Blankenship has done a wonderful - Professional job every time and my family has been using him over two decades now. He has never left us with any problems or mess. When I've used others who were more economical I've regretted it. John is sharp, can think through problems, fix them well done, never had a problem. A family member worked with him with a GC on some projects and recommended him and I'm fully satisfied with his Very Well Done Work. I've read some other reviews, sounds like a completely different person. Our home isn't easy, its one of those 100+ year old homes in these parts. He crawls under it, etc... Highly recommend, will use again, etc...

I have used John B since when his family were part of the business. He has been hired by me mostly as a solo plumber since. Because of my disability I have had him do specific jobs that some folks might argue are rather basic...like changing the washers in the tub area, replacing waterline hoses, sink fixtures, garbage disposal, wax seal toilets, understory leaks...and not so simple tasks (apparently) as replacing a water heater. I seriously never had a problem with him. Nice guy and easy going. If there is a quibble it would be that he is solo and his current service truck has some size/supply issues where he might need to get locally. I have called him in a pinch, and if not avail I have used others. He is honest about the quick fix if needed and his ability to take on (or not) a specific job. I have used him at my current home about 20 times in the last 15 years...mostly preventive maintenance but several 'emergencies' as well. A good source to have on file. I just used his services today btw.

Blankenship has done all the plumbing from faucets to re-pipe on the house I lease.
John is always on time and always gets it done. I have never had to call him back because something did not work. 5 years and still use the same company.

John has serviced my 1950s house and my 60 year old professional building since 1985. I just can't say enough nice things about him. He has made himself available as soon as humanly possible in several emergency situations. He has saved me big money by accessing areas, somehow, where other plumbers wanted to cut holes in walls. I find his fees to be more reasonable than the big advertised, corporate plumbing companies. Recently he found and repaired a leak UNDER my concrete slab. He has proven to be a workman of integrity and high ethics.

WE have used John for many years, he just finished a large project at our home.
We had a pressure problem with the water heater, and he did not have the tool to check it and neither did the gas company. he said he would try and get one, but he never followed through. To this day we lose our hot water periodically, and are going to hire a different plummer to fix the problem that John didnt. I would think after 5,000 he might follow through and finish the job. I am dissapointed and will not use him again.

Do not recommend John Blankenship Plumbing at all! His work was average at best. I had a water heater replaced. I initially had 3 different quotes from 3 different plumbers and all were in the same price range so I used John Blankenship Plumbing because John was available right away. In hindsight big mistake to pick him! I had an issue the same day he installed the water heater and when I called him he said it was not his problem that I had to call the manufacturer of the water heater! I couldn't believe that he didn't want to at least help me troubleshoot the problem, instead I was left on my own. Eventually he came back after much insistence on my part but he was useless. I felt that now that he had my money and wasn't going to get more money from me he didn't care anymore. I eventually had to hire another plumber to fix his work. Apparently John Blankenship had cut corners but the new plumber I hired to fix the newly installed water heater was much more knowledgeable and fixed the problem right away!! Based on my experience with John Blankenship I will never use him or his company again! Sloppy work and poor customer service combined with the feeling that all he cared about was getting paid makes John Blankenship Plumbing a do not recommend.
