We had Jim's guys come out and install a new shower valve and handle, as well as convert an S trap to a P trap and install our new bathroom sink in our 106 yr old house. We ran into some issues with their shower install the first time, as the pressure was really poor and there was a leaking stream behind the tub faucet on the tiled side of the wall when the shower diverter was lifted. We totally understand working with old plumbing can be tricky and human error can happen, but Jim was willing and ready to make it right and guarantee his company's work. He was able to have his guys come out two days later and they corrected it and fixed it up beautifully! Would definitely recommend Jim Miller Plumbing and they will stay in my contacts for future needs!

Truly they were so punctual and got our broken hot water heater fixed so quickly. Not only that but they looked at another problem for me while they were here and were able to get it fixed in 10 minute. Truly so grateful for this amazing company and employees!

Before you call Jim Miller Plumbing you should go to the bank and withdraw a bag full of money. This guy will bankrupt you. I have a blockage in my sink drain. It took him 14 hours to respond to the call. He was at my house 10 minutes and charge me $125.00. I would not recommend him to anyone including my enemies.

I'd give zero stars if I could.

We had Jim Miller come in and do a water heater last year. He had a kid come in and replace the water heater. The kid that replaced the water heater stated their was not enough space to take out the water heater and ended up taking out a wall. When he finished knocking out the wall, he said there was still not enough room and had to take out ANOTHER wall. So two walls totally torn out and a huge mess left, we had a new water heater that worked and a hell of a lot of wall repair to do.

Flash forward one year and two weeks. The water heater started leaking from the cold supply. I asked Jim to come and fix it and figured it would be covered by their warranty. It wasn't they charged me $150 to ""fix it""

Less than two weeks later it is leaking again. Jim is claiming it's not warranted and is a bad hose. They didn't replace the hose, even though the plummer Jim sent to the house said they don't use those hoses and stated at that time that is was likely the hose.

Jim is claiming that the work is still not warranted (from two weeks ago.) His guy should have replaced the hose to fix the leak. He's refusing to come fix the leak. It's fine, I can go downstairs and replace the hose myself. I'm just not entirely comfortable down there since my son died down there. This is why I paid him to fix it in the first place.

The real issue is I shouldn't have too and also every time I've replaced a water heater, I've been told to also replace the hoses. Or if it was leaking he could have replaced the hose and fixed the leak.

Bottom line: I recommend anyone else in addition to looking up how to fix it on Youtube and just doing the work yourself.

Mind-blowing incompetent and irresponsible plumber.

What pushed us over the edge is this latest issue which we noticed TODAY, 6 MONTHS after their work which has already created 13 issues. Specifically, when our water softener purges and regenerates, the exit drain is higher than the back-up catch-pan of the water heater, creating a backwash in the catch-pan and leading to corrosion of the water heater.

Read the complaint letter I sent to BBB, which they never responded.

1. They did not follow our engineering stamped drawing. Plumbing was supposed to ran through a half wall which our general contract (GC) has already built specifically to accommodate the plumbing. Instead, they ran through the floor. Although the City signed off on that, we were very displeased because we would probably not build the half wall (which we designed because the previous plumber who later bailed due to workload was concerned that the tub drain is too far to create enough flow).

2. Our job is ""a pity little job"" for them. Specifically, they did not come back promptly to finish the plumbing of shower and sink. Our GC told us JM himself said he had another bigger job and he was not going to come back just for a ""pity little job"".

3. JM could not put together two pipes with rubber gasket. Our shower pipes need to be pushed in together along a rubber gasket. JM demonstrated to me how it would not fit. I had to contact the retailer to seek replacement. Later, my husband and I, upon second thought, decided to give it another try. It turns out that they just needed to be pushed hard enough to fit. This caused us a delay.

4. JM could not offer a solution while we the amateurs played the plumber and found a solution the next day in Home Depot. Specifically, the pipe reducer of the shower has defective threads. It was an odd European Z-shaped connector. He said he could not come up with a solution while we found two reducers that can be put together to replace this one defective piece. This was big major stress. We were on a tight schedule and I had to call the online retailer again for a replacement. It was going to push our schedule back a week or so. Ironically, I, a non-STEM and least handy person in this world, thought of this solution. This caused us a big delay, because they could not come back soon after we found the solution.

5. They failed to route the condensation line of the water heater into the general drainage. Instead, they directed into the pan sitting beneath the water heater which already started to corrode. The manufacturer's drawing and verbiage state clearly not to do so.

6. Then they also skipped routing the brine tank overflow all together, which again if it overflowed and it was missing would have caused a massive water leak and associated damage. Not okay since our water heater is on the 3rd floor.

7. JM's staff installed toilet seat off center. I asked them to fix it. They said it comes that way. We later fixed it.

8. JM's staff did not remove the plastic cover of toilet seat hinges. I asked them to take that off. They said it comes that way. We later fixed it.

9. JM's staff could not find the toilet push button which came within the tank.

10. JM's staff could not find the overflow drain of our vanity sinks which are aesthetically designed not to be obvious but still at the exact same spot as any other vanities. I called the retailer again out of my last ounce of respect towards their judgment.

11. JM did not program the water softener, which we found out at a far later date.

12. The drain of our tub started leaking a couple weeks later. They came back and fixed it.

13. They did not use larger diameter lines running water to our vanity causing slow water flow (and we have already taken out the flow constrictors). Now everything is tiled and is nearly impossible to access.

In short, JM fail at every stop of the project and every time they showed up to service. I was on summer break at home and every time it felt like a heart attack. We were on a very tight schedule finishing this before our wedding and three guests' arrival.

I have never seen this level of professional asininity in my life.

Jim Miller Plumbing did the plumbing in our home when it was constructed 12 years ago. Installed pipes above an unheated/open screen porch (poor judgment for a ""professional"") which have frozen and resulted in major water damage twice in the history of the home.

Also installed a ""condensating furnace"" in an unheated attic . . . poor judgment #2 . . . also resulting in water damage to the second floor.

Doesn't return phone calls regarding the negligent installation and hopes this problem will go away . . . his third case of poor judgement. Hope he has sufficient general liability insurance!
