I need to leave a shout-out my man Jose from Bustos Plumbing. He has rescued my wife and I from plumbing disasters on several occasions, and always on the same day. He is extremely professional, skilled, and honest. I truly appreciate the quality of service from this company and recommend them to all I know in Alameda.

We cannot say enough good things about Jim Bustos Plumbing. We found them through a contractor we didn't end up working with--which was great because Jim Bustos Plumbing was all we needed. Robert was amazing: extremely skilled, helpful, professional and friendly. He installed our tankless water heater, replaced outdated pipes, fixed a dodgy drain, trouble-shooted a faucet problem and fixed a few weird plumbing jobs from past owners. The whole project was done on time and at the right price. We highly recommend Robert and Jim Bustos Plumbing and will be calling them again, should any issue arise.

Jose is such a skilled, reasonable and honest plumber! He has helped me deal with both my own home and my rental property, for emergency call outs, unexpected disasters and regular plumbing questions for ongoing issues. His advice is straight-forward and to the point. He is the best plumber I've had in 2 decades. Thank you so much Jose!

Our water heater starting leaking last night. I called Bustos Plumbing this morning and spoke to Jose. He was at our house within an hour to assess the situation. The water heater had a hole in it and it was old.
We had a new installed water heater by 11:30am. We are thrilled with the service we received. We kept it local and we're happy customers.

Based on what needed, clogged toilet. It is hard to get a recommended plumber on short notice. Some make non emergency appointments (we had another bathroom working) several days in advance. They asked me a few questions to diagnose, fitted me in between other jobs. Snaked the 30 feet of the line, were in and out in less than an hour with a reasonable charge. Told me to not dispose of dental floss in the toilet. We're neat and professional.

Jim Bustos Plumbing consistently provide me with reliable, professional on time
service. I have a large old Victorian in Alameda that has some challenging, very
old plumbing. These folks really know how to work with old systems in these big
old houses. Their timely response, and dedication to following through and getting the job done right is excellent.
I highly recommend the company.

This past week in the crawl space of my rental unit in Alameda I discovered a burst drain pipe with the resulting considerable standing water. I called Jim Bustos Plumbing about 10am of that morning and got a return call within the hour. That afternoon they were under the house surveying the situation and what was needed. First thing next morning they were back and by late morning had repaired the problem. I wouldn't think of calling any other plumbing service. Fortunately I've had only one other plumbing issue at the units and that was a few years ago and Bustos was ""Johnny on the spot"" then also.

Fast, friendly, and honest. As good as it gets. Robert was prompt and knowledgeable. We had a sudden leak under the house, which he identified and repaired by replacing a Y coupling in less than an hour. The rooter guys only want to sell me trenchless sewer lines for thousands of dollars, and apparently aren't interested in crawling around under my old house to fix a broken 101 year old cast iron pipe. Good job, Robert. Thank you.

This company was recommended by our realtor and they looked pretty good on Yelp. We had a positive experience with the first plumber Eric who hooked up our washer and dryer. However, we had terrible experiences the next two times we had them come over. The previous plumber was not available when we needed our touch kitchen faucet fixed and the second plumber who came was not very trustworthy. Not only did he not fix our faucet, he reinstalled the air gap (the ""emergency"" valve from the dishwasher in case it overflows) improperly so it leaked water onto our counter every time we ran the dishwasher. To add insult, he claimed there was a flat fee and tried to charge us more than the first plumber for less work. Luckily we had the old work order handy and he quickly changed the overcharge. After we found out the air gap kept leaking, we scheduled a third appointment with them and a third plumber came and fixed the air gap at no charge (although initially he tried to claim that it was broken-- we had to insist that we never had this problem before their plumber reinstalled it so it was their fault if the equipment is broken now; it was not broken and works fine now). He took a look at the kitchen faucet again and said that we had to order a new part for the touch feature to work properly and could not set it to just work manually. We didn't want to deal with the touch faucet anymore, bought a new kitchen faucet that we really like, and had a different company install it. This other company was efficient and knowledgable and our new faucet looks and works great. However, they also walked us through how to set the old touch faucet on manual bypass-- it took less than five minutes.
