Joe Gray's Plumbing
Company Overview
Focused on residential work, with a few business service and installation of various common plumbing fixtures including hot water systems, taps, garbage disposals, commodes, shut-off valves, pressure regulators, damaged pipes, and more.
I launched my company after many decades in the field working for larger companies because I believed there was a gap in personal connection with customers. I developed my skills well enough to obtain my contractor's license, which I achieved in 1993, and I have been thriving on my own ever since.
Born in New York, I relocated to California in 1975 and spent time in hardware stores and building supply stores early in my career. I tied the knot in 1987 and raised a couple kids. I started my career in the plumbing trade around that time until I gained enough to complete my licensing test. My kids are all adults now, and we appreciate our life in scenic Temecula.

We've had Joel over twice in the last year for help with toilet problems. Both times he was over at our house quicker than we thought; same day but quick! Both times the problem was resolved quickly and efficiently. As we all know the cleanup is a necessary part of the service call and each time the bathroom was left in a clean, no smell condition.
Hats off to Joel Gray!
Rich in Temecula.

Called Joe for help.
I replaced the hot water heater relief valve on my hot water heater .
The water heater drainage tube continued to drip . Can you say ""Rancho water tier 4 pricing? ""
Joe figured out the water reducer valve was not working, 150 psi on the pressure reading.
Joe replaced the ""BRASS "" valve and the pressure read 75 psi, which is recommended for a residential home.
Keep your old ""BRASS"" water reducer a new one cost $100.00
You can have your old one refurbished for your next replacement for a fraction of the cost of a new valve.

I had ventilation problem with my water heater and I called Joe Gray. He came and checked my water heater for less than a hour but he charged $165. Then he changed his mind and asked for $135 with a $3 discount because I only had large bills. Overall, I believed that he's overcharged for the work. I would recommend calling another plumber if I ever run into any plumbing issues.

Following knee replacement surgery, my wife used the rest room at her physician's office in Temecula after a physical therapy session: the commode was slightly raised (elevated 2"") and quite comfortable for m wife aging with mobility issues. I was unable to find the item on Amazon.com or other sites. I had made 3 other alternative item purchases that afforded some comfort but fell short in meeting her satisfaction. So, I asked the office manager where they had acquired their toilet seat, and she happily referred me to Joe Gray's Plumbing. I contacted the plumber, and he quickly returned my call, asked if my toilet was oval or round; I checked and replied ""oval"", and he said he'd get back to me soon for installation. He quickly recalled, gave me, I believe a quoted, installed price of $182 with a tentative installation date predicated upon product receipt. The installation was subsequently changed and upon providing my home address (a rural community 26 miles from the doctor's office), the plumber replied that he thought I lived in Menifee. He later suggested that the seat be dropped off at the doctor's office with a total invoice price of $181 (material: $131, Labor:$50). Concerned about an installation problem for me, I questioned the complexity and was advised it was simply using hardware like the existing toilet seat. During a subsequent call after pickup, it was revealed the product was found on Amazon.com, and upon request, a part number 2L2150T was provided. Researching the P/N on Amazon revealed a product I had previously previewed but as I recall, the picture did not clearly show the elevation points. In my subsequent conversation with the plumber regarding his labor computation he revealed, included in his time of labor was the revisit to he physician's office to take pictures of the commode he had previously installed (rather than using the invoice for the previous order). When queried, the labor charge of $50 also included internet research, and his final drop-off to the physician's office for my pick up. I reviewed the price based on the info the plumber's office provided & arrived at normal shipping & tax total cost of $114.80 as opposed to $131 provided by the plumber, and I thought the $50 for labor was excessive. When asked by the plumber how much of a discount I believed was appropriate, frustrated and dissatisfied, I hastily answered $50 which prompted a response by the plumber that ended the conversation.

I called Joe Gray's Plumbing on a Tuesday afternoon to replace a hose bib on our rental property. Joe promptly called me back and the hose bib was replaced the next afternoon. Great service!!

Recently had a leak that needed to be repaired. The plumber show up within three hours. Fixed what was a pinhole leak a copper pipe 1/2"". Under our manufactured
home. He was here less than 2 hours charged nearly $ 700.00 . OUCH!!!!! I do not recommend this plumber for anyone. I called Joe's Plumbing and complained about the labor rate and I will report he offered a discount which was greatly appreciated. However it was no where near to being fair.

Called on Labor Day weekend and Joe actually answered the phone. He had Adam call me, after the holiday per my request. Adam called and we made arrangements for the following day. Very professional, pleasant, and didn't mind me hanging over his shoulder and asking questions. I would definitely recommend them to others.

We recently had a problem -- at the worst possible time! Our home is on the market, and yesterday we noticed the upstairs toilet was leaking with water coming down on the living room ceiling.
We had a potential buyer scheduled for the next day and needed to get this fixed. We called Joe Gray since we had used him on another problem a few years ago.
Apparently Joe is semi-retired and Adam is taking his calls. We were a little concerned since we had always dealt with Joe in the past. Not to worry, Adam is just great! He said he'd be at our place by 5pm, and was right on time. He had already picked up a replacement toilet. Within an hour, the job was done perfectly.
Getting same-day service, quality work and a reasonable price all scored big marks with us. In addition, Adam has a great personality and seems like the kind of guy you'd want to hang out with. I just hope he gets home once in awhile to enjoy his family :)

Thanks so much! Adam is the only plumber to actually look at the water heater and figured out the pilot light had gone out because of the venting. I now have hot water and didn't have to replace the whole thing. I will be going to on-demand tankless soon, and Joe Gray's Plumbing is going to do the work for me. Very trustworthy.

I was going to give them 5 stars, but then I had to call them out again for THE SAME PROBLEM, which was a clogged kitchen drain. Granted, this was 60 days after the first visit, but i was careful not to even use the disposal or put anything down the drain. this was probably my fault as I didnt want anything to clog it again. when I dumped a pot of water down, it clogged and backed up the same as before, so I called Joes AGAIN and he sent Adam out again to re snake it. It seems better now, but he still charged me full price. So I paid $250 total to unclog my drain. Fair? maybe, maybe not, but at least they could have charged me half, which would have been fair to me, since it wasnt really cleared the first time. obviously, no tip this time, even tho Adam was courteous and polite about it.
