix or even make a recommendation.

I will never call John Moore again.

I was given a THREE hour window for a technician to come to my house for some plumbing work. I was called a few hours before that time frame began and asked if I would be available for him to come early, sure I said, I can be home a little earlier and get this over with. So the early period comes and goes, then my three hour window comes and goes and still no technician. I call and am assured that he is on his way, but "we can't reach him". After another 30 minutes, I call back, at which point they offer to reschedule me. So I can wait another 5 hours tomorrow? Ummm, no thanks! Save your time, and money and take your business elsewhere.
