I used this company for my business a few years ago to rework some piping that was freezing and make other improvements to our system. We had a freezing issue again this week that we believe was related to the prior work (which we were happy with until now) and called for service. They refused to come out even when I offered to pay extra for emergency service, said they were too busy and told us to go elsewhere. If we were new customers I could understand that but I certainly won't be using their services again.

Called this company based on a recommendation regarding an issue at my house and they were very responsive, and more importantly, honest and trustworthy regarding their diagnosis. Needed to do some exploratory work to see how to address a problem and suggested a way i could help them do this at minimal or no cost prior to their diagnosis. Not often a plumber suggests a way you can do something so they don't have to charge you an arm and a leg for the service. Will definitely call them again when i need any plumbing work in the house!

We've had some mixed experiences with plumbers in our area over the last few years, and I'm really thankful that we found John Luke Plumbing & Heating.

We had a slow leak from a pipe in our basement connected to our heating system, and based on an estimate from another plumber, John Luke's estimate was extremely reasonable. Plus, while they were here we had them repair a radiator that hadn't worked in over a year (also very reasonable). His team was very professional -- skilled, respectful, and efficient.

I highly recommend them, and I only wish we had found them sooner.

I was so impressed with John Luke plumbing that I was compelled to write a review. Tom came to our home to give us an estimate on a new hot water heater. He was extremely honest, letting us know that we don't need a new one right away, provided reasonable pricing (especially when compared to the other quotes I received), and took the time to answer all of my questions. I can't say enough good things; when we do anything plumbing related moving forward, John Luke will always be my first call!

I'm very happy with John Luke Plumbing & Heating. I needed some heavy duty but not urgent plumbing work. Their price was fair and I appreciated their honesty. Another plumber wanted to charge us for a bunch of unnecessary work and these guys came in and told the truth and did what they said they would do. Imagine that.

Good guys. Also John Luke himself came in to check and verify some things and offered me some sound advise about home owners insurance while he was here.

I will happily recommend this company. While I wouldn't say they're cheap, they are fair and honest and don't charge for unnecessary stuff.

Their service is excellent and prompt...they fit me in their schedule and did an excellent job of fixing my problem. Came home to a flooded basement. After 630pm. I called the emergency number and John himself returned my call. He walked me through a number of things to check to avoid a costly visit. Then called me back to check on what we discussed. Doesn't appear to be a plumbing issue but John spent more than 2 calls and 30 minutes talking me thru everything and giving me some thoughts on what it could be.

John was fantastic in helping my family out with a difficult situation. I returned home from a vacation weekend with my wife and 2 year old to an ice cold home. Our boiler had failed at some point over the weekend when the temperature dropped in the single digits and the house was frigid. Since it was a Sunday, almost no heating companies were open and available for an on-site visit. John made it over within roughly 30 minutes and had us back up and running within 2 hours. John walked us through our boiler system (which is over 60 years old) and discussed possible options to avoid repeated problems in the future. Being an engineer myself, I appreciated the honesty and accuracy of his assessment of our system and his quotes were more than competitive with other heating companies in the region. I highly recommend John for any heating job or installation in the future.
