Terribly unreliable. Had an appointment and he never showed nor sent me an update. In the evening he sent a text saying he had texted the wrong number about the time he was supposed to be here. However, that doesn't make any sense because I had texted him mid-day asking for an update so he had my number. Today, I got a completely different story from him saying the job he worked on before mine took longer than expected. Unfortuantely, he has become unreliable.

This is the second time I have used John D Plumbing. The first was two years ago to replace a garbage disposal in a rental I own. This time was to replace two toilets in same rental. John provided the units, installed them, and hauled away the old ones. The job was done on time, budget (very reasonable), and of the highest quality. I highly recommend!!

We had a plumbing emergency. Small lake developed under our kitchen sink due to clog. Based on the reviews here, I decided to text him that morning. Got a quick response and then said he would come to our place first. He was at our place within 20 minutes. He quickly addressed issue, but needed to come back to finish as he was running late for next appointment. He got issue under control before he left though. Came early next morning and fixed all the issues at a reasonable rate. Took time to explain what was going on. Seemed very knowledgeable. Very personable. Will definitely call him again if needed.

John D is AWESOME! I called this morning, got voicemail but with a number to text. I texted, he replied within 30 seconds asking if I was free immediately! I high tailed it home, he snaked my drain, and less than 30 minutes later everything was taken care of. I happened to call another plumber before I saw John's listing and left them a message...they still haven't called me back ;) John will forever be my go to plumber.

Woke up this morning to a leaky toilet. Called compared ratings on Yelp and started making calls. To be honest John D was the 2nd call that I made, and I am glad that the first one didn't answer the phone. John D not only answered but was able to come out within 30 minutes. He quickly took care of the issue, charged a reasonable rate and was polite and courteous.

Definitely deserves his 5 star rating.

It looks like I'm simply adding on to what others have already stated, but when I needed some quick help (leaking pipe in basement) John (a) quickly responded, (b) made it out far faster than anyone else - two days, when others told me 2 weeks, and (c) actually arrived EARLIER than his scheduled weekend appointment.

He took the time to explain what went wrong (damaged original copper pipe), first tried a less expensive fix, and then eventually went way beyond my pay-grade by welding a new piece of pipe.

His calm and pleasant demeanor helped my less-than-calm (my basement is going to be flooded out!) feelings. I'm hoping I don't need his services in the future, but at least know who I can call if I do.
