The address listed above on Winkle Ave is not this plumber's address. This address is all over the internet, so I sent a check there after they invoiced a neighbor--we agreed to share costs--and they did not get the check and were upset. I have had to stop the check and will be sending a new one to a PO Box Jimmie Smith gave me over the phone. I recommend they edit the address on this page and elsewhere.

I'm not evaluating their work as I was not involved in hiring them or checking their work.

Inconsiderate lack of customer service. Technician did not return calls when he said he was going to return calls. Did not show up for appointment and we had to call the office to find out where the technician was. Technician did NOT give a courtesy call to let us know he was going to be late. Then expected us to wait around for him all day without giving a an alternate service time. So disappointed! All the technician could say was that he was sorry. This is not the service that we've had with them in the past.

Jimmy Smith plumbing came out to fix a broken ice maker shut off valve. He quickly diagnosed what he needed to do and was able to fix it for under $200. We had a quote from a local ""expert"" plumber at over $900 for the same job. Jimmy Smith will be our plumber from here out

Herb Smith (owner of Jimmie Smith plumbing) was both professional and friendly. I will certainly call him again the next time we have a plumbing problem.

Jimmie Smith came out to roto-rooter our house drainage because water was backing up in a shower. He snaked out the main drainage and charged $222.50. Which was 1.5 hours labor @ 202.50 and $20 for equipment. Within 2 days the water was backing up again. We tried using the turbo plunger to push the water, yet it drained really slowly. Finally, at 2 weeks after his first visit he was called again. The plumbing should have been fixed for a year, at least, but just in case I left the tenant with $100 to pay Jimmie for resnaking. When Jimmie arrived, the tenant told him he only had $100 for all repairs. Jimmie went into the house and tried snaking through some internal pipes. He made up a story about why that wouldn't work, even though it has worked in the past. Then Jimmie called another worker to come help him. Jimmie sat in his truck smoking while another guy dug a hole in the front yard. Then Jimmie left for another job, returning 2 hours later to a big hole in the ground. He drilled a 2"" X 2"" hole in the cement pipe and snaked out the plumbing to the street. At this point, no one had given him permission to do this work and he never gave anyone an estimate of the cost. After doing this work he gave the tenant an invoice for $1500, which the tenant refused to accept. Jimmie left a big hole in the ground and a hole in the pipe, covered with a piece of plywood.
Not knowing what to do we called another plumber to repair this hole in the pipe. I just learned that 3 feet of the pipe needs to be dug up and that section replaced in order to repair this hole. The cost is $1100. We also learned that it's illegal to dig without first calling another company to locate the gas lines.
Basically, Jimmie never gave anyone an estimate for work, he performed work illegally without permission, endangered everyone because he did not locate the gas lines before digging, and left us with a situation that will cost $1100 to repair. He did snake out the plumbing which was what he was supposed to do in the first place. At least our water drains now.

Our hot water heate leaked and flooded our garage on a Saturday afternoon. Jimmi came out after a funeral that day to check on the heater. As we expected, it was not fixable. His quote for a 50 gallon heater, including instillation and removal of the old heater was less than a 40 gallon heater from Home Depot which we would have had to wait 3 to 4 days for.
Friendly, prompt, neat. We could not recommended them higher.

Ron from Jimmie Smith Plumbing called right at 8 (I had called the night before, a Sunday, and said the next morning was OK) and asked me a few questions, said he needed to stop for parts on the way and was at my house by 8:45. He had exactly what he needed on the truck, had my hot water tank fixed, and was rolling down the driveway by just past 9. I'd say that's pretty damned good

ABSOLUTE RIPOFFS!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Wish I had seen Yelp reviews first. Would give them 0 stars, if possible. Ron came over the first day, went under our house for 15 minutes and said he couldn't replace the pipe alone. Nothing was done, but we were charged for one hour of work. RIDICULOUS!! The next day he came back with another worker who did the job by himself, after spending an hour locating the leak. By the way, a week earlier, a pest inspector found the leak within 15 minutes. We were charged 2 1/2 hours for each person, although Ron basically didn't do much at all. Total bill came to $1,000. A good plumber can do this type of fix alone in an 1 1/2. Also, it was requested that a heating duct be reset (it was sagging). A week later, pest inspector came to review that the work had been completed. He noticed that the heating duct work was not done. When I called JS to ask them to come back and complete the job, the response was a bunch of excuses why they were not going to: ""we don't work on heating ducts"", ""too tight to work under the home"", etc. FOLKS, DO NOT USE THIS SCAM BUSINESS (oops...a supposed ""business"").

The plumber reeked of cigarette smoke which stunk up my house, he tracked mud all over my kitchen, and got the sink really dirty too. I do not recommend them!!!!
