The owner installed my hot water tank a couple years ago. Didn't give me prices before or options just showed up with a tank. A year later the pilot wouldn't stay on so I called them. I informed him he installed the tank and he was happy to come look at it the next day. He was in my home for maybe 6 minutes. Told me all he had to do was brush off a sensor. He charged me $200. He did not warn me of the minimum during our call or anytime before that.

James (owner of JJ and Sons plumbing) is very negligent at his work. I had him do all new plumbing in my rehab home from a fire. He even placed my acrylic tub. I asked him if the floor was ok and is he sure nothing needs to be added to the floor before you install this acrylic tub? He reassured me everything is perfect. Well after everything was said and done including the tile work it was proven by the cracking and the popping sounds and the poor grout lines and the extreme pitch in the tub the tub was in fact installed wrong. Even the Kohler rep who came out to the house wrote a letter stating the tub was installed wrong. We took a oath in court to tell the truth so help us God. James (owner) lied terribly. He told me everything went perfect placing my tub and nothing more needs to be done, and he lied in court to the magistrate terribly. She believed him. Now I am left with a bath tub that will end up cracking and the warranty is void. Do not think twice about hiring him because of the good reviews. It's possible you could be a job like mine where the final outcome is a disgrace to say the least! There are other plumbers out there. Pick one with 0 bad reviews. You will Thank Me!

Jim did a great job for us installing appropriate plumbing and all fixtures in a recent bathroom reno, including pedestal sink, toilet, bathtub & shower fixtures. Arrived on time and everything was completed in a timely manner. Had a leak in toilet a few months later and response was quick and efficient. Jim fixed it in no time and at no charge. Still under warranty. Very efficient, dependable, and honest. Reasonable rates. Would highly recommend!

Originally contacted JJ and Sons because of their high rating and the number of positive reviews.

Unfortunately my experience was the opposite.

Jim did get back to me same day and made it out that week to give me an estimate on 2 jobs (adding a sink to a bar in my basement adding a bathroom in the basement). I followed up with Jim the next day to confirm I wanted the bar sink only (budget and timing reasons). He said that was fine and they could be out the next Saturday morning (9 days after estimate). Saturday morning come and goes and Jim and crew are nowhere to be found. NOT ONLY DID THEY NEVER SHOW FOR THE APPOINTMENT MADE OVER A WEEK IN ADVANCE. JIM IGNORES CALLS AND TXTS THE DAY OF THE JOB AND STILL HAS NEVER GOTTEN BACK TO ME.

I understand things happen and plans can change. That is not what this is. Jim and his company committed to a job and completely blew it off and blew me off as a customer even after I followed up several times.

Apparently these guys missed business ethics class. Your customers are the only reason you're in business. Treat customers like this long enough and you will go out of business. I would never refer anyone to you. In fact I'll go out of my way to steer others away from your sub-par cut rate company.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CONTACTING THIS PLACE. THEY WILL SCHEDULE SOMETHING A WEEK OUT AND NEVER SHOW.

These guys are the best! I was having a clogged bathtub drain problem that I couldn't get fixed using the normal things. I called JJ & Sons and they were here within 2 hours. Ironically, by the time they got here, the tub had started draining again. They looked at it, assured me that everything was fine and charged nothing for their time. They will always be my go to guys for plumbing from now on!

Replaced a water back-up sump pump. They worked with me on the price, showed up on time, and did a professional job. They also provided a nice brief education on the new pump, how to maintain, and possible ""What Ifs"" in case of future problems.
