WARNING...Jefferson Plumbing was sent to me by my Home Warranty Company. With that being said, Online there is an option to switch to another company....SWITCH!!! Matthew came out to my house for a standard sink stoppage. He could not snake it, get through the stoppage through my sink. He said he was going to go look in the basement. Next thing we hear is and explosion of water. Upon entering the basement laundry room, Matthew opened up the septic cleaning cap and filled our basement with sewage, and said. There's your stoppage, joking around as we are mortified at the crap in our basement. He proceeded to snake it from there and said it was it was clear and we probably had a full septic tank. Granted this is my first house with the septic tank and we have only lived here a year. We paid him the $100 call out fee and called the Septic company to pump out the tank. The sink was still stopped up. I called Jefferson Plumbing back and asked if they could please come back out and re-snake my sink I was met with a very rude and defensive lady who said she was aware of my septic problem and was told that they could not come back out without going back through the warranty company and paying another $100 charge. After trying to explain that the septic was not the issue, she kept interupting, and when I asked ask if I could please finish talking she slighted her tone and elevated her voice a few octanes. I told her that I had a basement full of crap water and a sink was still stopped up. And I just paid $399.for SEPTIC clean out at her technicians advisement. She said they are not responsible to cleanup water hazardous waste mess and I sould call Serve Pro or someone. And then said that no one could come out till 3 days later anyways.
Needless to say I called another Plumber and they bled the sewer cleanout line in the basement properly, and snaked it with a much BIGGER snake and then used pressurized water to clean the mainline since it had sat dormant for awhile before we moved in and sludge had built up in the pipe. They used a camera showed me. Jefferson Plumbing is a joke. Their not even a member of BBB Customer service is Rude and very unapologetic. They did cash my check and then canceled my service call with warranty company like they were never here. Pretty shady. Now I have to go through refund process. Do not call them.

Today Jefferson Plumbing came out to my apartment complex to replace a water heater that burst. Due to the technician's mistake, he went to the incorrect unit number. The incorrect unit's water heater had no issues (obviously) so the tech quickly took off. My property manager made contact with Jefferson Plumbing less than 30 minutes of the tech's departure and surfaced the tech's error and reminded him of the correct unit number. This was an emergency replacement and Jefferson refused to come back out that day, when the tech was less than 30 minutes departed from the property. To add insult to injury, the receptionist was far from pleasant to my property manager. That is putting it mildly. From my experience dealing with Jefferson Plumbing, they are negligent, rude and not accountable for their own actions. They did not care about my tenant being displaced and didn't make any attempt to make things right or take accountability for their error. I would recommend anybody but Jefferson Plumbing, I doubt that it can get much worst so your luck is better anywhere else! Judging by the plethora of other negative reviews, I am not the only one who feels this way!

Had to use our home warranty company to assign a plumber when our water heater went out. Jefferson was the assigned contractor and performed extremely well. The diagnosis was prompt and professional. Work orders and approvals were timely, and the new water heater that was installed today seems to be working well, and our plumber was pleasant and knowledgeable.

All in all...a very good experience.

Our garbage disposal was seized up and wouldn't run. Matthew showed up and had it fixed in about 5 minutes. Gave good advice on how to not have it happen again. Showed me how to fix it if it did happen again. Definitely knowledgeable and extremely professional. Would use again.

Horrible Business! Stay far away if you have a contract with American Home Shield. The manager does not know what she is doing. It takes them forever to respond back to calls and/or even answer the phone. I made my initial claim on 12/21/22. She sent this technician that didn't know what he was doing. This man came to my house on 12/30/22 and told me that the other technician missed diagnosed the problem. He said it was my sump pump. I call the manager and she tells me that he was basically incompetent and didn't know what he was doing. So now I have 3 different diagnoses. The guy goes to his work van, sits in my driveway for 30 min and just leave. I didn't hear anything from him. I received (2) different diagnoses by two different employees and (1) from the manager. She would tell me one thing and tell AHS something else. Needless to say, my issue is still unresolved. How do you fix only part of a cast iron pipe? And not the whole part? I'm no plumber by far but how do you diagnose a problem without any tools, flashlight, plunger, snake, etc. Very unprofessional! Incompetent! None BBB Accredited! Poor Customer Service! Lack experience! I plan to reach out to WDRB TODAY! to report this fraudulent business. I plan to expose this business because I was treated unfairly and you can not treat people this way. The manager had the nerve to get smart with me because I complained and questioned why her technician came to my home on 1/2/23 and failed to do what he was assigned to do? Spent 3 hrs putting on a 4in cast iron pipe. Failed to finish. SMH. Left with water pouring out of my ceiling. (See video) This happens to be the only contractor assigned if you have AHS and live in Indiana. You will be stuck with this business. Save yourself the stress.
The technician left my home leaving behind severe water damage and an obvious leak coming from my ceiling and pipe that he was there to fix! His advice to me was. Don't flush your toilet or use your shower. Oh, and by the way, don't try to wash your clothes. Never heard from or talked to him again. The manager has yet to call me for the guy to come back. AHS Approved the claim. It's called INCOMPETENCE!!!
If you have Plumbing issues. I don't care if it's a stopped sink drain. Do not use this company. Trust Me! I want to know if any of her employees are really certified in plumbing. Or do she hire from temp agencies. And/or anyone who may need a job. See pictures below! From Jefferson Plumbing LLC.

