Had ""Todd"" from Joe DeBelak out today to make a few plumbing repairs. One of the issues was with a Kohler wall mounted toilet, that other plumbers weren't familiar with. Todd was awesome!! He quickly and efficiently identified the issues and made the necessary repairs. Very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable with his diagnosis of the issues. As local real estate agent (I also remodel homes for resale) I can confidently recommend calling Joe Debalak Plumbing.

Had a plumber come in to replace a spigot on my home. While removing the old spigot, he snapped a pipe inside the home, which caused two hours of water clean-up for myself. Not to mention plumber was very matter-of-fact about it, never apologized, unless his apology was ""better get a shop vac and start sucking some of this water up.""

Called to see if by chance I could get a reduction on my bill for my time, and the mess I had to clean up and was told by boss man Bill that ""this stuff happens all the time, that is why we are matter-of-fact about it.""

I'm not looking for the service to be free, but the $118 for a half hour of labor, which I find to be a rip off, could at least been reduced a bit. Boss man Bill must be doing very well for himself.

This company came to do work on our house through a Developer we hired for an addition. Long story short, besides installing 3 new Heating/A/C units, 3 new condensers we had 9 service calls in 12 days. No heat, no a/c, each time someone different who complained about the other employee being incompetent. The worst was their plumber who installed the main gas line leading to the meter and we found out it was improperly installed and leaking gas when We Energies made an emergency visit to find the leak was a level 9-10 and considered a ""catastrophic"" situation. Anything over a 4 is considered catastrophic. If we had plugged in a lamp or vacuum cleaner our house would have blown up. They did not care. They did not call and even apologize. We have gone to another great HVAC company to rip out all their work and install all new units, we are afraid what they have done and we need peace of mind that we can sleep at night. When the new company came to give a quote and look at the job, they bumped into the 90 degree elbow pipe that the exhaust from the unit took outside, it fell off and was carbon dioxide. It was never glued on and the vibration from the heating unit would have eventually dislodged the pipe and we would have died in our sleep from carbon dioxide. THEY ARE THE WORST - GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! ZERO stars.

My mistake: I tried to do my own plumbing.

Their mistakes: Overcharging me for a follow-up visit, which should have been fixed the first time. Sending me the wrong invoice. Not responding to repeated calls. Not caring.

Be wary.

Beware, you don't want your project to be the first one they've done. And they won't tell you that ahead of time.

We have a Kohler steam unit that required repair. Was told that a neighboring condo owner had the same issue and used Debelak. I called and asked for the same repair person, which we did not get. The repair person was not very familiar with the electrical wiring and was suggesting that we pull a new wire through the bathroom walls. I suggested we just replace the clip and the end and showed him how to pull more wire out of the wall to make the repair. He came back with his friends electrical repair kit, after after cutting the wires, realized he had the wrong parts. On the third visit he brought his electrical friend who repaired the wire. I paid $50 cash to the electrician friend. While the new wire connection made the controller work, the unit still requires replacement. I received a bill of over $500 from Debelak. The owner (Bill) of Debelak told me that the $500 was the cost of his guy learning.

So after all that, we will still need to replace the unit. And pay a plumber to do it. The $500 with Debelak was a total waste. They don't spend your money like it was their own. And, oh by the way, they are not a Kohler ""leading edge plumber"".

I have recently remodeled and updated my entire master bathroom with the help of Joe DeBelak plumbing. The contractor from DeBelak was wonderful. He was thorough in his work and he helped me to understand what work was being done and why. He did not hesitate to answer any and all of my questions. He was very knowledgeable in helping me to choose quality fixtures that would last and have the look we wanted. The work was completed on time even with some plumbing issues that we discovered. I am very happy with the outcome and the quality of work and care that was put into this project. It was a good experience from start to finish. I will definitely be calling again when the time comes to remodel the downstairs bathroom.

Find a different plumber! I arranged with Debelak for service work more than 6 weeks in advance. (I needed to tear apart my kitchen ceiling to access a leaking second-floor bathtub -- and wanted to coordinate the various contractors far in advance so that the work could be done quickly and with minimal disruption.) I confirmed and double-confirmed with them. When the magic date arrived... NO SHOW! They were filled with excuses about their lack of internal coordination, other emergency calls, and so forth. In the end, it was all excuses. I called a different plumbing contractor (Ideal Plumbing) and they showed up immediately the next morning and got the job done. Do yourself a favor and avoid Joe Debelak Plumbing and Heating! They didn't keep their word on scheduling. Find a different plumber.

Recently experienced furnace problems so I called Joe Debelak Plumbing & Heating rather than Rozga Plumbing & Heating which had installed the furnace.

The service rep (Doug) from Joe Debelak informed me that my Trane furnace that Rozga installed was not wired properly - the Trane furnace is a 2 stage furnace and Rozga wired it so that it would only go on low heat and the high heat/high fan didn't work. In addition, they wired up the central humidifier into the furnace incorrectly.

Doug from Joe Debelak quickly diagnosed these problems and also replaced a faulty part and reduced his service fee because he felt bad that another HVAC company did poor work as it reflects bad on the industry. Furnace now goes on low and high heat and humidifier works great.
