John Barrera, his team of men and his subcontractors are capable of doing any type of plumbing or construction work necessary to repair or improve one's home. John and all his people were professional and courteous while doing their work. They started promptly on the days and at the times agreed to in advance. The quality of their work was excellent with great attention to detail--we watched carefully! All of these attributes and qualities are provided at a fair price, based on our post-completion time-and-materials analyses of the three rounds of work they did for us. We look forward to working with John and his team to maintain and further improve our home as the need arises.

If you want to consider the scope of what JMB Plumbing & Construction has done us so far, please read on:

Round 1 consisted of copper repiping our entire home; replacing the water heater; replacing the plumbing fixtures in all sinks, bathtubs and showers; replacing the bathroom exhaust fans; replacing molded caulking in the showers; re-caulking the kitchen sink; repairing water damage under the kitchen sink, replacing bowed shelves in the kitchen cabinets and the pantry closet; replacing sink drains, repairing incorrect electrical wiring; and replacing the HVAC ducts in attic.

Round 2 consisted of replacing the carpet and vinyl flooring in the master bedroom suite with waterproof laminate; replacing bowed shelving and dowel rods in the bedroom closets; replacing the kitchen vinyl flooring with ceramic tile; replacing broken window blinds; and repairing a broken kitchen drawer.

Round 3 consisted of installing a new heating and air conditioning system (previously had no A/C); installing grab bars in showers; installing ceiling lighting in three bedrooms; and painting the entire interior of the home.

J&B, plumbing and construction installed a soft water system in my home. There knowledge of how to install the system properly and have regular water going to plants and other areas of my home rather than soft water everywhere. Company was extremely knowledgeable. The work was also excellent and the crew worked late to finish the work. I would highly recommend this company as they are great value for what they charge and the quality work they produce.

We used John and his company to completely re do all the plumbing in our new house. We took out most of the kitchen and moved the oven. , the refrigerator and the washer and dryer. John ran all new lines for us and did such a professional job. He also I installed all new faucets / drains& toilets in the bathrooms. Everything he did was top notch workmanship. Not only that he is such a nice guy. Easy to talk to and easy to explain to him what you want. He understood our budget restraints and worked within them. We really liked working with John & would highly recommend him.

Unprofessional would not give estimate of toilet,would not itemized the charge dispite repeated request was told quote"" you'll be happy with this toilet "".inflated work time to 6 hrs for installation of toilet in the bathroom hole on the floor!

Major communication issues. What a waste of time. I initiated a request to add a straightforward gas line for laundry hook up 3 weeks ago and then come the week of installation, they ghosted me. Text/voicemail all ignored. I've been very patient, but they seem unable to manage their time and commitments so it doesn't even matter if they are technically competent. Avoid.

Water heater went out on a Sunday and was super stressed out probably having to take Monday off to deal with it. Nope had someone come out and talk to me Sunday went to work Monday and got home from work and I have hot water. Very personable and felt very confident and comfortable with going to work while they replaced my water heater. I could not have been happier in this situation. No trace they were here except for our new water heater.

I would give a zero. I called on a Wednesday (answering service) and was told someone would call me back. Heard nothing. Friday I called again and they were apologetic and said they'd have someone call right away (btw..apparently it's all recorded on their answering service). As of Saturday...still no call back

Jmb does quality work! I started with a horizontal replumb several years ago and was so impressed with their work, I recently used jmb for my kitchen remodel. I have an older home and soon discovered my small kitchen counter replacement turned into a major fix of corroded pipes and hidden electrical outlets with loose wires. John coordinated the job in a timely manner and called in quality professionals to get the job done right. John has an eye for design and helped me develop a look to my kitchen that makes me smile every time I enter it. I highly recommend his work and I will use jmb for my bathroom remodel.

So they work was great! They guys who worked were courteous and friendly. So why the 2 stars? When called for a quote, the owner said it was $97/hour for first time customers. He sent 2 workers to do the job and at the end he said it was $97/hour/man!!! AND HE EXPECTED US TO KNOW THAT!!! At the end he charged us for 1 worker, but buyer beware! When you ask for a quote, make sure it includes the # of workers!!