My home-warranty dispatched to Jefferson Plumbing for an issue I was having. The company did not give me a call. I call them multiple times, and the phone just kept ringing. Then I called later in the day and the voice machine said the hours were over at 3:30 and to call back tomorrow. But NO ONE is answering the phone. Horrible.

It took months for Jefferson plumbing to come fix my water heater after the work order was approved by the warranty company. I was charged extra $540 on top of the service call fee and the payment from the warranty company, and some of the charges was a ripoff charge. The state plumbing inspector turned down their work because the water heater was not installed properly and it took weeks to have the inspector come check it out after installation. I will never recommend Jefferson plumbing to anyone. Very bad experience for me..

My home warranty company sent Jefferson to fix a shut-off valve under my bathroom sink that flooded my entire condo.

Brian G. came to the house after four days trying to get my home warranty company to send someone.

Not the plumber's fault but rather my home warranty.

While the water in the house had been taken care of by a restoration company, I still had no water.

Brian was here bright and early (I felt like crying; I was so happy to see him)
he walked me through everything he was doing; he was neat, clean, and polite.

He apologized (it also was not his fault) for having to cut a hole in the drywall and took the time to show me why it had to be done.

The hole was so small that I wouldn't have paid any attention to it, but he explained it all before he did anything.

When he left, the vanity was clean, and the repair looked great.

These people complaining about this company need to know that the home warranty company told me they only have two plumbers and one sewer plumber in Louisville the contract with.

It is not their fault if they are booked out for several days.

Everyone's problem is just as serious as we think ours is.

I would have zero problems calling them again.

To anyone using a home warranty company... put the blame where the blame belongs. These companies (Plumbing, electric, whatever) must do what the home warranty will pay for and allow.

This is my first Yelp review, because I was so disappointed.

My water heater went out Sunday, 11/28. I filed an online claim the same day with my home warranty company, 2-10. I called Jefferson Plumbing on Monday, 11/29. They said the earliest they could get someone out to diagnose it was Thursday, 12/2. I understood and accepted that, as winter is a busy time. The man that came by Thursday, Mark Sheets, was very friendly and helpful. He said he wasn't sure when the install would be, which I understand is not his job to schedule. I tried to call Jefferson Plumbing on Friday, 12/3 for an update on an install date. Their hours are listed online as Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 3 pm. I called at 2:30 pm and 2:45 pm but didn't get an answer. No answering machine either. I called again at 7:45 am on Monday, 12/6. The receptionist said they were waiting on the home warranty company to order the water heater. I called the home warranty company a few hours later. They said Jefferson Plumbing filed the diagnostic paperwork that morning (after I called). I called Jefferson Plumbing again today, Tuesday, 12/7. I tried to call them 5 times, starting at 7:30 am. A coworker of mine also called them four additional times. They finally picked up at 8:30 am on my fifth try. I asked for an update, and they said the earliest they could install it was next Monday, 12/13. I said that would put me without hot water for two weeks. It is 29 degrees outside right now. They said they had a lot of emergency calls over the weekend. I said, ""Shouldn't I already be in line since you all came out on Thursday?"" She again said they had too many emergencies over the weekend. I told her the warranty company told me Jefferson Plumbing didn't file the diagnosis until Monday morning (yesterday) after I called. The receptionist kept trying to deflect. Eventually she said, ""Well regardless of when it was filed, the earliest we can install it is Monday."" I am very upset that I waited nearly one and a half weeks without hot water for nothing. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and call again (called three times between 2:30 pm and 3 p.m on Tuesday, no answer despite multiple calls).
