If you're looking to have the 'Operations Manager' Mr. Tommy show up in person at your house unannounced and provide a lecture on the subject of how to live your life because you were questioning being charged $155 per hour for 'road time' then this is the company to call.
Russ S.The plumber showed up, looked at my water heater for 30 seconds and said ""I recommend you replace it.""
Total cost $120 - for 30 seconds work. Totally unwilling to negotiate. I will never call them again nor would I recommend them to anyone.
Con artists.
Erin S.I am visiting my folks here in Reno and noticed the drain in the guest bathroom sink was not working. My mom called Jet from a referral given to her by a neighbor.
Edwardo came out and was the nicest guy! He was so polite and figured out the problem right away. My mom asked him about the leaking hose bibs out front and he took a look at those too. He came back with a very fair quote for that job and explained everything to her very clearly.
I was very impressed with his professionalism and custom service. I feel very comfortable having him come back to finish this job for her even if I am not here.
Fantastic service. I had a blockage in my kitchen sink. It needed to be snaked. Same day great service. In and out in less than 45 minutes. Checked and double checked that the blockage was cleared. Totally reasonably priced. Thanks Mel !
BEWARE!!! This company started out seeming ok but then things turned around real fast. We had an appointment for a Friday to have a water heater replaced and our pipes fixed. They said they would be here between 10 and 12. Its 1230pm and they were not here yet. I call them and they acknowledged that i had an appointment but there must have been a glitch in the system and my appointment got deleted somehow. The manager said that he can send someone on the Saturday but then i would be forced to pay the higher rates. I asked why i would have pay the higher rates when the company was the one that messed up. He said ""because its Saturday and those are just the rates"". He finally said ""well i will do Monday then and give you a 100 dollar discount"". Are you kidding me, i get a 100 dollar discount for your mistake and i go another 3 days with no hot water. This manager and the employees never apologized and were so rude. I ended up calling another company and told them what was going on. After hearing my story they said ""let me guess, it was Jet Plumbing"". That actually made me laugh and they felt bad for my situation right away. They came out on Saturday and charged me regular rates to help me out. Jet was going to charge at least 2,150 for the work. I ended up getting it done for about 1,200 with the new company. Saved a lot of money. Stay away from this company. Very rude and overpriced.
Glenn N.I called Jet plumbing for a leaky tube faucet in the main bedroom. The first plumber came to the house took the faucet apart and said he had to go back into ok town to pick up a part. I live 20 minutes from town and it took him a hour to return. Once he returned a d put the new part in the tube, it was still leaking. He stated he will have to send another plumber out and he might have to cut into the wall. He said it was no charge because he didn't fix the problem. Two days later the next plumber comes out does the same thing the first guy did, took it apart than when in town for a new part. He came back in a hour and fixed it right away. He told me the first guy didn't put it together the right way and that's why it didn't work. He told me they will bill me, both plumbers were in my house for less than a hours and the jacked the price of the part up by 15 dollars. Both plumbers put the part on switching my hot to cold and cold to hot and charging me for both the plumbers time. Worst service I have ever received, will never go back to Jet.
norma n.We had a garbage disposal that wasn't draining the water out properly. The dishwasher drained fine. After 3 months we decided we needed to get it fixed. We called Jet Plumbing and they were able to come out that afternoon. Jeff was just great. He used a rotor to clean out the lines. He was very neat...no water spills anywhere. They are also very reasonable. Now we wonder why we waited so long to call. I would definitely call them again whenever plumbing repairs are needed.
Hi guys, please read before you call.
Originally I had a service call on Monday the ninth to have them come out and look at my furnace which quit working. The technician by the name of Tim arrived Monday morning within their two hour window as expected and a courtesy call prior to their arrival which was also nice.
When Tim arrived I explain the situation about the furnace. He went to go look at the furnace, removed the panels and had noticed the reset button Had popped out. So he push the button back in and the furnace immediately started right up. The furnace ran for about five minutes and we had joked about how I felt like an ass that I had to pay $130 for him to come out and push a button. At that time I had also purchased a new thermostat that he kindly offered to put on the wall which I agree to. Thought it was a nice gesture. He unplug the furnace. He then put the thermostat on the wall, and then left five minutes after that. Total time he was at my house was literally 20 minutes. Shortly after he left, and I turn the furnace on to get the heat going, and the unit died within five minutes of use. Obviously I knew there was a problem however I had to go to work I didn't get off until after they were closed.
I called them on Tuesday the 10th and set another appointment up to have Tim come out again on Thursday the 12th.
Again on the 12th, A phone call was given to me before he came out and he showed up within the timeframe window as expected. When he arrived I had asked him to let the unit run for 10 minutes which he did and as expected the furnace died. He was now able to diagnose that I had a bad fan.
At this point, he let me know that they could fix it, the part was $120. This is where I asked specifically that they not gonna charge me the 130.00 again for coming out correct. Tim replied ""no we are not."" No timeframe was given on how long the job will take, and he had to leave for 40 minutes to run back to go get the part at the shop.
Tim did install the fan and within an one hour or less the job was done and he had left.
The following day I noticed on my bank statement I was charged labor and parts. I then called the office and spoke with Jessica about how I wasn't supposed to be charged any labor.
Jessica transfer me to the manager Al, And this is where I started to lose credibility with Jet plumbing.
Al proceeded to tell me that he spoke to Tim and that Tim had specifically told me it was a two hour job and they were going to charge me for one hour worth of labor. THAT IS NOT TRUE.
Tim never spoke to me about a time frame of how long the job would take, or that their would be a service labor charge. In fact I will reiterate, I specifically asked him when he came out on the 12th that they were not going to charge me and he looked me in the face and verified that they would not be charging me the hourly rate again.
When I called to dispute the additional hour labor charge with Al, he explain to me how lucky I was because that type of job normally takes 2 to 4 hours and how fortunate I was that Tim was able to do it in a timely matter. (Again, he installed a fan-4 bolts) Al clearly didn't want to hear my side of the story, and was taking's Tim word as the final decision maker. I definitely felt miss leaded, and recommend from anyone that you get it in writing from Tim before he does any work. Make sure you get it in writing before he starts the job and not after he's done so you don't have the same problems I have. I ended up paying $370 for $120 part, but apparently I should be lucky that they were able to install it within 2 hours. Based off the attitude from Al, he made sure I wouldn't use jet plumbing again.
it's unfortunate that when there's a discrepancy, they try to strong-arm the customer. There was no forgiveness, or an apology. Just that I was wrong and they were right! BUYER BEWARE when USING jet plumbing.
Vivian S.This company only cares about money, not their customers. They don't like you ask any questions on the bill and if you did, they will dislike you. And they charge you the time from they leaving office, so you're responsible for time cost them due to traffic jam. And they don't listen for your reason, and they don't admit their accounting error and accuse you for non-payment. We have given them so much business and we paid them each time. But they won't even trying to understand your point view, they are just simply very rude in dealing with their customer needs. Do not recommend them to anyone. Stay away from them because all they care is money, every minute of it, not you, no customer royalty. I'll give negative stars, they don't deserve any stars, but yelp forces me to chose a star
Jonathan F.I hired Jet Plumbing to help with a major kitchen remodel and to replace our underground master shut off valve. From the estimators to the actual plumbers, I was extremely impressed. Everyone was friendly, highly knowledgeable, fair and professional. The work was done on time, on budget and at a level of quality and craftsmanship that exceeded (already high) expectations. I was so impressed that I already plan to hire Jet Plumbing to replace my furnace in the near future. Thank you, especially to Jeremy, who was absolutely amazing to work with.
