JNR Construction was great to work with. I called to have a quote on my bathroom and not only did they go through how their pricing works upfront, they were intentional with helping me save on things I didn't realize I could save on. They did an amazing job and I ended up hiring them for more work around the house.

JNR construction is one of the most honest hardworking company. The attention to detail in their work is exquisite. Walking into my house after it was all done was like walking into another brand new home. I love how they communicated with us every step of the way during our construction work. My home did not look like any work was done on how tidy it was left once done. I would give you 10 stars highly recommend to give them a call I promise you, you will not regret it.

Just wanted to send a warning to all my neighbors. I posted on here last week looking for a reputable company to do some remodeling work around my house. Russel Perna JNR Construction951 showed up with another guy named Alex to give an estimate. Within 4 days he was pressuring me to send a deposit while I still haven't decided if I wanted to go with him. He then got upset when I called him out for pressuring me so hard and began sending me nasty text messages. My husband had to get involved and called him out for being disgustingly unprofessional and disrespectful to me. His response was that he knows where we live and could come back to our house to settle this with my husband!
I later did a little more digging and he was using an invoice from a totally different construction business that has many great reviews on yelp. When I called the owner of the other construction business, the owner said he has never really worked with Russel Perna before and this was going to be the first time. When I did more digging I found Russell Perna's yelp as JNR CONSTRUCTION. There he has several terrible reviews about his work, his attitude, and claims that he is a scammer.
Buyer Beware...do NOT use Russel Perna @JNRConstruction. He may also be going as Construction Pros
Check out the other reviews under not recommended reviews. The last three reviews in the last 5 months are all horrible as well.

I called the for estimate to remodel kitchen and bathroom couple of months ago and they provided me with the estimate.now I called them to do the job and their estimate went up by 60-70% and the time went up from 3 weeks to 6 weeks so guys just be careful they give estimate just to get u in the door and then once u don't have a choice they hit u with a real estimate.make sure u have them sign the estimate or don't deal with them

So I bought a house made in the 50s that the previous owner had built a long side room on. The side room was not insulted (so hot during the summer) and since it was built off the side of the original house it had one wall with hard stucco exterior walking, exterior light fixtures, attic vents pouring into the room, and a very large window (from the 50s) looking into the main living room in the original house section.
So I found this company on NextDoor not Yelp. I previewed their work on their Instagram page and reached out to Russell. It's a two man, father/son business with both working in the field themselves for years. First I want to note he gave a speedy response, realistically went over what I could do to the room and after giving me a quote on the spot we agreed he start the following Monday.
I do want to note they do not have a contractor license but can still get work permitted as the permit can be pulled as if you are doing the work with knowledge assistance. Russell does everything up to code and you can check every step of the way to make sure of it but you're paying half the cost of a licensed contractor since you don't have the insurance fees etc. This is something you gotta be at peace with and I was but I know not everyone would be.
Anyways they took my very long horrible room, insulated it, cut it in two so no I have a nice office/spare bedroom and on the other open side my husband has a ""man cave"". This process involves tearing down a large window, taking out a bedroom door, taking out a patio door, insulting the room, closing up the ceiling flat, drywalling everything, putting in new electrical ceiling lights, painting and sticking the outside. It took two weeks.

Russell talked to me everyday both at the start of the day and the end of the day. He answered all of my questions and concerns. Towards the end of the job I was not very happy with the painting so he corrected it. They kept the area very clean and tools inside and neat in the room when they were done with the day.

My only negative is we did go over the original quote by about 1/6 the price. This was due to the cost of some of the material being more then originally thought/possibly due to covid production stalls. Anyways I know it happens but the trickle down effect caused us not to be able to buy furnishings for the man cave right away which cause disappointment. Russell can either buy all the materials and charge everything or he also can let the customer buy all the material and then just pay him for the labor. He does keep receipts though so no shady business.

Overall I 100% recommend this company. I eventually want to do something by with my bathroom and when I save some more money I will be calling these two again!
