Very polite and were at my house within an hour and a half of calling. The drain from the house had to be cleared, it was definitely stopped up. They were here about 30-40 mins? And charged a total of $210.00

On 5/13 we bought our home.
On 5/17 we called J & G Plumbing due to a very slow drain on my son's shower. Two guys come in they were very polite and nice. Charged $175.00 to "fix" the issue. We did see much improvement but they said that because the house was built in 1985 that the pipes are in bad shape.
On 6/20 we called them again for the same issue that they had supposedly "fixed". Other 2 guys come in very polite and nice but charged us $100.00 for the call. I asked what was the problem this time he said there was a bunch of hair there. WAIT, my son is the only one using that bathroom. My son is 9 and we trim his hair at an 1/8 of an inch so that hair was the original issue that your company did "fix". This other guy said well no the problem is the your house is older so the pipes are bad. What does that have to do with the fact that the first 2 guys didn't remove the hair? I didn't want to argue so I paid them.
If you don't have a brand new house don't call them if you want the job done right.
Their lose is that we bought this 1985 home to update it and all 4 bathrooms need to be done BUT not by them.

Awesome service! Found them on yelp when a leak under our sink appeared. I called them on Friday at 11:30 and they were here by 2:15 that same day! Very efficient, quickly found the problem and fixed it, very personable. Very reasonable price.

My review maybe a little long but definitely worth reading..........
On 4/7/2016, both of my hot water heaters died and we had no hot water. I contacted 3 plumbers who came to my home that evening and provided me with estimates. I was extremely concerned about my ability to find a contractor that wasn't going to rip me off. I am definitely a prime target for contractor abuse since I am a widowed single parent (woman), completely ignorant about hot water heaters and completely at their mercy having no hot water and needing 2 new hot water heaters urgently. I had narrowed it down to one who I perceived as very knowledgeable and who also gave me the impression that he was extremely honest. After I decided on using his service, which was to start on 4/9/2016, I started reviewing the quote in more detail and there were some seriously questionable line items (separate charges) on the quote that made no sense. I contacted George and spoke with him on the morning of the 8th and explained my questions and concerns.
George and Neil came right out to my house and provided me with an estimate. All of the items that were written as separate and additional charges by the other plumber ($900) were included as a part of the standard installation.
I immediately cancelled the other plumbers services; which was not an easy task since he kept trying to win back my business by matching the price, cutting the price, etc. I told him I didn't care if he said he'd do it for free, I was not going to use his services!
George (J & G) not only installed Bradford White but the job was completed with high quality workmanship. George (J & G) wasn't even interested in looking at the other quotes, amounts, or the companies. I was beyond impressed by his high integrity and professionalism. He is definitely a "Master Plumber".
The job was scheduled for 4/9/2016. Not only were they early, but they were meticulous and the most polite and professional people I have ever worked with. They didn't just deliver the minimum requirements; they even re-plumbed the original configuration completed by the builders with the original equipment, since this change made my new units more efficient and ultimately last longer.
To merely state that J & G. Plumbing outclassed their competition would be a gross understatement. I am so impressed by the quality, integrity and professionalism of J & G Plumbing (George and Neal) that I would highly recommend them to everyone. I will even provide a verbal reference. I will never use another plumbing company in Houston. J & G Plumbing is Stellar!!!

Being new to Houston, I didn't know who to call to get a quote and plumbing service for our new office/yard in Spring. George was amazing (found him on Yelp). He made an appointment for when I would be in the area, followed up to confirm, showed up on time, gave me a quote the same day and did the work right after our new office (mobile office) was in place.

I do not typically write reviews but this time I am because I am so impressed with the good, old fashioned service.
