Long story short, I had the same experience like a few others on here, Jorge disappeared and never completed a job I hired and PAID him for. Do yourself a favor and find another handyman, preferably one that's reliable and responsive.

READ ALL REVIEWS especially the negative ones. Had I known his disappearance from jobs was a PATTERN, I would have went with someone else.

We didn't even negotiate a price (he did good work for us previously) we took his price and decided to go with him. Gave him a check up front $900 9/7/2918. For him to start the project on 9/14/2018. He came did half the job cashed the check and HAS NOT RETURNED!

No phone call, not returning emails NOTHING!

Jorge I know you will see this. Have no idea how you sleep at night. We trusted you to come in our house and support you and your new family with giving you our business.

If you needed the money and more time you could call were reasonable. To take our money and disappear is ridiculous!

I want to give Five stars MORE if i can. First of all, I really needed to help very urgently. Actually i called another guy for the first time to assemble and install for my new IKEA kitchen wall cabinets. They didn't know how to do job. I wasted whole my day and money. But i had to finish up today so i have massaged to him around 7pm. and he got my home around 8pm. Isn't it amazing ? In Newyork city for real? And he is also very professional. He knows exactly how to deal with this stuff like structure of furniture and care very precisely . also very kind and friendly. He nicely done just for 2 hours. I will definitely call him later if i need a help. Thank you Jorge !!!

I got an estimate from Jorge for some basement work in early April based on his good reviews. He seemed like a nice guy, explained everything and we signed the contract. Estimated time of completion = 2 weeks. I paid him the first installment and he started right away. He worked consistently for a few days. But then the absences began - he kept me apprised at first but then he just wouldn't show up for days.

It has been more than 3 months and he's still not completed the basement. I've given him a $1000 advance for another project and he has not shown up for work since. He also has $500 worth of my stuff from Ikea that he picked up but never delivered.

To be fair, he did mention that he had a personal task to attend to but that was in late June and I've not heard from him since. The most frustrating part is not responding to calls and messages (I have all logs). I've explained to him several times the urgency of finishing this work but he seems to have ignored it so far. Very unprofessional!!

FIVE STAR SERVICE! Do not hesitate hiring this man. Jorge was prompt, very neat in his work, and went over and above what we asked for. He asked him to hang two large TVs and a soundbar. My wife came in the room and wanted a slight adjustment. Without hesitation, Jorge made it. He even snaked our wires through the wall. Aside from doing great work, he was incredibly friendly and funny. He also cleaned up and kept a tidy work area.

I am sorry to have to update my review. Not sure if my first review led to Jorge becoming so busy that he no longer returns calls or texts. After many attempts he finally got back to me and I gave him a list of the many things I needed done in my house. Jorge requested a detailed list from me and we scheduled a date for the work to commence. Two days prior, I received a text from Jorge that he was injured and could not start the job. I was very understanding and told him to keep me in the loop as to when he will be working again. I have texted him and called several times leaving messages for him. Unfortunately, it has been 2 weeks and I have not received a text or a phone call back as to what his current status is. Not the way I expect to be treated- especially after my first glowing review.

I requested a quote not thinking that Jorge would not only respond so quickly, but be able to come over and fix my light switch this evening! Very quick, but thorough. Will definitely be using his services again!

This is a late post, but we looked around for different handymen to come install a dish washer into our kitchen. We got over 4 quotes with Jorge being the only one who came over to look prior to giving us a quote. Noted he wasnt the cheapest quote, but we appreciated that he came and saw what he had to do so we wouldn't have any unforseen costs. It wasn't your normal simple dishwasher installation. We had to redo our cabinetry to fit the dishwasher. Basically he cut our cabinets in half and put them back together to fit the dishwasher. He also installed our new sink, which he has to cut through our countertop and then make a new piece to fit the new sink and move it over to the right with our new faucet. It was quoted as a two day job, but it took him 2.5 days. He came back two days later time finish. There were a lot of unforseen issues especially with our old apt pipes. But Jorge took care of all that as stated before because he came and looked he prepared in case this would happen. Over all he was very friendly, prompt and quick with communication. Glad to have a local handyman when we need it.
