Jet Plumbing & Heating
Company Overview
Hello to our plumbing service. I’m Albert Yaunkunks, your plumbing expert since the late 70s. I handle fixing or replacing all types of plumbing fixtures. As a member of the Pro-Referral Program, that involves a background and security check. In my past, I served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, with a top-secret clearance. From minor leaks to renovations, I’m here to help. Cast iron plumbing is my specialty! I’m old school!
I have expertise in flush valves! I stock $1000 worth of flush valve supplies. I represent Bath & Bidet, offering the XLC-3000 at $1150 or the NB-R1063 for an additional $100. I’m certified to install American Standard walk-in tubs. I have a Washington Plumbing Certification since 1/17/96. Additionally, I hold Ward Flex Gas since 4/21/09. I’m certified in OSHA 10 Hazard Recognition on 2/16/14. Let’s discuss your next project. Contact me at 360-302-6861 or jetplumb1@gmail.com. Thanks for considering us.
Greetings, I opened my doors in March 2018. This has been my lifelong goal. I started plumbing in 1979, with three decades of knowledge. I got my initial training from my Dad at age 7 in 1967, as I learned to fill lead joints. I worked on over 10 engines before I started my plumbing career. That experience gave me a solid understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems. I truly enjoy working and serving my customers.
Hi, I’ve been in the field since the days when I earned only $1.60 an hour. I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge about mechanics before I started plumbing in 1979. With three decades of experience, I began with residential homes and expanded into custom jobs and finally large commercial projects (10-20 story buildings). My work ethic is solid!
I’ve served as a foreman on many projects for 20 years. My focus on mechanics helps me build or maintain anything. Unlike some plumbers, I can change my own oil—that’s not me! Thank you.

The value in having a talented, hard working, and incredibly nice plumber on speed dial is priceless. I am too mortified to say what happened to my downstairs plumbing, but it ruined my basement, and the stress was unbearable. This sounds like an exaggeration, but it's not. One phone call to Al at Jet Plumbing and my life began to turn around. He found the issue and fixed it. He's the real deal. I will call him again for plumbing services - and I recommend him to anyone looking for a plumber in Port Townsend, WA or anywhere in Jefferson County, WA, without reservation.

Had a failed sump pump and flooded crawl space. He came out on very short notice, replaced the pump and got me going. Excellent work and service orientated. Would use again!
Asked for an estimate to install a booster pump. Since we are plumbing clueless, our neighbor offered to come hear the recommendations for what we needed. He asked why something was needed, the guy blew up that if we knew so much, just do it ourselves and stormed off.
AL answered my contact request immediately. Within a few days of my asking him to do the work he provided me with detailed notes on my problem. He also texted with me back and forth as we settled on options and the final solution. This managed my expectations and I was able to purchase the hardware I wanted prior to the job.. When on site he worked diligently, kept me informed, and cleaned up. Problem solved. I witnessed and experienced his skill, ethical integrity and perseverance.
Had an unexpected issue with toilet. Al quoted the repair costs, was there within a couple hours. Was a bit more complicated than I told him, he fixed it, and stuck to his original quote. Great plumber, super customer service.
Albert was so fantastic to work with. My tenants loved him. He's no nonsense and old school. I've had other plumbers out before who did a quick fix but it didn't last. Albert immediately addressed the heart of the issue. I'm thrilled to finally find an expert who can deal with all my plumbing needs.
Chris M.I've had Al out 3 times and each time he was exceptional. The first time was to install a water shut off valve, the second was to install a PRV and lastly to replace the water valves for our washer & dryer. Each time he was responsive, fairly priced, and honest. He even replaced the W/D valves within an hour of us calling him (they began leaking). I strongly recommend him!
I was at first very impressed with Albert calling me back on Saturday night. He said he could fix the gushing tub faucet on Monday first thing, and I replied that I would move my work schedule that day to accommodate him.
Then he texted me at 6:30 on Sunday morning, and then arrived before I was awake. He did not call, which would have wakened me.
His text reply to my apologetic calls and texts was snotty, saying I was trying to ""jump in line.""
The fact is I would have been up at 4 am on Sunday if that is when he had said he would be there. He told me to expect him *Monday,* and now refuses to come, and blames me for his mistake.
We are so happy and relieved! He came out 3 days sooner than any other company. We had a terrible leak and no one but Jet's cared. He was right on time, friendly, and professional. We're only calling Jet's from now on. Thank you so much!
If I could give this gentleman a hundred stars I would! He fixed a DIY disaster under my kitchen sink. What started with a leaking faucet ended with PVC hot water line so old and brittle it snapped and the entire hot water tank was emptied onto my floor before I could get to the heater and turn off the water supply.
I call Jet P&H and left a brief message, Albert returned my call within a few minutes, made sure I had turned off the water & heat to the tank and set up an appointment for the next morning. Later he called back and said he had to pick up supplies at Home Depot and offered to bring a faucet with him in case he couldn't fix mine. I was so happy about this as the faucet was beyond repair and I hated the only suitable replacement I could find in town. Through pictures he sent me I was able to pick one I liked and he brought it with him! How's that for service?
Albert quickly explained what he was going to do and got to work. He installed new pipe and fittings under the sink and all went well until the old soap dispenser would not come out! The thing was solid metal and firmly rusted. After seeing him wrestling with it for a while I said it was okay to leave it but the new gear came with a soap dispenser and Albert was determined. So, after trying everything else he had to saw through it... from above, as there was no room underneath! The entire time he was super careful not to damage the sink. So an estimated job of two hours turned into three BUT Albert did not charge me for the hour it took to saw or the two blades he wore out! All is well now. Faucet and soap dispenser look and work great. To cap it all off, when he went to turn on the water to the water heater he noticed a ground wire that wasn't properly attached, grabbed a tool and fixed it! He gave me sound advice on a lot of things that need to be taken care of and he will be the one I call when I am ready to do some improvements.
