I had the hardest time finding anyone who specialized in solar hot water heaters, so when I did find Jo-Mi Plumbing, I was thrilled. I live outside of their regular service area, so they threatened an extra $50 fee for travel, but then backed off that. They didn't charge me a fee, but I think they baked it into the time estimate, because they weren't here as long as they said they were. The technician came and was very nice, but very confused by our crazy system that some city program had apparently installed a while back. He ultimately charged us $300 to pour $16 worth of glycol into the system, and hose off our solar panel for a while. The problem, which was clanging pipes, wasn't fixed.
The weird part is everything that came after that. I spoke with Kelvin later who was extremely kind. He tracked down the manual for our system, said it was terribly engineered, and offered to remove it for something like $600-$700 dollars. We couldn't afford that, he said the system wouldn't blow up, so I called back to let them know that we'd like them to send me the manual he'd found and the bill for the $300. We'd just live with clanging pipes for a while. Six calls and text message over the course of a month and a half, and I finally got the bill but never got the manual or any of my other repeatedly asked questions answered. I've never had to beg to overpay a business before. I called to settle up, and again, weirdly, I still haven't been charged. In that phone call, I again asked for the manual, was told it would be sent, and it never was.
Everyone I spoke with was very kind, so I feel bad giving such a low star rating, but also I had a terrible experience getting anyone to follow up with me about any of my questions. It's been months, and my payment somehow still isn't resolved, with the problem being that they simply won't take my money (but keep saying they will)?! And yeah, our pipes still clang constantly.

I have been a customer of Jo-Mi for about 8 years. The other week, my kitchen sink was leaking profusely when I turned the water on. I tried to figure out the problem myself and had my dad and neighbor take a look at it, but in the end I needed to call Jo-Mi. The plumber Mike was in my condo for no more than 7 minutes. He diagnosed the problem by pulling out the wand on the faucet and tightening something. He did not need to look under the sink, use his flashlight or tools, or get on his knees. The leak was fixed when the loose part was tightened. Despite the shortness of the 7-minute visit, Jo-Mi charged me $100. The worst part is that when I took my dog out to pee later, Mike was still sitting in his truck in the driveway of my condo complex. He was texting. So I was essentially paying him to park illegally in the driveway of my building and send texts. I waved to Mike and wished him a good day. I am also sending my $100 payment to Jo-Mi now for the 7 minute visit. However, I will not be calling them again. And yes, I do feel a little stupid for not being able to diagnose the source of the leak myself. But I am not a plumber. I am a local customer just like most others. I am not looking for freebies, but $100 for 7 minutes seems out of line. So disappointing.

This is a very professional company. We have used them for years for various plumbing jobs (clogged sinks, toilets, installing new shower equipment, servicing our tankless hot water heater) and we have never been disappointed. Do excellent work, punctual, and they all know their profession. The whole team is great.

If I could, I would? give Jo- Mi a zero !!
How absolutely? disappointing?, frustrating and unprofessional? to spend over an hour going over the details of what needs to be done and then never even receive a quote for the job, which btw, was a ?substantial job (and worth a few thousands of dollars?).
I called Jo- Mi's office on a number of occasions to follow up on? the quote and receive?d calls from? the office and Kevin, himself, ?apologizing and asking? for more time, which we agreed to... Weeks have gone by, but we never received a quote nor at the end, a courtesy call or an? email. What a complete waste of time and energy. Now that I checked the yelp reviews, I guess other people? are stating similar experiences with Kevin and Jo- Mi. So don't bother - it's a waste of time.

20 years ago I would have given Jo-Mi a 5 star. Now, I have been waiting a month to get my toilet fixed. The parts were supposedly ordered in early December, and now, early January, I am told that they have to check on the part. I was told that I would also need to replace a faucet. I ordered the faucet myself and had it 2 days later. Still waiting on Jo-Mi to replace the old one. I am told every day that they will call me back, and they never do. Tim is my service man. Really poor service, in fact, no service.

Jo-Mi has been my go to plumber for decades. Reliable, honest, and helpful are the virtues of service they possess and i can always count on Jo-Mi to deliver every time.

Fantastic experience with this company. I'm in a newly built house and am experiencing numerous problems related to the sub-standard plumbers who worked on the construction here. I've had several other plumbers come to trouble-shoot. None have been as professional or as capable as Sergio from Jo-Mi. Just plain excellent service.

Jo-Mi has come to our house to flush our Takagi tankless water heater every year since we had it installed. It cost us $200 each time. Now, after at least 10 years our tankless has intermittently shut off, yielding cold water mid shower many times. We thought we should find a company in the Valley to fix it. We did and David Whyte came out. He asked who had serviced the unit and what had they done. I told them Jo-Mi has flushed with a vinegar solution every year. They had never cleaned it or run diagnostics. That they had never done this in all the years is disgraceful. Having a tankless water heater is great. Paying for something that doesn't really do much is a waste of money. I only wish that I had checked this out a long time ago.

Scheduled an appointment for an estimate, two business days in advance. Two hour window at mid day. At the end of the two hours I called and was told that the person that was supposed to give the estimate was just leaving the shop, at least 45 minutes to an hour from my location. Thanks but no thanks. Wish I had my two hours back.

While visiting on a job, plumber with long hair and a beard decided to help himself to fruit from the fruit trees on our property without asking. What else do they help themselves to? Just asking......
