He came out right away and fixed a part on my furnace, and it broke 5 days later. He came back out and said the motor is shot and I needed a new furnace. Clearly what he did didn't work. I will not use him for the new furnace nor do I recommend his business.

I had a problem with my propane furnace. John was very prompt to respond, checked out the furnace, and had to order some parts.
He came back and repaired it, and his prices were very reasonable. I will definitely use JMF Plumbing & Heating in the future !
I highly recommend them !

Stay clear unless you want to be ripped off! He charged me $250 to replace a pilot line on my furnace. He was here less than a half hour and the part probably cost all of $20.

Good work, but very overpriced. Charged over $800 to install a $150 part that took less than hour. I should have paid the service fee and got someone else. I probably would have saved $300. On top of that, I found out later there was a $25 coupon on the website he could have told me about. Would not recommend. #20/20 Hindsite

John Faber helped me out a year ago when I first moved into my home, helping to get our central air up and running by replacing a transformer. He seemed quick to respond to our call, and helped us trouble-shoot some other issues as well, even responding to a few of our emails with detailed info. We were left with a good impression of him and his work.

A year later, I cannot get in touch with Mr. Faber. We called him for a similar central air issue, and he has not returned our calls or messages. I understand that contractors are often busy, sometimes working large, time-consuming jobs. But the common courtesy of a return call should never be too much to ask, at least within a few days turn-around time. Where my original rating would have been 4 stars, I unfortunately must downgrade to 2 stars as it is difficult to give a business a good rating if they refuse to answer the phone.

Our furnace simply stopped working sometime last night. John from JMF Plumbing and Heating was very recommended. Being the day before Thanksgiving... impossible to get some one. I called his number, left a message and within minutes he returned my call and was at our home within an hour.

It took John only a short time to figure out what the problem was and NOOO, we didn't need a new furnace! John is honest and did an amazing job. Will be calling him back this spring for some other jobs around the house.

If you are in his area... Call JMF. Period!

Super pleased with JMF Plumbing and Heating! My dog decided to eat the wiring to one of my air conditioning units. John patched everything up and made sure all units were in working order in less than an hour! I called him on Wednesday and he was over on Thursday. Will be using him for all of my future plumbing and heating needs.

I need to state this in NO uncertain terms. If you live in northern NJ and have any plumbing needs, you'd be a damned FOOL to use anyone other than John at JMF. He's young and energetic and is truly a man of his word. John installed a new furnace for me today and did an OUTSTANDING job! He even submitted for a rebate that I was entitled to for me. I don't know why he's not listed as a preferred contractor on HomeAdvisor.com, but he should be. I even had two plumbing issues that I didn't even tell him about and when I got home today, both were fixed! I'll say it again, you'll never meet a better and more honest and reputable plumber than John at JMF!
