The owner contacted me five days after the installation when I had left very negative reviews on multiple sites. He agreed to reimburse me for the costs of repairing the damaged thermostat controls and did so promptly. Due to the excellent overall quality of the installation and quick reimbursement for repairs, I am upgrading my review to four stars. The loss of one star is for demanding final payment before the system was fully operable and the five day delay in getting back to us when it was known that we were very dissatisfied with the status of the installation at the time that the installer had left.

JNR Plumbing was fabulous! They came within a day of calling for an appointment and did some detective work only to find the problem that (the other company that came) completely missed! They were lovely to communicate with, respectful of belongings that had to be moved and HALF of what the other company quoted (after I had to tell that other company what the problem was) I plan to use JNR for all our plumbing needs and highly recommend them for yours!

Wasn't happy at all. After pre-paying for an estimate, the plumber/technician arrived at my house. Rushed through an explanation that was not very clear to me over the phone. Gave an outrageously high estimate to do a job that he said might not be very successful nor pleasing upon completion.. I got the distinct impression that they were not very interested in the job, hence pumped up the estimate. When I complained to the owner, I was given an argument. I guess the customer isn't right ever with this company.

They charge to estimate work, then say they will apply that charge to service. After an ""extensive survey"" and a small fix to a toilet, they charged over $500. The thing is, they completely disappeared and never called me back, so that I could not even apply the estimate to the work if I wanted to. Even odder, they refused to leave until my house until I logged into their site and gave a credit card payment. Whether those things are related or not, doesn't really matter... I paid a lot for information that will do me no good, since I have to call someone who will actually be willing to do the work, and they will likely want to do their own inspection.

Great service. Dario the technician was on time and extremely helpful. All costs were presented upfront and I could not be happier with the work done. I would highly recommend these plumbers.

Fast and prompt service with easy online booking and scheduling, but costs an arm and leg!

Charged me almost $600 for a vapor sensor replacement.

I aim to be as fair and balanced as possible when it comes to the reviews I leave, especially when it comes to small businesses. I'm the first to leave 5 star feedback when I work with a company that goes above and beyond.

For that reason, I trust that others do the same when they post reviews. I have to say that I was encouraged by the great reviews JNR Plumbing had, so I reached out to schedule a consultation. I did not end up going with them for my kitchen remodel.

Here were my main takeaways from the experience and my reasons for giving JNR a two-star rating:
- They charge a $150 fee just for providing a quote, which can be used towards the service if you choose to go with them (this is of course a gamble, but just be aware of this before engaging with them)
- It seems like a larger operation, so they were very responsive and somewhat professional
- The person they sent out wore PPE and took necessary precautions
- They arrived within a couple minutes short of the of the arrival window cutoff time
- For reference, they quoted me over $12,000 for the following scope of work: relocating a washer and dryer to the basement directly underneath the kitchen (with laundry sink), hooking up a bar sink where the washer and dryer were, moving the reverse osmosis filter from the main kitchen sink to the bar sink to feed to refrigerator, moving the main sink over a few inches, installing a dishwasher, and obtaining a permit. $11,600 for labor and material; about $1K for permit. I received a more reasonable quote from a competing service. Not complaining about the price - I'm sure people are willing to pay that. It just didn't fall within my budget
- I emailed to express my concerns about the price and that I would be going with another service. They were mostly respectful, but mentioned that they ""cannot control a person's price range for work."" The more appropriate response in my opinion would have been to work with me to see what my budget is and see if there were any minor work arounds or ways to come up with a mutually beneficial solution. The response signaled to me that this company might not really need my business
- Reading defensive responses to others who left lower than 3 star ratings was off-putting

Overall takeaway - if a company charges $150 just for a consultation, ask yourself why, since many others can offer one for free. I'll never know whether JNR was great at what they do or not, since I'm not working with them. However, I'm personally choosing to work with an empathetic business that values its customers and seeks to understand their needs.

Co. was able to provide service the next day. Technician gave a quote for the job, which I thought was high, but he would not say how he calculated the price. I accepted the quote, and the work was done well, but completed in less than an hour. The price, however, clearly reflected several hours of labor.
I complained to the owner, but was told that there was nothing they would do.
I would not use these guys again, and recommend anyone thinking of using them get a competitive quote first.

JNR called me back quickly and even was able to send someone out the next day to address our problem. In addition to the usual email confirmation of the appointment, when the technician was on his way they provided a tracker where I could see (on a map) how far away he was.

As far as the work, Brett helped us identify a couple of small gas leaks in the basement of our recently purchased home. He addressed both in an hour or two and even removed an additional empty pipe that wasn't needed along the gas line.

Recommended team! Will have them back for our sump pump & water heater needs.

Hired JNR plumbing back in Nov 2016 to run a propane line into my house and connect to range (on electricity before). And last week when technician from my new propane supplier came for inspection, he found the plumbing work was in gross violation of code that requires no more than 2 pound psi propane inside residence. basically they ran the line in directly with over 10 lb pressure and then put a regulator on the side of range. In stead, the right install - as the suppliers technician did for me in 10 minutes, is to put a regulator outside the house and lower the pressure down to 2 at that spot. It's such a bad mistake so I called them today to ask them first to make sure they didn't leave any other customers in DANGER like this, second I requested them to cover me for the cost of the correction work. It is just 250 (I paid them 1700 last year for the job) which is nothing for me but I think it's a right thing to do so they can take it as a lesson. But the person I spoke to was both evasive and rude and hang up on me twice - to be fair, this is to the contrary of my impression of them when I saw them do the work a year ago. It's just unsettling to see a service business would not stand behind their work like this.
