Ramiro was really good at helping my father with his A/C. Just in time to beat the heat. Thank you Ramiro!

J&L Plumbing helped us replace our water heater when it was leaking and no longer provided hot water. They were very quick to get us on the schedule and then complete both the consultation and repair within a week's time. Paul was super helpful in explaining (in easy terms) what was happening with our unit and what to expect throughout the repair process. From speaking with scheduling all the way through to service, we are very pleased with the J&L Plumbing team!

Paul is a master of his craft. When he came to my house to look at my water heater, he quickly identified the issue and explained it to me (in simple terms) so that I could understand the root of the issue and what needed to be done to fix it. Paul was extremely knowledgeable and provided insight to ease my troubled mind. He then made his professional recommendations and helped me figure out the best solution for my family's needs. All this occurred at our first interaction.

Paul then came back to do the work later that week, as promised. Knowing my family was without hot water for the week, he did all he can to make sure we wouldn't go the weekend without the issue resolved. This isn't easy when it comes to dealing with insurance, getting the new heating system, etc. He installed a tankless water heater in my garage, per my request. He was extremely well mannered, professional, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. The end result was an extremely impressive installation!

A couple days after completing the work, he followed up with me to ensure that the water heater was functioning as expected and to answer any questions or concerns I had. Paul is honest and thorough in his job, and he made sure he was especially mindful of the details. I trust him and his work, and I have no doubt that he works on every project with his customers truly in heart and mind. Thanks, Paul and J&L Plumbing!

I had an issue with my garbage disposal and I put in a service request with my home warranty. They assigned J &L plumbing. Paul was the plumber that came to my house, he was prompt, clean and thorough with his work. He fixed my garbage disposal and even changed some old clamps that were looking like they would need to changed soon. Will definitely use them again if I need to.

Paul from J & L Plumbing was it this afternoon to repair our clogged bathroom sink. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He spend time explaining what was wrong in a manner that I could understand. He never spoke down to me. He also explained how I could prevent or minimize that type of clogging in the future. He also stabilized our sink which was coming off from the mounting. I would definitely recommend J & L Plumbing.

I wish I could provide less than one star. This company was assigned to me by my home warranty. Our air conditioning was making a weird noise and they didn't have any available appointments for several days. In the meantime, our AC broke. We called back to let them know and they wouldn't come out any sooner, so 2 days in Phoenix without AC. Once they finally came, they said that I could pay cash/retail for the work, totaling $700 and have my AC fixed that day. Or, if I went through the warranty company they couldn't fix it for several more days. I got my warranty company on the phone and they told J&L Plumbing that they would approve the work immediately so I could have my AC fixed same day. J&L refused to do the warranty paperwork to get the approval and said that the tech could only stay and complete the job if I paid retail. They are complete crooks and take advantage of people who they know really don't have another choice. We were desperate and needed AC so we paid retail. I've never dealt with a more corrupt office manager in my life. They do not have the customer's best interest in mind and I know plenty of other HONEST AC companies in the valley who would never do this.

J&L plumbing did an excellent job in replacing some fixtures which required some unique sourcing. Cody was great in completing an install which was complicated by tile counters which required some MacGyver handy work to make them work. Thanks for the effort.

Wow, I didn't know I got this company assigned again. Apparently it's been a few years and nothing has changed.

They evaluated a water heater and stated the electrician was needed. I explained I had already had an electrician, and that he informed me the water heater needed replacement. I consulted another plumber on the phone and explained. Then I called J&L back and let them know that now two professionals with over 60 years experience between them, had said it needs replacement. I requested a new service tech to come re-evaluate. Instead, Alex starts yelling and saying I will get the same tech bc that's his area. I had a 3rd plumber go, and he installed a new water heater- no electrical issues. I called JL back to ask if they can now send the warranty company information or come back out to state that they had in fact grossly misdiagnoses a 12 year old water heater. Instead, I got yelled at again and hung up, of course she told me have a great day as she hung up. I can not emphasize enough what a piece of crap this company is. They don't know what they're doing. Three other professionals called it, and It wasn't rocket science since it was a 12 year old water heater. But hey, they got their copay and clearly that's all that matters.

Used J & L for a leak repair (leak from washer hook up). Effective communication. The plumber was fast but not willing to answer additional questions about the situation. He used a device to detect moisture in the wall; had to ask about what it all meant. He just stated there was moisture and didn't elaborate.

Was assigned through warranty company so only paid the required service call so not sure what regular rates are.

Unfortunately, I did not do my homework before accepting J&L Plumbing as my assigned plumber by my Home Warranty. From reviews I read, J&L Plumbing appears to make it part of their business practice to include the term ""modify"" in their assessments on home warranty repairs. This allows them to gouge their customers by double charging for the same work. In my case, total payments for the leak repair to J&L Plumbing was $275 from the home warranty company AND $200 from me for the modification. The complete job was sliding on a new no hub coupler ($275) and adding a ~1 foot of PVC pipe, the black section in the after photo, to move the joint higher for the ""modification"" ($200). Time to complete the work was less than 15 min, the plumber was in and out in less than 30 min including time for the PVC joint to cure and test for leaks. $475 for 30 min.

I did accept the job after the initial assessment, despite my concern about the modification charge, as the home warranty said I could not change service providers once the initial assessment was completed. I have no interest in doing business with a company that makes gouging their customers a standard practice. I will not be using J&L Plumbing again.
