I agree with Mighty M's post. He came to my house and ""snaked"" the drain. I had to call a real plumber with a more powerful snake and cameras a week later, who pulled massive roots from my drain. I don't get why he didn't bring more powerful equipment. I was very clear about the problem on the phone. Very disappointed that I paid for nothing.

I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed. The plumber, name starting with a J, showed up on time. But, when he came to fix the pipe on the back of toilet that was leaking he only made it worse. He left after an hour. Told me to call a contractor. He said he was going to need to drill through the ceiling on the floor below. No, fix, made it worse, very disappointed. And a fat fee to top it off. All I wanted was my pipe to stop leaking. Thanks -Brad from Birmingham

I set up an appointment with Jim Petersen Plumbing for between 9am and 3pm. He never showed, never called, nothing. I have left numerous messages, but he still has not called me back. I am so disappointed, but I am finding many plumbing services with the same reliability.

He knows what he's talking about, brings the proper parts for repair and is quick and very efficient. His pricing is very fair. I highly recommend Jim Peterson Plumbing in Berkley.

I've been using Jim for plumbing issues at my rental house in Berkley for several years. He's responsive, does great work, and his prices are fair. Recently I called him about frozen pipes. I gladly would have paid him to come out and take care of them, but he just walked me through how to take care of them myself. Saved me time and money.

I took a day off of work to get some plumbing work done on my house. I scheduled an appointment with Jim Peterson Plumbing for 10:00. 10 rolls by, no call, no response. I call their number and get voicemail. I continue to call every half hour until about 2 hours later someone picks up and tells me he's not sure where the plumber is. A bit later I get a text message telling me they're busy and won't be able to make the appointment we set.
They made no effort to reach out to me proactively and inform me that they wouldn't be able to come by. And they did absolutely nothing to reimburse me after the fact.
I can't say anything about the quality of their work since they never showed up. But if you have a tight schedule and want a plumber that you can confidently trust to honor their appointments, I don't recommend going with these guys.

This is a guy is a complete joke.

He came to my house last week to 'snake' a floor drain in my basement.

He had a hand crank snake. The same shit you and I can buy at Home Depot. It looks like the fisher price 'my first plumbing kit'.

He pulled out maybe a few twigs. Maybe.

Two days later, my toilet backed up.

Called Levine and Sons. They came right out. With a HUGE snake kit. It had a camera on it and everything. It was like the NASA version. He pulled out basically a few a frickin tree from my drains.
It was AMAZING.


I tried calling Jim back to ask him wtf. He dodged my calls. It's been over a week, he still hasn't called me back.

The guy is a joke.

Levine and Sons and Jim Peterson charged the same price. And Jim didn't do shit with his weak ass snake.

Who would you call? Thank god for Levine and Sons!

Scheduled an appointment and company never showed up. After myself and wife called 30 minutes and then an hour after the scheduled arrival window, received a text saying ""called earlier a man said you didn't need us."" I'll make sure not to need this company's number in the future, hope others do the same.

I called last week to schedule service because I had one drain clogged, but I decided to have all the drains snaked out for maintenance. They called me back the same day and scheduled an appointment for the next day, between 3-4 pm. I left work early to get home just before 3:00. No one ever showed up and no one called. I gave them until 4:30 and then called them and left a message asking for an update. No one ever returned my call. Terrible customer service.
