They were trying to charge me for 260 extra dollars, big scammer, very rude people.
I got a new dishwasher with people and I paid extra for installation and home Depot sent me JEG plumbing. When I said no they were very rude and disrespectful. Someone needs to stop this people

AVOID: The business model for this company is ""During Home Depot Dishwasher Installs - Find something else during the install that needs to be done (or that you can convince the property owner SHOULD be done) as well, and then price gouge them for THAT work because customers will have no choice if they want their appliance installed. I'm not saying the work shouldn't have been done, I'm saying their policies are shady, and their prices exorbitant - especially since they are already on-site.

Paid for Home Depot dishwasher installation. HD contracted with JEG Plumbing. JEG Plumbing arrived at my house, told me I needed ""additional electrical work."" I paid the $250 charged. Then found out the ""additional electrical work"" was installation of simple GFCI outlet. For $250. Go with someone else.

This review will seem like the others posted previously. Another Home Depot affiliated scam!!
We purchased appliances through Home Depot for our kitchen and laundry. The gas range needed to be installed by ' I scam"" JEG pluming. I was beyond frustrated that they had not called to set up the appointment, escalated to Home Depot and I had to actually call them after 1 week to set up the installation.

Please refer to the previous review's for context: I had read the previous review's and had a thought that today's install would be similar....and remarkably it was!!

First words out of one of the installers words- ""You need a new gas valve- that will be $275.

When I asked why, he shrugged and said , ""It's an old valve and may leak"". Well , it did not leak before, why now???!!!


I walk outside and come back and his counterpart has the old valve in his hand disassembled and says,""See"". ( They took off the old valve and took it apart, as if....it had fallen apart).

I already had a delay with Home Depot in getting them here, so I told them to replace it. Would only take cash or check- told me there is a 4% charge for using a credit card. (Note: having been aware of this predatory scam company, I brought a check- the job had to be done today).

NEVER,NEVER, NEVER PURCHASE ANY APPLIANCE AT HOME DEPOT THAT REQUIRES INSTALLATION FROM JEG- you will get screwed!!!!

Do not use this plumbing service. They were subcontracted to do an install for me, stated they couldn't do it unless I paid an estimate that the technician wrote by hand with illegible writing that didn't reference the specific work. When I told them that wasn't the policy of the company I contracted with, they told me too bad they are the plumbers and walked out of my home rather than staying to speak with the original contractor and sort things out. Their main phone number is not in service and the alternate number requires you to leave a message. They didn't call en route or treat me with any kind of courtesy. I would never use them or let them in my home again.

Well, I wish we had read these reviews earlier. Same story as everyone else. Do not, DO NOT, allow them to do your Home Depot installation.

We ordered a dishwasher through Home Depot, so delivery and installation was already covered. But JEG said they could only install if we paid $400 for a new valve. I assumed we were stuck and said okay ... only to come here and see all these reviews. We spoke to Home Depot who told us not to pay and to get the JEG supervisor on the phone. Wish we hadn't done that either. The supervisor yelled at us and threatened to have his plumbers pull out the outlet and leave. So now we've paid 60% extra for work that we didn't want or need.

Had a similar experience as others have reported here. I purchased a stove through Home Depot and paid full price for installation services only to have Home Depot's contractor, JEG Plumbing, arrive and declare they would only follow through on the install if an additional 300 dollars was paid to them for a shutoff valve replacement. this is an extraordinary markup for a valve replacement. it is basically extortion since they refuse to finish the install otherwise and your only alternative is to cancel the installation and arrange for a different plumber to do the installation on another day. with this many instances, it is clear the company's business model is to upcharge Home Depot customers who have already paid for installation services. at this point, it reflects poorly on Home Depot that they maintain a connection with this plumbing company.

I had a great experience with Ramon and his partner today. I was given a window of 8 am to 11 am and they arrived at 8 am which was perfect as not to tie up my day off. Ramon was doing a pre-installation inspection for a washer and dryer. He measured to insure my new W/D would fit and gave me some great information about the installation and materials needed to hook up everything. He answered any questions I had regarding plumbing and was patient and informative! I would definitely icall JEG Plumbing in the future and certainly request Ramon!
