We have used John D for plumbing repair and installation for nearly 10 years now. He's always prompt, polite, efficient, and I feel like he offers a good value. He has come to our home for big and small emergencies ranging from a clogged pipe to our water main into the house breaking, helped with remodeling jobs (installed gas lines, dishwasher, etc), and we have referred him with confidence to our friends. He's a trustworthy and honest repairman. He will offer you options and not just convince you that you must have the most expensive option. He has also helped us find other contractors when needed (septic pumped, line drilled into the house) who were professional, reasonably priced and gave us good service.

I've read a couple of recent negative reviews here and find them quite odd. One comes from a person in another state and I have no idea why they'd feel they could rate a local tradesperson. And both reviewers have lots of negative reviews under their names and I think they may be connected as they both seem to be in the marijuana industry. I know John has his own personal opinions and may have taken a stand against working in an industry he does not support - why beat him up for that? Call the next person on the list. He did NOT give you bad service, just chose not to work for you. Just as you can choose who to hire or work for yourself.

We sprung a leak when we were replacing the vinyl floor with tiles. The vinyl was glued onto a subfloor on top of the house's subfloor. When we pulled up the first layer of subfloor, one of the nails we pulled up was actually nailed into the pipe. John actually found another part of the pipe where a nail nearly punctured it, because the pipe was almost touching the subfloor. He was very knowledgeable and got the job done well! Would definitely use him again if the need arises, but hopefully there won't be another for a while.

I was so happy to find a plumber who was not booked up for days or weeks! So many plumbing problems are small jobs, but important to the person who needs their broken toilet to work again. John was able to come out the very next morning after our phone call and immediately diagnosed the problem and replaced the broken parts. He is very personable and easy to talk to - you can always learn something by watching, too. Be prepared with cash or checks - he does not take credit cards.

I was trying to help a friend out with a plumbing project, and I managed to crack a pipe in the wall, which was 20 years old and made out of cheap plastic. There was an immediate flood in the house and everyone went into emergency mode. One of my jobs was to get a plumber, and I managed to find John D.
He immediately left home, even though it was nearly 5 PM, and drove right over. He was quick, thorough, professional, and relatively inexpensive considering it was an after hours emergency.
A true pro and a gentleman.

John was awesome. Knows his stuff. Hard working. Reasonable rates. Helped us, on short notice, to plumb the only bathroom in our new home that didn't have a shower. Came back twice on short notice after other work had been done and unanticipated things came up. We wouldn't have been able to do this without him and his colleague who came out the final time and worked just as hard. Will definitely hire again and highly recommend. Thanks John!
