I hired John for an emergency water heater replacement. I found him on Yelp,He was prompt, courteous, professional, and neat. He is definitely a expert in the trade and was able to adequately answer all of my concerns. It was very much appreciated that he was able to come so fast as I was hosting family for the weekend, so not having hot water was a major issue. Many thanks to John for saving the day! I just used this service and feel that I was completely taken advantage of. I hired John Conlon to start my heating up. The pipes were full of air. He quoted me $195 which was fair. When he tried to get it working, a heating pipe burst as it had been cold and there was a problem zone. He then upped the price to $600 cash which he made me agree to on the spot. There was now water coming down in the inside of my garage so I had no choice. I thought he was going to fix the broken pipe for that amount. Instead he spent 1.5 hrs. TOTAL and got the heat going in my house except for the room with the burst pipe. So for $600 cash which is the only thing he would take - he got the heat going which initially he said would cost $195. He spent an extra bit of time splitting off the heating pipe but still left me with a freezing cold bathroom and bedroom--and I'm still concerned that the water pipe could now freeze. He was also not friendly and seemed annoyed the whole visit. When I asked why he said that 15 years ago, I closed the door on him quickly. I have no recollection of this as my spouse was the one who hired repair people at that time. And it isn't my way. Make your own opinions here. Can't say I feel good. Feel ripped off and manipulated.
