We wanted to replace our leaking water heater tank with a tankless unit. Called Chris, and he asked me to text some photos. He checked how many bathrooms we have, and then sent a competitive estimate for a Rheem, including the full installation. The process was quick and effective, and I liked the way he responded to my follow up questions.

Hired him, and couldn't be happier. He and his colleague came out next morning and it took about 4-5 hours to install the tankless unit. Great unit, good workmanship, left everything clean. Chris was friendly, upfront and professional.

I would recommend him to anyone, any day, anytime. Great guy.

Call Chris if you are looking for the very best person to install your tankless water heater system. This past Saturday evening, we discovered a leak in our old 75-gallon conventional water heater. I called Chris on Sunday. On Monday morning (which was a holiday), he arrived at our home on time and spent the entire day removing the old water tank (which I can tell you was a monstrous task) and installing our new Rennai tankless water heater system. Despite the difficulty of the work, Chris wore a mask the entire time. By the end of the day on Monday, the system was up and running and working beautifully. It is clearly evident that Chris takes great pride in his work and is extremely careful and precise. He answered all of our questions with patience and clarity. Chris is a total expert. It is hard to imagine you will find anyone better in all of LA.

than the usual customer. He answered them all. This is over several days as I was screening potential installers. He's a Rinnai authorized ,trained and recommended installer. Incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and honest. I called because my tankless water heater suddenly died, and they were an authorized Rinnai tankless heater technician. I fully expected them to charge me an arm and a leg, knowing that I would be desperate to get my water heater back up and running. Instead, they provided instructions on what to do before they sent a technician out. Their instructions worked beautifully and my water heater was back up and running in a very short period of time. In the end, they didn't have to send anyone.

They could have easily sent someone out and charged me, but instead, they offered professional and courteous service. It is so refreshing to see honest businesses like Castro plumbing. Thank you and I would highly recommend them.

I called John Castro plumbing because my Rinnai water heater had stopped working and started beeping. I called up the company and Chris answered the phone who I believe is John's son. His knowledge was unbelievable. And he was so friendly and helpful.
We called on Saturday afternoon and fixed the problem right away and saved me from a weekend without hot water. This is the best service I've ever received from a plumbing company. This is the plumber you need to call for your Tankless Water Heater install, tankless issues or tankless advice. Chris was incredible, great communication, immediate response, accurate estimate of time, provided an estimate via phone/text, arrived on time and is just a great person. His work is outstanding. I texted Chris from John Castro Plumbing when I discovered our tankless hot water heater beeping, flashing an error code, and definitely NOT pumping hot water. 11pm on a Tuesday. He responded immediately.

In case that last bit didn't entirely land, lemme' make it 100% clear: I texted at 11 FREAKIN' PM and he responded in real time. Just the best service, better than I've ever seen from a plumber. Ever.

Chris knew the unit in question inside and out, and quickly diagnosed by text: our particular problem was common, repairable, and annoying. In fact, he noted he's working with the manufacturer on an aftermarket solve, which speaks to just how much this guy knows about tankless water heaters.

He asked if it could wait until morning, and of course it could. He gave me a direct line for his technicians. He promised to stay in the loop.

Called in the morn, and a smart and thoughtful tech was fixing the problem by 2pm. It proved... mildly complicated, requiring the unit to be taken apart, cleaned from inside out, flashed and reassembled. He hung in until it was done, explained every step, quoted costs in advance, got us up and running same day, wore a mask and acted like a gentleman.

I'm just incredibly grateful.

Service people often get a deservedly bad rap for lousy communication, unexpected fees, or just plain shoddy work. This was... exactly the opposite. Chris and team did that rarest of things: jumped in to solve a problem and totally overdelivered.
