Great company to work with. Mid January my water tank ruptured the day after I had some oral surgery. My mother had to call in and ask for someone to be sent out because I had a mouth full of marbles. Ed and his son were at my house in about 30mins. They were able to restore my water and route it through my boiler so I had heat. Just not hot water, because I needed a new hot water heater for that. I got sticker shock at what they wanted to charge me for that, so I opted to buy my own and have them install it. Flash forward to a week later, Ed Jr. and another technician arrived on time only to discover I bought the wrong type of water heater. (Insert Homer Simpson ""doht"" here). They then explained to me again (as Ed did) why I needed a power vented water heater and why it was so much more expensive. What I didn't realize was that the quote Ed gave INCLUDED installation and they would also warranty it. That made his quote make much more sense and was absolutely in line with a reasonable cost. Flash forward another week (they're busy, it's winter. No prob) They show up again and within 3 hours a new water heater was installed, my old one was removed and my basement looked like nothing happened. I would absolutely recommend this company. They're good people who do a great job.

Our furnace died 2 days before Christmas 2021, I immediately called Groya and that same day (in less then 2hrs) a technician was out to my house. The prognosis wasn't good for the furnace but they were able to install a new furnace the very next day. The installation was completed in a timely matter and the mistake from the previous installers (we had our home built in 04) was corrected and we feel very confident that our new furnace will last for many years to come. Thank you Groya for the excellent service.

Called about haveing a water heater installed, was told that because I didn't buy it from them ""they had no interest"" in doing business with me. At the very least the rejection could have been more courteous. Very not impressed.

Appointment was set for 8:30 and they showed up at 8:20. Time EST for job was 6hrs and was completed in 5.5 hrs. It was a difficult job as the had to completely disassemble the furnace to replace the secondary heat exchanger. When complete it worked great. Better yet they worked on air flow to my heating vent as the only escape farthest away from the furnace had low flow. They changed the blower speeds and fixed some duct and now is better than original install. When finished they cleaned up all trash and the swept the garage area. Very professional group. They are now a number in my contact list.

The workmanship was satisfactory but the billing and customer service left much to be desired. When I called to inquire why we were charged $50 more than the quote given on the day of the repair I was told that the plumbers don't know the cost of anything unless they call the office. Either the quote should have been honored or their plumber should have called the office. Also, the per hour pricing was confusing. When I called to address my concerns my questions were met with a defensive attitude. Basically, there was no regard for us as valued repeat clients. Enclosed with our payment for their services was a letter to the owner. We were hoping he would at the very least call and assure us that isn't their usual business practice and at least attempt to repair our long business relationship but no response was received.

We're going to be doing a complete remodel on the kitchen and two bathrooms. We won't be using John Groya Plumbing.

I have a leaky pipe under my sink so I chose these guys to come and fix it last Friday, 01/06/12. I waited until 3:39 only to get a phone call from this guy. I had already been waiting for two hours to hear back from him at this point so was relieved to have heard anything from him. Unfortunately it is now Monday, 01/09/12, and he did not show up at 8:30 AM like he said he would. No apology and frankly I'm tired of the unprofessional manner in which he handles business. I would not refer him to anyone I know for fear of embarrassment. I wish he could just be at least honest, timely, and professional.

I called on a Friday at 1:30. They weren't able to get me in until Monday, which seemed reasonable for me. I made an appointment for the following Monday at 8:30, supposedly their first house call of the day. I waited until 9:20 am and decided to make a phone call to inquire about why so they were so late. I was told that they make a ""courtesy"" call before coming to the household to make sure someone is home. He called at 8:07 and I had my phone on vibrate. I was NEVER informed that there would be a ""courtesy"" call.

John Groya called me back to tell me that they wouldn't be able to be back to until 3:30 or 4:00. I find this to be unprofessional and if I have an appointment than I have an appointment. I didn't know it needed to be confirmed. So, basically my entire day has been scheduling ruined from this company. Maybe this plumber needs to behave like the cable companies and give a time frame from 8 to 5.

I would recommend finding another plumber just based on the fact that this company is unreliable. I would never use them again.
