I do not recommend this company. He came and did some very basic plumbing work at my house awhile back and it all failed within a couple of days. Had him back out to fix it and again it didn't work. I hired another plumber and he said the guy had not used new parts as was indicated when I received the JND quote, but rather jerry-rigged my old part for one of the areas (toilet that wouldn't stop running) and used parts that didn't fit properly on the other area (leak under kitchen sink). Like I said, very basic stuff. Was a breeze for the other plumber I hired and it has all held as promised.

I found Darren and JND when another company called near the end of their appointment window to inform me they could not make it. I had very limited time for repairs that were needed and Darren offered to come by at the end of the day to look at the job. He stayed in touch and showed up promptly. He took on the project on the spot at a price that was better than quoted from the other company. He completed the project in a couple of hours at the quoted price. He freed up a day for me and saved me a trip back to Redondo for these repairs. I have found a great, reliable resource in the South Bay. Darren is a knowledgeable, good guy. I learned from this visit that he was born and raised in the South Bay and that his passion is not plumbing, which he is very good at, but taking care of his neighbors.

If you want an honest, hard-working, plumber at a terrific price, call JND Plumbing. Last Saturday my main drain was clogged for the 2nd time in 2 days. Of course as luck would have it my son was having people over that night and we had to be at his high school performance in about 4 hours. I called the plumber who initially snaked it and he wouldn't even answer my call. I went on to call 5 other plumbers. Only one other even answered the phone. Jannette? from JND answered and troubleshot the call with Darren. He said he'd be right out. If that wasn't amazing enough, he was on an outing with his family at the time of my call. Who does that?!

When he arrived, he got straight to work on the roof. He hauled a huge rooter up to the roof vent and snaked it at least twice through. Then he went down to the ""clean out"" (it was actually put in wrong about 18 years ago, which is why he had to go on the roof too). He rootered from there into the street about 4 times. Unlike the first plumber, he would not stop until he felt it was right. He successfully cleared it and we were able to have my son's guests over without sending them to Denny's to use the bathroom.

When he gave me the bill I almost fell over because it seemed too low for working about 2 hours, on a Saturday (when no one else would even answer the phone), interrupting his family time, and knowing how desperate we were to have this thing fixed. He saved the day and DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE of our situation.

Darren REALLY loves what he does and it shows. He is a genuine and friendly guy and I'm sure you will be happy with his service.

And no, I'm not a personal friend or relative of his.... he's that good!

Darren with JND Plumbing was referred to me by a friend who had previously used Darren to solve a longstanding problem that other plumbers had been unable to resolve. In my case, Darren researched the possible causes of my problem before showing up for the job (intermittent, loud ""fog horn"" noise coming from either the hot or cold water pipes), and devised a solution that solved the problem. His work was professional, clean and thorough. In addition, Darren is polite and fun to talk with (he has lots of interesting stories). His rates were reasonable. He even followed up days later to see if the problem had been solved. I would definitely use Darren again for any of my plumbing needs.

Darren was also very busy that day however knew of my dire need for help due to a drain that was backing up in the kitchen & Bathroom sink. I was very pleased with Darren's thorough work and professionalism. He explained what he was doing. He also went beyond what was needed for the job to make sure that the issue was fully resolved. He kept his word about the pricing at a very reasonable rate. He and his colleague, Mike, worked very well together and with a great sense of humour; they left the area clean as well. If you are looking for an amazing plumber ... this is it! Got his number from larger plumbing company (they couldn't come out until Monday and this couldn't wait). JND was already on a job, but said they could come over immediately after. Even though it was after their ""regular work hours"" and one of them had a child's birthday he would be late for. They said they heard the distress in my voice and just couldn't say no. Who does that??! Let me tell you I was so very grateful to them and their families for the time they spent making sure my big family dinner event would not end up washing dishes in the bathtub! Replaced 30 feet of galvanized clogged line from kitchen to bathrooms in record time. Let me tell you... they know what they're doing and did an amazing job.

OK, here it is. I have 3 daughters living at home (23-21-19) and they all use the same unstairs bathroom and haven't figured out that hair down the drain isn't good. Well it's 3 days before Christmas and family is coming from out of town and the upstairs sink is clogged and it's Saturday 12/22/12. All the plumbers are gone until January what to do. I was given a business card of JND Plumbing & Drains from a friend so I figured what the heck and called. Unbelievable the owner Darren said no problem and he came out immediately and in no time had my drains running SUPER FAST. When he presented his bill I was twice amazed, he was more than fair. He is just a genuine guy who cares about people and giving good service. Thank you Darren and thank you to my friend who gave me your number. You are now on my cell phones speed dial.

Darren at JND was referred to us by our regular plumber when we had a serious sewer line blockage. Living on a hillside, the blockage was some 50-60 feet down our back slope. Darren and his crew responded immediately, determined that we had a broken sewer line, and began digging a hole big enough to bury a truck.
The main line was completely filled with tree roots, which they removed completely and replaced a major section of our main line with new pipe. Darren even thought enough to install an additional clean-out valve near the spot of the original blockage, just in case for future use.
Their work was thorough, professional, and quite reasonable. Darren was kind enough to keep us updated throughout the process as to what they were doing and their progress. Needless to say, we are very pleased with Darren and his crew, and
would gladly refer them to our friends or anyone else looking for a good, honest plumber / drain specialist.
