In the past I have called John and not received a call back at all. This time John did not call back right away but I did get a call the following day. When he did call back he worked with me to find a time he could come out and look at our leaking hot water heater. He was scheduled to come out mid afternoon. I called three times during the day to check in and he never answered (and never showed). He called me the next day and apologized and asked when we could re-schedule. I had already found someone else to come out at that point. I know that people are very busy but he could have at least called and let me know he wouldn't make it.

It started when our booster pump went out on a Sunday, so we called John Chan Plumbing left a message, and then we called back Monday morning, but he couldn't make it out until the next day. After 3 days without water, John came, assessed the problem, ordered the pump, and it was another day and a half until we got water. Ever since the new pump was installed, the water pressure has been terrible: there are weak trickles coming out, then stronger a little later, but nothing consistent, except for weak pressure. Now, we can understand there may be another issue or an adjustment to the pump, but before the pump went out, the water pressure was great. So, we called John Chan, and he said he couldn't make it out until sometime the following week. We were patient, but no call from him all week, and we have now called a total of 7 times, left messages, asked if he was ok, but no response whatsoever, not even a courtesy call. It's been 4 weeks now, and I suppose he is ghosting us. After a $1,665.00 bill (which we paid immediately) I would expect much better service, and at least a courtesy call back. While we have recommended his work to friends in the past, I cannot in good faith, recommend his services nor professionalism after this terrible experience.

Phone/mailbox was full for about a week... was a referral by my home warranty... took weeks to get someone to come out... then totally disappeared - no response to my calls OR the home warranty company. Plumber that came out was a good guy... business owner deserves to be out of business - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Worst customer service ever! He acted like he was going to take the job and made me wait weeks and not just that he never answered my calls what a waste of time,I would not recommend this ""company "".

John has worked on my building several times, and each time he provided excellent service and quality work. Last week, I had a small leak in front of my building. Upon calling him, he came right over and fixed everything in few hours. Not only that, he improved the setup of my piping so future problem would be much more manageable. I highly recommend John. He is a top plumbing providing superb service. Super honest as well.

John Chan and his crew saved us from disaster last winter when our crawl space flooded during that year's ""atmospheric river"" event. They showed up quickly, got right to work, and within a couple of days everything had been fixed and we could start to breathe easily again.

We have used him for other projects, and will again in the future. As other reviewers have noted it can sometimes take a while for him to call you back (or show up), the only reason I deducted a star. But we are still fans, and grateful for the quality of his work.

Incredibly unprofessional service, particularly the owner. They leave repairs incomplete, do not return calls or emails. I only dealt with this company because they were contracted by my home warranty company (if I had a choice, I would have gone elsewhere, especially after reading some of the reviews on Yelp). Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time!

We called John around 7:30am when we had our water back up one morning. He was super friendly and assured me that he would be by in the afternoon. He was at our house by 1 to see what the problem was and snake the pipes. He was done by 1:30. Super friendly and efficient. Plus he didn't charge us an arm and a leg for same day service

My husband had attempted to set up an appointment several times for a repair with no response, poor customer service. We will be contacting another company willing to respond to our inquiry.
