3 weeks after moving in, an overnight sewage backup formed in the basement. At the same time, the kitchen sink would barely drain and was backing up into the other sink. Plumbing nightmare. I called Jim Dhamer Plumbing and they sent 4 guys out same day. They quickly diagnosed the issue and extensively rodded both drains. They also located an old school small sewer under the driveway with a pump system, which they cleaned out as well. Shortly everything was working perfectly - good as new. Outstanding service and I appreciated the team taking the time to explain what was happening, why, and how to prevent this type of issue in old homes. Rust had accumulated in the pipes while not in use during a remodel, paper etc. got caught on the rust, and the prior owner apparently flushed wet wipes (which are technically ""flushable"" but a big no no in older homes). Chaos followed. very grateful for the incredible service, quick resolution, and fair price. Jim Dhamer Plumbing is my new ""go to"" and I would not hesitate to hire again.

I've used Jim Dhamer Plumbing for years now. Always top notch, reliable service. From new main shutoff valves, new garden spigots, and most recently some toilet ""tune ups"". And as long as I had them here, I also had check/fix a minor leak under the kitchen sink from when I had to disconnect/dislodge junk from the garbage disposal.

We've always received courteous service and reliable repairs and find the repairs to be worry free. That's priceless.

I had a water pressure issue and toilet flushing issue right at the same time as the January freeze - pretty sure it was not frozen pipes. My GC said to call Jim Dhamer plumbing as the do a lot of work in elmhurst. I went to their website and outlined what was going on and they called me right away. They scheduled the visit same day and Adam and Anthony called 15 minutes before arrival -right on time. They went to work with shoe covers on and figured out a simple tank part that fixed the flush issue. Sweet!! The sink faucet was a very old one and it was finished. Grateful they had 2faucets on the truck and I chose one and they were able to install. The total job was a fair and reasonable price. Adam looked at another faucet which is for the future job and said they could install one I picked up later. Great resource for my house and talented and trustworthy!

I just had Adam Dhamer replace my ejector pump, outstanding work and such a great service! He explained everything about the work he performed very well and he also provided advice concerning my sump pump with was very helpful. He and his assistant were very efficient and effective. They provided excellent customer service. I have used Dhamer Plumbing in the past to have the hot water heater replaced, they are now my go to plumbing company.

Horrible customer service at the office and scheduling. I specifically called expressing concern about multiple gurgling toilets in our recently purchased home (not even two weeks). We had called a plumber that morning who said they would not be able to help bc they couldn't go on the roof and suspended that it was a venting issue. I had called Jim Dhamer Plumbing bc the previous owners had been serviced with them. Monica or Candy then set up an appointment for later that same day. At no point during our conversation did they explain there would be a $159 hourly service charge, nor did they mention that their services do not include going up onto the roof to check for ventilation issues (possible cause to what we have wrong). Overall Tom who came out was very nice and knowledgeable. However, I will not EVER be calling this company again due to poor customer service/etiquette. It is obvious to both my husband and I that they were taking advantage of a vulnerable new home owner. Plenty of other companies will come out and diagnose for free. I'm a teacher in the community and will be sure to let all my district employees, friends, and neighbors know about this experience.

Always great work and they get it right the first time. Have to have drain cleaned out due to tree roots twice a year and they have been prompt and do an excellent job.
