Just received fantastic service from Alex at JIG Plumbing. My running toilet was making me crazy. Alex assessed the problem gave a price and made the necessary repairs. Alex was professional and very knowledgeable about plumbing issues, which was helpful for me. In addition, Alex gave me detailed information and estimates on replacing three older model toilets. The Service was very professional and the prices were reasonable.
JIG will be my go to plumbing company in the future. Thank you Alex.

JIG Plumbing is very responsive. John and his crew were sent out to descale tankless water heater. They arrived on time and cleaned up the area before they left. They were very professional and exceptionally helpful.

July 4th, my sewer clogged (toilet, kitchen were all clogged). I called JIG plumbing. John came and said he charged $360 (most expensive charge I ever heard of for simply using snake cleaning without blade)

I asked John what he would do. He said using snake WITHOUT blades through 2 inchs holes near my garage(because my house did not have clean out pipe). I told him that it would not work because I had other guy did the same 2 days before (I paid $189 for that company).

John said he could do from toilet hole but that cost more (around ~$500). I told him that I wanted to see camera this time to make sure it was cleaned through the street line. John said that cost more but then looked at his mobile device and told me that his company had discount and it costed total $618.00 to include camera for me to see + 14 days warrantee. We were both agreed.

John removed toilet and start using snake with 2 inches blade. that did not succeed since he could not push that through. After 10 minutes, he said he needed to do from the roof.

He started the cleaning from the roof for around 1-2 hr. He was cleaning while talking on his earbud. During cleaning I asked should I turn on water, he said NO.


I asked him for video or photo he said the monitor did not work so no photo, nothing. I asked how do I know it was clean or not. He said 90% clean. I saw some roots pulled out from the cleaning snake. He asked if I wanted to make clean out 4 inch pipe, it cost around $3,440 then he could use water jet to clean better. Even though camera monitor broke (as he said), he told me he could detect camera head on the grass and point to area close to the corner of garage where the sewer line was and said if he did the clean out pipe he would dig at that location. That was incorrect location.

2 days later on July 6th, the entire house got clogged again. I talked with my tenant and we decided not to call him again

1. We lost our confident entirely on JIG plumbing. We never seen anyone cleaning sewer line ENTIRE TIME WITHOUT WATER to flush the waste. I asked to turn on water during cleaning and he said NO.
2. We agreed for $618 in order to view camera to make sure it clean. There was NO video/photo as promissed for that amount. We trusted him so paid that amount. That cleaning lasted 2 days

We called another company made clean out pipe AND cleaning entirely for $1,700 (half price that JIG plumbing offer). The sewer line was actually around 4 ft away from where John showed me with his device (Did John know what he was doing with his device?)


I will never recommend JIG plumbing for anyone. I saved this company name just in case anyone that I know attempt to call them to avoid them

We were having a hard time trying to find someone locally who was knowledgeable in Navien tankless water heaters. We got a recommendation to call JIG Plumbing. Jason came out to our business within an hour. He was very knowledgeable on tankless water heaters. He did some troubleshooting and he also called Navien to confirm what the issues could be. We would highly recommend this company. We are a small business in Montclair and it is important for us to find knowledgeable and ethical companies to work with. Jason was professional and nice. He didn't try to upsell us or pressure us to have unnecessary work done. I will be recommending Jason and JIG Plumbing to everyone who needs a competent and reliable plumbing specialist.

JIG Plumbing did a professional job. Our waste disposal started leaking three days ago, turns out the unit was 19 yrs old based on the serial number and the unit was obsolete according to the service hotline. My home warranty approved a cash settlement without labor. When I submitted an online inquiry to JIG Plumbing, Jason called me on the phone the same day. After explaining my position of researching other plumbing contractors who charge a fee for estimation, Jason was able to send a plumber the next day with the part; that's impressive as I couldn't figure out what to buy based on what the hotline suggested and something about a small plumbing adjustment of less than an inch. Where do I begin to explain that to my husband or plumber? Taylor from JIG Plumbing arrived promptly the next day with a new waste disposal unit, gave me the price quote, and installed it within an hour. I was impressed and satisfied. Absolutely recommend! Jason was able to fit us in for same-day assistance. Turns out the issue had a fix that didn't require replacing the garbage disposal unit. Really appreciated that Jason explained everything and gave me some tips if the problem reoccurs!
