I do NOT recommend using his company. They charged me $1500 to replace a kitchen facet - absolute high way robbery and unethical in so many levels. This was at my rental property during the holidays and I had no choice but to have them fix it. Just to be clear, I had to barter with them to get the price down to $1500.
In addition, they asked for payment BEFORE they started the project.
I originally picked this company because it had a 4 1/2 star review on google. Absolutely, never again.
Please, learn from my mistake and chose a different company.

Folks! When it comes to Plumbing - please call Jim Dandy! they are my go to guys going forward- they showed up in an hour 1/2 - from the call made( the technician drove one hour just to get to the plumbing issue at home) and gave us options and billing - courteous, professional- thought about what is best for us and we went with the best solution laid out, did the job and cleaned up the area before he left- 5 star is less to give them.

Hired to repair a specific 5 foot section of my sewer lines as preventitive measure. They replaced a part of that section and called it good. I have told them repeatedly that the did not dig up the right section and they say they did 5 feet and that's what I contracted for. That doesn't count when you don't do the right 5 feet. And they did not really even do 5 feet. I keep getting treated like I don't know what I'm talking about, when it's them not listening, they keep making assumptions that are not correct. I paid porportial to the work that they did complete. They are now liening me and threating foreclosure. The guy that did the bid no longer works there to be able to communicate what should have been done. Really regret hiring them! I hire lots of contractors for my occupation, and these have been worst I have dealt with. The work itself was not bad if they only would have done the work at the right location. I have asked them to complete job. They told me it would cost more. I asked them to come measure what they did to see its not right. I keep getting stone walled. Have no choice but to go to court as I will not pay for work I did not get.

Jim Dandy gave us an estimate for a broken sewer line. The estimate was very high but we needed the line fixed. IN the end it took them 3 hours with 2 people to fix the line and they wanted to charge $11,000 for that repair. IT has been impossible to speak with them as they don't get back to you. USE JIM DANDY AT YOUR OWN PERIL. THEY ARE RIP-OFF ARTISTS AND CON-MAN.

We hired Jim Dandy to replace our sewer lines in 2015 and in 2018. They completed the jobs and only over time we discovered that both times they were negligent.

In 2018 they replaced our clay sewer line with a new one. This summer we discovered a mysterious leak in our garage. We thought it came from the irrigation system but after calling Jim Dandy and speaking to 4 different plumbers with no result we had to hire American Leak Detection and consult other plumbing companies to get to the bottom of it.
Our preference was to work on this problem with JD, but after four visits of different crews we understood that they are very disorganized and incompetent. The plumbers that came out had no record of working with us in the past and they were very inexperienced.

Thanks to American leak Detection we discovered that during the pipe burst in 2018, Jim Dandy didn't connect our kitchen line to the sewer. That means our dishwasher and kitchen sink were emptying into the soil and finally leaked into the garage.
The lack of the kitchen tie-in was confirmed by three different independent plumbing companies.

When we showed the results to Jim Dandy, they didn't want to take any responsibility and had the nerve to quote us a new bid to fix the problem. They came up with some unbelievable excuses that didn't make any sense to us or the other plumbing companies that we hired.

Along the way we discovered that in 2015 when they replaced our first sewer line they didn't inspect the liner that connected our line to the city sewer line.

Overall most interactions we had with Jim Dandy this year were very painful. They are not professional, their service is poor and while most of their employees are very pleasant and polite they have no clue what they are doing.
Their negligence cost us $20K in repairs.

These guys are great. We had a pipe bursting procedure where they replaced an old root-invaded pipe that was backing up too often. Cali at their office and Chris their In-The-Field Manager are both awesome!!

This review is for Scott Spencer, the owner. who I worked with for over 3 years. Scott was my manager back then and overall he was fine. But we came to an impasse one day over what it meant to do side work. I had a buddy who just went through a costly divorce and I took a couple weeks off to help him fix up his place so he could sell it and get a fresh start. I was also doing boiler/mechanical work which wasn't even a service my employer provided. Anyway.... one day Scott showed up at my buddies house, and without any evidence of any kind Scott accused me of ""stealing"". He specifically alleged to my direct supervisor who came with him ""he is probably stealing parts from our truck"", This controversy was about side work, but Scott took an enormous leap and accused me of something that was far more serious, and was untrue all together :(

I was harmed by Scotts defamatory statements, and I had to leave the company because there was no way I could recover my reputation after the false things that he said. This was painful for me at the time, but now things are different. After I left that place I went back to school, was awarded a full scholarship and graduated with honors. I later became enormously successful in my own career that I love. I became so successful that I recently got to take 3 months off and go on tour with my son. My kid and I made national news headlines during our adventure. I must say things are pretty great now and I wouldn't change a thing......

As I spent all summer cycling across the US with my son I had a lot of time to think. I've come to realize that if it wasn't for Scott I wouldn't be enjoying the place I'm in today. That fateful day that Scott came to my friends house change the course of my life and now I must admit that I'm thankful Scott erred the way that he did. Funny how life works out over time. Anyway here's your 5 star review Scott for changing my life for the better, even if you intended to do the opposite at the time :)

I'm about to start a major re-piping project on Mercer Island. When I talked to Jim Dandy Plumbing, they proudly told me that none of their employees are vaccinated. I have immunocomprimised persons here. These a$$holes will never set foot in my home. They are the reason we can't get rid of the pandemic. Do yourself and your community a favor and get rid of Jim Dandy Plumbing. Forever.

Morgan the technician came out did a great, had clogged bathtub. He had the solutions to fixed, he had the answer to get the job. He had a great attitude very polite any questions I had he answered and explain what he was doing. Jim Dandy pluming Morgan. Did great work.

Use them at your peril! Forget the fact that they rarely worked more than two days a week, or that they never worked weekends. Forget the fact that they never kept me informed about progress or when they'd be on site. Forget the fact that they are expensive and that I was without sewer for 6 weeks and without hot water for an additional 2 weeks after that. Forget the fact that they busted one of my hoses and have not reimbursed me even though they agreed to. The ONLY thing you need to remember is that they they aggressively try to collect for work they don't do. They did an estimate to open the floor, go into the crawl space, jack hammer and remove concrete from around sewer and reroute. After opening the floor they discovered they could not get a jackhammer in the space so they never did that work. The collection manager continues to aggressively come after me even though the plumbing manager told him they did not do the work. Even though they told me they would give me a credit for the second half of the invoice since they admitted they never did the work. Now they are threatening a mechanics lien for work they did not do. It is worse than incompetence, it is dishonest.
