If you have tough issues in an old house, Joe Rushing Plumbing provides pricy work that solves difficult problems. Reading some of these reviews, I can understand the frustration people feel as the tab increases as additional problems are found, and less expensive solutions tried initially, don't work. We've had the same experiences in our own home but don't feel like it's the plumbers fault, it's the situation. In our 30-year old house, thanks to West Texas water, we've had slab leaks multiple times in different parts of the house which required jack hammering up the floor and replacing lines in the floor with PEX run overhead through the attic. We've had most of the long runs in the house replaced and after 5-years or so, everything is holding up with no new issues. We've been using Joe Rushing Plumbing for many years and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again when having difficult problems. The stress melts away, soon after we've made the call, knowing from experience that they will resolve our problem, no matter how difficult. The deduction of 1 star is due to the cost of fixing difficult plumbing issues.

I had Joe Rushing come out 3/10/22. They ran a camera through my lineand charged me $180.00 or this. The camera fell into a hole so they stopped and said they would need to come back and jet the line. They came back on 3/21/22 and attempted to jet the line but could not because it was falling in a hole. They charged me $475.00 that day and said they would have to jackhammer my floor and dig down and replace the broken pipes and line the pipes that weren't currently broken. They told me this didn't have to be done right away . They gave us the new estimate for $2,300. The last line on the description of the estimate says "If we have trouble finding part of the line to tie on we will have to stop and discuss further options with new pricing." I wanted to go ahead and have it fixed as soon as possible so no other problems would occur. I went ahead and accepted the estimate and had them come on 4/5/22. They jackhammered my kitchen floor and dug to the pipes. He was unable to get to a good pipe to attach to so he said they would get back with a new estimate. They did not charge me anything that day . They left 2 mountains of dirt sitting on my kitchen floor. They sent me the new estimate on 04/07/22 for $4950. At this point I assumed this was going to be the total cost because they didn't charge me last time and because what it I had said earlier. I called them on 4/8/22 to see when they were going to come back and they said the dispatcher would get back with me. I didn't call them that weekend because I figured they were closed. Called back monday and they said they would get back to me she never returned the call. at this point they started to get rude with me on the phone. I'm not sure exactly what day it was she called back probably either 04/13/22 or 4/14/22. She was very unpleasant to talk to and told me the reason they hadn't gotten back to me is because they don't have anyone to line my pipes for a month. This didn't make sense to me because they knew my pipes had to be lined and shouldn't have jackhammered my floor until they had someone available to line the pipes. My mother ended up calling and she said the lady was very rude to her. The lady the next day and said the owner would be there sometime next week to do the lining. I called on the 4/18/22 to see when he was coming because the dirt was spreading all over my house and it was a disaster. For 3 days she would just tell me I don't know he's out of town but it will be sometime this week (4/18 to 04/22). After that third day I was fed up with how unpleasant they were so I turned to social media to post with pictures of the mess in my house after 2 weeks of dirt just sitting there. All of a sudden they had someone that very next day 4/20/22 to come clean up the mess and start working. The guys they sent were great very nice and respectful especially Tray. They worked everyday to have it finished on 04/24/22. At this point the dirt had been sitting for 19 days and had made its way onto everything in my house. They said they would send someone to clean. I'm not sure the date on this one but at least a week later they sent what i thought was someone's house keeper. We got a call an hour later saying she couldn't do it. They find a company to come do it but they can't come for another 4 days and at this point I was tired of the mess and just did it myself. We spent over 96 hours cleaning steaming and shampooing everything and still the dirt is not all gone yet. We finally get the final bill on 5/25/22 that is due 6/2/22 for $7250 minus $700 for cleaning. This was a 46% increase so i contacted them. They said it was both estimates together but that didn't make any sense to me because the first estimate said they would give new pricing not additional pricing. I've had to resort to submitting everything to my attorney. It's sad this company really dropped the ball on this one because alot of my clients have used them and have been totally shocked by what they have done. more pictures will be added later as i screenshot my cleaning videos.

