I gave Jeff's one star only because they don't give negative stars. This guy is a total con artist and uses his plumbers license as a license to steal! I hired this thief and he stills has not completed the work he billed me for 2.5 months later! Do not use this thief!

Hi, I was skeptical of the negative reviews; however, Jeff's Plumbing & Repair is striving to ""do better"" and they truly are achieving that goal. We have had them to our property several times (4 or 5) in the past so many months (NOT for the same issue - this is an older home that is new to us). They have been prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. EVAN and Nick are great workers and Adam answered a complex question involving sottering of copper pipes, which was taken care of on-site. Caitlyn is very professional answering the phones and answers messages quickly. The company has been excellent with emergency situations. The staff is working together to correct past negativity (there may have been a shift in management last year or something like that) and all staff members are showing excellence in being a 5 Star company again. We enjoy working with Evan, Nick, Adam Caitlyn and the entire staff. Thanks!

The worst plumber in the High Country. They did some work on a project that I was involved in a few years ago. He quoted a low price to get the job and then charged an additional $10K in ""change orders"". Complete rip-off.

Called Jeff's to do a sink repair. They drove out, did absolutely no work and told me I had to buy a new faucet myself to install. Charged me $160. Don't call them.

I suspected a clog in our drain line. Nothing major, just had some gurgling In toilet. I called and spoke with Adam and he quoted $200/hour. Time starts from time they leave office, so 3.5 hours. After all said in done, they weren't sure if there was a clog and we got stuck with a bill close to 1k. Turns out they charge extra (per hour) to use the camera and we were definitely not informed of that They we're unable to provide an invoice and cost breakdown. Jeff Boss (owner) said that camera falls under ""extra parts and pieces"". What? To me, that seems like fraud. I would strongly recommend NOT using Jeff's plumbing.

Called to have a leak repaired was quoted 150 dollars per hour. They arrived at 3:02 and were finished at 5:03. That time included leaving for 30 min to get a section of PVC pipe. The work was done well, the plumbers were decent guys. They sat in my drive for 20 min figuring out the bill that was 490.00 dollars. The PVC pipe clamps were 23 dollars. So what they really charges was 233 dollars per hour. When I called to ask why I was told they would have someone call me back they did not. When I called again for the explanation the gentleman answering the phone stated nothing I can do about it. Buyer beware.

*Warning to the consumer*
This review is in regard to the service we received from Jeff's plumbing in Watauga County.
We call Jeff's plumbing around the 20th of September. After having a very friendly conversation on the phone we were set up with an appointment for the 22nd for my kitchen sink that was clogged. After we did all the little tricks you can at home this was the last option. When they arrived on the 22nd two young men around their early 20's came in and assessed the issue. Knowing previously that they needed to remove the block with the auger, I expect the work to be rather quick. The two got the machine and began to put the snake down the pipe. The first red flag is when they seemed to be a little confused on how to operate the machine. Some tinkering later they began to clear out the pipe or so we thought. After the pipe appeared to be clear reassembly of the pipes under the sink began. My second red flag occurred when they didn't understand how to put the drain back together confused they asked my boyfriend who showed them how to assemble it. When the work was said and done about an hour later they prepared the invoice. $256 later, a little shocking, we had some peace of mind. A little extra comfort came our way when the plumber said if the problems persist we will come back and fix it for free. Awesome we thought! After asking for an email receipt they left and we were happy. later we go to wash the dishes and boom backed up sink we call again and couldn't get an appointment until Monday. On Monday no call no show three hours later we get a call saying on Wednesday. On Wednesday they called an hour and 30 minutes late saying that they're coming but they're going to be charging us for the appointment and they'll be charging us overtime. Confused by the change in the agreement we called the office they had no recollection of the first two plumbers telling us that would be free and then proceeded to say that the free service was conditional and that we use it on the day of service. After asking and getting denied for a refund for the botched job we were hung up on.

Extremely unprofessional low quality work.
Would not recommend.

I called Jeff's Plumbing because a renter was worried about strange noises coming from the toilet. The person that came out for the repair told me he flushed the toilets and ran the showers and everything seemed to be fine. Then I received the bill- more than $300 for that. I have used several plumbers with my rental properties and know this should have cost half that. I will never use them again.
