Recommended Customer Reviews

Let me start off by saying that they should give back those accommodations they earned. I think the Better Business Bureau needs to rethink their grading of these knuckleheads. Our water softener machine broke a few days ago, and we went with these guys because we saw they had a lot of great reviews. So, we scheduled an appointment with them. The repairman NEVER SHOWED UP!!! We called them to find out why he never showed up. Turns out he had to take care of an emergency (not sure if it was family related or work related). What ticked us off is that they FAILED to call us to let us know that the repairman wasn't going to show up. They couldn't even come up with an excuse as to why they never called us. Why should the clients have to call them to figure out why the repairman never came? We ended up cancelling their service and they even tried to call us back, which we ignored. Don't believe these five-star reviews you see online. My guess is these reviews are from their close friends, especially since these reviews are coming from Facebook. Thankfully we didn't have to pay for the services, considering how much they charge their customers from these reviews. Word of Advice: Find a different company to get your AC fixed or whatever plumbing problems you have.

My apologies for the review from Columbia SC I neglected to state that I was house and pet sitting for my daughter in St. Petersburg, FL , located on 21st avenue when the AC went out So, first of all the company stated that all of their technicians would be COVID protected -they would be wearing gloves, masks and please do come any closer than 6 feet Anyhow, the ONLY thing this technician had on were booties which he continually forgot to remove when he went outside - and came back in the house NoMaks-NoGloved So, he did clean out the A/C drain pipe NOTHING more and the bill was $600.00 STANDARD cost for this service should be around $200.00 according to our AC folks here A reply and a refund for the overcharge would be greatly appreciated Please feel free to contact me

on 5/21/22 we had a new ac installed. it took 13-14 hours to install. the install wasn't completed and they had to return the next day to wire it properly. supposedly that was done. the new 3 ton 16 sear 2 cycle unit that cost me 13,600 isn't working. The house is 80+ degrees during the day. supposedly they came out and fixed a seal and came out and adjusted the fan. They have left my kitchen without power twice and is still without power. I have a new electric box and had to call the electrician out the first time to repair it and i refuse to do so again. everytime i call i get ill take a message. the GM Jason is ducking my calls and nothing is getting fixed. i shouldnt have to call daily to have their work fixed. oh they also said because a load of laundry would make the house 80+ degrees when its set on 70.. nope i dont think so. oh and blinds arent enough and that will make it do that also. no.. my old unit was 15 years old and it cooled the house and never had an issue keeping up. The only reason it was replace is because of mold and mold was going in the house. I would never recommend this company!

Called Joe cool for my yearly maintenance the technician that came out was James m amazing technician from beginning to end very professional kept me involved the entire time from beginning to end after the maintenance he still showed me all of the videos and photos I truly felt like I was apart of the service today very happy that I called showed me a few options that could help extend the life of my system will definitely be calling back soon thanks again James for being so professional

Called for maintenance. JAmes and Ray were the best techs! They went above and beyond. They even cleaned the leaves out of the outside unit. They we're very professional and exceptionally informative. Will recommend Joe Cool to all the owners in my association.

Pro: They appear friendly and informative. They came out and did the work and got my ac up and running. Con: Most expensive service to date. $7500 for a 1.5 ton install was quoted for an air handler and condenser install. Which is above the high average cost everywhere. Please note that this quote also reflects after military discounts that were applied. The salesman lied to me about the overall cost everywhere. Lied to me about the 5 year warranty for other places vs their 10 year warranty. Most all units come with a 10-year warranty I learned later. Called to cancel the installation, the person made me feel guilty for doing so.

Add another one star review for overpriced quotes to the list! Outrageously high quotes (and suggestions for services that aren't needed) and they even charge you to come out for a quote, won't quote / give an estimate over the phone. They also want you to join their program where you pay a monthly fee for discounted services, no thanks!

Joe Cool has been servicing our Plumbing/AC for years; however the last 3 times out the tech has quoted very either unreasonably high prices or unnecessary work. The tech came out to quote a toilet replacement, looked at the job and sat in his truck for 10 minutes writing up an estimate. He presented the quote and It floored me so said there was 'no way'. He asked about the kitchen faucet I asked him the install a part on a prior visit. His quote was $300.00 and I turned it down and did myself ..... it was such a simple job and totally out of ballpark. When baulking at the prices, tech asked 'you want me to call my Manager?' What I want is a fair price without the drama. I called another service and am so happy I did. They came out the next day and gave me a price that was less than 1/2 of Joe Cool's quote. I'm done with Joe Cool and will be taking my business and service contracts elsewhere.

I called this company to come out to check my AC unit and within 5 minutes of being here they tried to charge my $400 worth of work and when i told them I was not going to pay that outrageous amount because i never approved $400 worth of work they said they would waive the $400.. THIS IS HOW PEOPLE GET SCAMMED!!! This company is nothing but scammers. They wrote me an estimate for $1700... I went and got a new thermostat and install it and my AC is working fine now!!! People beware of the scam!!!! its amazing how blunt this company tries to scam there customers.... BEWARE!!!

Joe Cool has been on our """"Highly Recomnend"""" list of vendors until today. NO MORE! Called for plumbing service for a customer and I truly feel that the tech quoted a crazy high price so he wouldn't get the job - but he got the $49 """"quote fee"""" . What a great scam- visit a job site, quote a price 3 or 4 times what a reputable company would charge, collect the $49 and go to the next site to get the $49 rather than a job. Enough $49 fees makes for a pretty profitable day when you don't have to do anything but drive from rejected job site to rejected job site. Avoid this company at all costs (unless you have a spare $49, need a laugh and want their funny quote)