My heater motor went out. I was expecting to wait a few days until someone could come and fix the problem. I called late in the the day to set up an appointment and they said they would have someone come out the same day to change the motor. I have always had good service from Joe Rushing.

In my 74 years of life, I have never been treated so well by such an honorable company as Joe Rushing Plumbing. I've never used them before for any service, but they have become my plumbing service of choice. I highly recommend them to all those looking for a dedicated, trustworthy, competent, plumbing service.

This was the third or fourth HVAC company that had come to my house. The others were trying so hard to get me to upgrade this and that, instead of just fixing the issue. The staff at Joe Rushing was amazing. From the ladies at the desk, to the gentlemen that serviced my AC. They were honest and upfront. They didn't try to force me to purchase things I didn't need. I'd trust them any day, and they'll be the only ones I go through in the future. Thanks y'all!

Called to get help with water heater. Said they aren't taking new customers. I guess they don't want to grow.

I had Joe Rushing Company come give us a quote for work. The plumbers are super nice but the office staff is HORRIBLE!!! Just HORRENDOUS!! I feel bad for Joe Ray Rushing who built this company up & retired only to leave it in such incompetent hands! They called me for a payment they said I owed and acted like I was trying to cheat them. I had no clue a bill was due and can't figure out why they didn't collect the day they came out. They charged me $100 to use their cameras. I paid but no way in hell would I use them! Joe Ray you need to fire your staff and get competent help and ones that aren't so RUDE!! They are ruining your business. They wanted to charge $17,000 to fix stopped up drain. I got it fixed by Pro Flow for $86

I had an issue with roots causing my bathtub to back up and slowly drain every time I ran the washing machine. I called Joe Rushing out to clear the drain.
They came and ran a camera and supposedly tried to snake the drain. They said the whole line needed to be replaced and sent me a quote for several thousand dollars to replace it.
I ran my washing machine that night and the tub almost filled up and held water for several hours. My problem was much WORSE after they came than when I called them. I called one of their competitors (Earls) who came out the next day and within 30 minutes had the drain clear. This was a few months ago and as of now everything is working perfectly.
I tried to discuss my issue with them however they were unyielding about getting payment for the "work" they performed and not willing to work with me. From where I am sitting, it certainly appears that they made my drain worse in the hopes of getting $8k worth of work out of me. I do not appreciate being held hostage. I will never deal with these people again and recommend that you go elsewhere. At best, they half assed the job and clearly didn't run the washing machine to check it before they left. It certainly looks like a nice attempt to extort more money out of me. STAY AWAY.

WHERES THE HONESTY?? EXTRA CHARGES like $25 for a body suit ha kidding right?? Nope just look at the invoice, Company charges extra hour($90/hr) of labor by design not only that but get every visit invoiced in writing signed to avoid surprises(my mistake). FYI, They will start charging you labor as in drive time to your home soon as they call to confirm you are home even a little bit before the call in my case and also after the technician has handed you paper work and sits for a rest so it will always tack on at least one hour of labor. Just imagine the extra cost if the service tech was stuck somewhere or had to stop even just for a quick drink? So shoo them away or make them get out of the truck asap to complete the work, long as they are parked on location you're paying them(GPS based I was told). Clocked the entire actual work time since I had nothing better to do and for both days it was 3 hours total. I was told by the service technician the initial visit would be of no charge since he did not really work plus it would be again another drive time fee and did not receive an invoice of the visit to sign. Came back the next day to start and complete the work which caused an extra cost in replacing the valve to the water heater since the technician wanted the water to be shut off to the whole house not just from the water heater (Thats fine+fair). The work was good but comes at an very high extra cost so please think carefully and get everything in writing signed, ask about extras cost like the body suit and plastic sheeting if you choose to go with Joe Rushing services since they will not tell you these things. Bitterly paid my bill that's different from my signed day of invoice since it would not be worth the fight in legal fees this time. Wish I could include a picture to show the difference.
