Owning Jim Wagner Plumbing, Inc. is not just a job for me; it’s my passion. I grew up in plumbing and am immersed in it every day. I employ plumbers who are equally enthusiastic about their work. We love what we do and don’t see it as work; it’s a vocation for us. We think of our business as a close-knit family. I often find myself reminding everyone that it’s time to wrap up for the day. We all share the mindset of treating your home or business as if it were our own. If you seek a temporary solution or the lowest-priced products, we might not be the best fit for your plumbing needs. We consider ourselves to be solution providers.

Dave M.Horrible. Will never use again. Called and asked if they could replace a watchdog back up sub pump that I had already bought. They said sure. They send Brian. Brian then proceeds to try and convince us that we need to spend $5400 for a sub pump overhaul. When we told him that we would never consider that, and all we needed was for him to replace the watchdog unit I had already bought, he said that he was not allowed to install their products. When we told him that his home office said they could, he grudgingly said he would write up an estimate. The estimate was almost $600. Laughable for a 30 minute job. This place is a pushy, unethical, hard sell place. Found another plumber that said he would do it for $170.
I was very dissatisfied with this outfit. Called them for an estimate on my 75 gal Bradford White. Ryan showed up right away and took 5 minutes to tell me it was dead and not with repairing. Told me it was too old to be under warranty and I should just replace it for $3100. Ryan said he had an ""app"" and typed in the serial number which told him it was out of warranty. Charged me $39.00 for five minutes and a $3100. Estimate. Called Bradford White my self and learned water heater Had another 9 months warranty, said they would cover parts not labor. I called Jim Wagner again and told them about warranty, girl in office said I could be misleading them, therefore, she would need to check it out. This is after Ryan said he ran the serial number in his ""app"". I gave her the serial and she confirmed I was truthful. Ryan phoned me and said he punch in serial number incorrectly and that the cost to repair would be between $400. And $500., I asked him the hourly rate, and he said Jim Wagner does not have hourly rate, just a flat fee. I call another company and finished the job for $245.00, hot water in 30 minutes. Jim Wagner, only Doctors charge 400 -500 per hour!
Called asking for diagnose of leak source in our master bath. Plumber, looked at water damage on the ceiling in our dining room, and found the toilet was loose. He removed and reinstalled the toilet. He said the subfloor was saturated, and that there was a 50/50 chance the repair work he was doing wouldn't hold if the floor warped when it was eventually dried.
Charged $330 for toilet reinstall (a 50% chance at a solution). Never performed the leak diagnostic service that was requested (IE checking the shower/tub/toilet to determine if 1/2/all were leaking). When asked if it was possible the shower was leaking, he said it was likely the shower was leaking given the age of the bathroom and we should have it looked at.
Would not use again. Would not recommend for future use.
Ray C.Very pleased! I'm pretty good at DIY but not so much when it comes to plumbing. I tried to replace the internal hose line on my kitchen faucet sprayer over the weekend and made it worse. I realized I needed to replace the entire faucet and looked at the previous install. Not something I wanted to jack with. On Monday I called Wagner Plumbing (thanks to our subdivision magazine) and they had someone out in an hour. They were very nice and professional and had it replaced in an hour. They even checked all the pipes underneath as a precaution and found something that needed tightened. The amount charged was appropriate for what they did and I'll be happy to use them again in the future. Thanks!
Called and fixed an appointment for a leaky shower stall. When I called and explained the problem, the dispatcher noted the problem and promised to send a plumber to diagnose and fix it. The guy came on time, but didn't take him even 30 seconds to say that it wasn't a plumbing issue but a grout problem and something that they don't do. Charged me $39.95 for the 30 second meeting. WOW! Could have easily told me that for a grout issue they weren't the guys. Waste of money and a bit unscrupulous if you ask me.
Jim M.Almost 1 year later - Another plumbing emergency and I didn't hesitate to call these guys. This time my ejector pit decided it no longer wanted to eject. Had the good fortune of getting Greg again to replace this pump. Same day service and a quality install! Wagner is definitely my goto plumber! Keep up the great service and please give Greg a pat on the back for me.
Jennifer K.Contacted Jim Wagner Plumbing for a simple gas connection for a remodeled patio. The appointment window was from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The technician showed up at 4:30pm and STILL charged the 39.95 for the service call. The service call included telling me that he was going to charge 649$ for 2 hours work and 2 65$ parts. I don't mind the price as much as I mind waiting all day for a scheduled appointment.
Katie J.I know there are cheaper options for plumbing needs, but after purchasing our dream home we weren't about to skimp when it came to protecting our new home from water damage. We feel very confident in the quality of the new sump pump and backup system and check valves we purchased from Jim Wagner Plumbing, which after experiencing sump failures in our old home is a huge relief to us.
Ryan installed our new system and was very personable, professional and up front about all costs.
Eric D.Unbelievably expensive. Gave a 4 hour timeframe and refused to narrow it. So to start you have to wait all day for them to show up. Their service is clearly centered around what's best for them. Finally showed up for service charge of $40, then quoted over double every Plummer I talked to. They wanted $350 dollars to change a kitchen sink and I had to furnish all the materials?? When I balked at the price Plummer got upset was rude and left my house with my water and pipes disconnected. He said ""we will never do business with you again, we don't come out to only get a service charge."" The job was eventually done by someone else and took about one hour and cost $200 less. Horrible, horrible experience and terrible, terrible service.
Judy A.had to have some plumbing work done and was very happy with the service i recieved. they were very curtious and proffesional and was ble to solve the problem in no time.
