Back in 1994, our founder, Jerry Goodwin established his business, Jerry's Handy Service, Inc as a part-time endeavor during his time still working the TECO company. Throughout the years, his enthusiasm for home improvements increased a deeper passion for home renovations. Come 2001, the company implemented wage cuts for many veterans, and Jerry was among them. At that moment, he decided to fully commit to his business as his main career. Therefore, he accessed his own retirement savings and transformed into a dedicated business owner specializing in restoring homes.

In 2004, Jerry placed a tiny ad in the community publication. That small ad grabbed the interest of the local action plan organization. The director of weatherization reached out to Jerry for a meeting to become a vendor for the organization, which increased Jerry's client base. By 2009, he received a call by a company called American Project & Repair to join a contractor on upcoming jobs. By 2011, the American Homes company got in touch with our company. By 2014, he was managing five employees and continued to expand. With Jerry's Improvements & Restoration, client needs come first!
