Darren was great. I was referred to him and my friend said he was honest with fair prices -- with excellent work. My referral was absolutely correct. Darren removed my old water heater and installed a new tankless system for my house and also completed a full bathroom remodel for me. I was able to install the tankless system, new tub & shower, new custom double sink and new toilet for much lower than my other quotes while not sacrificing the quality of work. I will have Darrwn back for my other big projects as well as the usual drain clearing from time to time. A good plumber is a lifesaver and I'm glad I finally have one I can rely on!

On a separate issue I had a pipe nearly burst under my kitchen (underneath the house). Darren came over right away and fixed it quickly. I've referred him to my Mom and I'll continue to refer him. He saves me money and keeps my plumbing in great shape.

As the owner of a very old house with plumbing to match, I've had the need for his services many times over the years, and he's always done a fantastic job that's far exceeded my expectations.

When you call JND Plumbing you can expect Darren to show up on time, troubleshoot the problem quickly, explain what your options are to rectify the situation, quote a fair price that will be much lower than you'd pay anyone else to do it, and finally complete the job in a timely and professional manner. You can also rest assured that regardless of your problem, he's more than capable of solving it.

While I've had Darren replace a small run of drain line and snake my drain and sewer lines several times over the years, it was a forced remodel brought about by a completely blocked main sewer line and subsequent flooding of my first floor that really showcased Darren's full range of talents.

First and foremost, before my insurance company would even cut the first check I had to show that I had started on the repairs, since most homeowners insurance policies only cover the damage and not the cause. Well let me tell you, my insurance adjuster was extremely impressed that when they arrived a couple of days after I filed the claim, Darren had not only already located the problem, but he had also excavated and replaced 14 feet of my main sewer lateral line. The job that was standing between me and my insurance claim payout wasn't just started, it was completed.

Now that my main issue was resolved, I still was facing the nightmare of having my entire first floor gutted, including my kitchen and one of my bathrooms, so I decided to make the best of things and do as much remodeling as I could afford, and that's where Darren saved me a boatload of money. Here's just a partial list of what Darren did for me...

-- Replaced and rerouted my entire house's sewer system.
-- Installed numerous clean-outs in both my front and back yards for easy access in the unlikely event of future problems.
-- Patched stucco after rerouting an upstairs toilet line.
-- Demo'd my downstairs bathroom shower and tub.
-- Replaced all of the drywall damaged in the bathroom demolition.
-- Installed a new tub and all associated fixtures.
-- Jack hammered a path through my concrete slab to reroute several drain lines.
-- Poured new concrete to replace what had to be removed once he put the new drain lines in.
-- Replaced and upgraded my entire house's gas line system.
-- Extended my gas line, two pressurized water lines and a drain line out to my detached garage which allowed me to move my washer and dryer from the kitchen to the garage.
-- Installed a new laundry sink and faucet in my garage.
-- Installed a new pressurized water line under my kitchen to accommodate the new refrigerator's ice maker.
-- Inspected all of my exposed pressurized water lines and replaced any that showed signs of possible failure in the not too distant future.
-- Replaced all of my angle stops so that I could rest assured that if I needed to shut the water off to a particular fixture I could without worrying if it was going to burst open at any moment.
-- Used his extensive background in new construction and remodeling to act as my consultant when I had questions or concerns about what I was being told by the general contractor, or one of their subcontractors, that was responsible for the repairs covered by my insurance claim.

...and the list goes on and on. It's also worth noting that he did these various jobs over the course of several months and many times came at a moments notice when my general contractor found yet another plumbing or gas related problem that needed to be addressed before they could continue putting my house back together. My family and I spent the first five months of 2015 living in a hotel due to the extensive damage caused by my main sewer line backing up into my house, and had it not been for Darren's advice and guidance, as well as the outstanding work he performed, we'd probably still be living in a hotel today.

Anyway, to say I've been pleased with the work done by JND Plumbing is a huge understatement. I recommend them to all my friends and family and I can assure you that if you have any plumbing or gas related problems, Darren and his crew can and will resolve them to your satisfaction. So give JND a call, and this will be the last time you ever have to go looking for a great plumber.

Darren has been assisting me with my two properties in Manhattan Beach for over 10 years. There is nobody more honest and diligent in the business. Weekend work, no problem. Small jobs, no problem. Ridiculously complex requiring outside of the box thinking still no problem. We had an ongoing main line issue when we moved into our house many years ago and Darren was the only plumber who actually solved the problem. He does not band aid fix anything, and every job he has done for me whether its main line, copper re-pipe, fixture etc... has stood up. I recommend Darren to anybody who has a need for a someone they can trust to get the job done the first time.

I do not recommend this company. He came and did some very basic plumbing work at my house awhile back and it all failed within a couple of days. Had him back out to fix it and again it didn't work. I hired another plumber and he said the guy had not used new parts as was indicated when I received the JND quote, but rather jerry-rigged my old part for one of the areas (toilet that wouldn't stop running) and used parts that didn't fit properly on the other area (leak under kitchen sink). Like I said, very basic stuff. Was a breeze for the other plumber I hired and it has all held as promised.

I found Darren and JND when another company called near the end of their appointment window to inform me they could not make it. I had very limited time for repairs that were needed and Darren offered to come by at the end of the day to look at the job. He stayed in touch and showed up promptly. He took on the project on the spot at a price that was better than quoted from the other company. He completed the project in a couple of hours at the quoted price. He freed up a day for me and saved me a trip back to Redondo for these repairs. I have found a great, reliable resource in the South Bay. Darren is a knowledgeable, good guy. I learned from this visit that he was born and raised in the South Bay and that his passion is not plumbing, which he is very good at, but taking care of his neighbors.

If you want an honest, hard-working, plumber at a terrific price, call JND Plumbing. Last Saturday my main drain was clogged for the 2nd time in 2 days. Of course as luck would have it my son was having people over that night and we had to be at his high school performance in about 4 hours. I called the plumber who initially snaked it and he wouldn't even answer my call. I went on to call 5 other plumbers. Only one other even answered the phone. Jannette? from JND answered and troubleshot the call with Darren. He said he'd be right out. If that wasn't amazing enough, he was on an outing with his family at the time of my call. Who does that?!

When he arrived, he got straight to work on the roof. He hauled a huge rooter up to the roof vent and snaked it at least twice through. Then he went down to the ""clean out"" (it was actually put in wrong about 18 years ago, which is why he had to go on the roof too). He rootered from there into the street about 4 times. Unlike the first plumber, he would not stop until he felt it was right. He successfully cleared it and we were able to have my son's guests over without sending them to Denny's to use the bathroom.

When he gave me the bill I almost fell over because it seemed too low for working about 2 hours, on a Saturday (when no one else would even answer the phone), interrupting his family time, and knowing how desperate we were to have this thing fixed. He saved the day and DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE of our situation.

Darren REALLY loves what he does and it shows. He is a genuine and friendly guy and I'm sure you will be happy with his service.

And no, I'm not a personal friend or relative of his.... he's that good!

Darren with JND Plumbing was referred to me by a friend who had previously used Darren to solve a longstanding problem that other plumbers had been unable to resolve. In my case, Darren researched the possible causes of my problem before showing up for the job (intermittent, loud ""fog horn"" noise coming from either the hot or cold water pipes), and devised a solution that solved the problem. His work was professional, clean and thorough. In addition, Darren is polite and fun to talk with (he has lots of interesting stories). His rates were reasonable. He even followed up days later to see if the problem had been solved. I would definitely use Darren again for any of my plumbing needs.
