We originally had a great experience two years ago, but that is no longer the case. We were charged $370 for a 34 minute kitchen sink faucet replacement. We had the replacement faucet, and the technician was AT our house (not IN our house) for 34 minutes according to Mr. Wilbur's GPS tracker on his trucks. That comes out to over $600/hour for labor. In regard to getting a price prior to the appointment, all I was told was that it costs $65 to get the technician to the door. They would then need to assess the work that needs to be done and that cannot be done over the phone. This sounded reasonable to us, however, I was never contacted by the company or technician with a quote on the job. My daughters, who were there to let the plumber into the house, were then given a bill of $370 to simply replace a
faucet. We were told that our daughters had ""authorized"" the work. In addition to being charged over $600/hr., all of our warranty information, old parts, and packaging was taken without our permission or knowledge. On top of all of this, the new faucet is leaking so badly that we woke up to it dripping onto and running across our kitchen floor. We will not be using this company again.

We are a member of the Comfort Club. We use WIlbur's for furnace, heat pump, and plumbing. They installed both our furnace and our heat pump.
Recently, we had our yearly maintenance done for our heat pump and our furnace by Joe. We have had. Joe, do numerous maintenance jobs for us before. He is knowledgeable and always does an outstanding job for us. He truly is a great asset to Jeff Wilbur's company.

Would not use this company ever again. Do yourself a favor & make sure you get a quote in writing before they come out to your home. That was our big mistake!! We thought because we had used their services in the past & the charge for their services were reasonable, we thought that would be the case again. Wrong! We needed new faucets in our bathroom (2 sinks) & we supplied the faucets. All Wilbur had to do was install. The bill was $800.00 plus. When we asked for an explanation of the charges no one could quite come up with a logical explanation. We, of course, have learned a valuable lesson the hard way.

Good news is that we did get the rub shoe replaced in our bathtub drain however we took a bath with the cost! The technician took less than 20 minutes to complete this job. Charged $258.00 for labor(wow for 20 minute job), and additional $65.00 service call fee. Total cost $323.00 !! NEVER AGAIN will this senior citizen call Wilbur Plumbing. Shame on them!

Wilbur's Plumbing and Heating have been a godsend to us since the purchase of our home early this year in Halifax. From responding to an emergency call on our first weekend here, to coming out to look at all the problems we had with the house plumbing, they were readily available and courteous and kind. They literally replumbed our entire house! We highly recommend them for any plumbing/heating needs! Great crew and shout out to Colt for his kindness and knowledge in tackling such a huge mess! If you want to use a company that price gouges and doesn't hold their employees accountable for tardiness and poor work, then this would be the plumbing company to call.

A Excellent Service Company!! The Plumber Mark showed up on time and preformed our task (toilet shut off valve) in a very timely and professional manner. I am very pleased with the service we received. As a side note, my wife and I agreed that Mark was the kindest most polite service tech we have ever encountered ! You guys Rock.

Called Wilbur Plumbing yesterday afternoon for a plugged sink drain in an old apartment. The technician ( Mark ) arrived at 9:30 this morning . He was polite and kept the area clean. He snaked the piping twice with a 30' snake and when that did not correct the problem he used an air snake. This fixed the drain problem.
Wilbur plumbing arrived on schedule, fixed the problem, and were great to work with. I will be using them again in the future.

This is second visit. First was on 11/13/20 for a faucet issue. I signed up for annual checkup on heating and plumbing and this visit was for heating checkup. In both cases the technicians were courteous and efficient and performed their tasks well. I felt comfortable and also felt we were treated honestly. Never felt as if they couldn't be trusted. Would recommend without reservation.
