Claude L.Horrible! DO NOT USE. I have been waiting on a simple repair since 21 May over a month) and when we call we are told, ""The parts person isn't in"" or ""The part hasn't come in, we will let you know when it arrives."" I Googled the part and it is available on Amazon for $15 with a delivery date of tomorrow, but we have been waiting over a month!! If you don't believe me call customer service. You will stay on hold a minimum of 15-20 minutes. The last time I called I asked if it would be easier if I just come to their office so I could speak with a manager and the representative told me since I was ""threatening to show up at their business"" she was terminating the call and hung up on me.
DON'T HIRE THEM THEY LIED TO ME My warranty company sent them.. READ ALL OTHER POST ALSO .. Don't waste your time here. I was lied to by the office manager and the tech told me they have communication issues. He said his truck broke down on Monday the 10th and I was scheduled for Wednesday June 13 between 8-1 they called at 11:45 on June 13 to tell me they had to reschedule because his truck broke down that morning. Set it up for Thursday June 14 The tech Byron C came did nothing but flirt with my family and said what the HELL is this I have never seen this kind of shower before. I will have to take a picture to take back to my office . I paid for THAT!!! He also said a customer locked her door after he entered he told her she needed to unlock the door for him unless she wanted him to stay and all she had to do is ask. This was a bad experience all around costing me $75.00 for nothing and I have to spend another $75.00 because they refused to fix anything because of the shower.

Christine P.My home warranty assigned JED to take a look at our sump pump which failed and flooded our basement. They gave me a 5 hour window. At the end of waiting for 5 hours, I called the company asked where was their technician. They said ""Oh, he's running behind today."" They did not even have the courtesy to call me to tell me that and now I have to reschedule for another 5 hour window 3 days from now. Hopefully we won't get a heavy rain before then. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company.
Worst contractor EVER!! I gave them one star mainly because it's required (LOL), and because they at least keep their appointments and arrive on time. But it ends there. I was assigned to JED through my home warranty company (AHS). I had a simple show knob that needed to be replaced. They arrived to ""assess"" the situation even though I had sent them pics before hand so they could be prepared. Then it took them 5 weeks to get the part in and another week to come in (which I had to set up since they forgot). Dennis brings me a black knob even though the original was clear, but whatevs. He fixes the knob but it was very loose and wobbly; he didn't seem to know how to install it. Then the next day the water stopped coming out correctly so I wanted someone to come back and fix it. I asked for someone different but they sent the same guy who did it wrong the first time. Dennis explained that the washer had fallen off (as if he didn't install it) and there was a screw stuck in the pipe. He fixes it again.... *eye roll* TWO DAYS LATER it starts leaking and won't turn off all the way. Today I struggled to turn it off at all. Now I get home and it won't turn on! I'm literally going to have to break the knob so I can take a shower. This experience is so bad, I'm ending my contract with AHS who says that in order to get it fixed, the same crappy company had to come back. WTF?! JED doesn't know what they're doing. So now I have to hire another company who can do the work and won't waste my time and money. I strongly suggest you request another company BEFORE they take the job. Never again JED. Never again.
Alessia E.Our home warranty assigned JED to us for our emergency plumbing issue. Both us and our home warranty company called their emergency line and left voicemails several times and we never got a call back, not even to say they were too busy to do the job. They simply never answered or returned any of the many calls we made (on their emergency line). We had to switch and use a different company that did answer our calls and tended to our issue right away.
If you want to pay WAY more than you should, hire JED. I was quoted $449 to snake a drain. I hired someone else and paid $168. It was snaked and cleared in 15 minutes BY SOMEONE ELSE. I asked Jed why $449 and they said it ""could"" be a huge job with issues in the main line. Well, why am I paying for something that it could be and not what it actually is. I asked why they are charging me for the worst case scenario when they don't even know it's that bad. They told me someone would call me back and NO ONE DID. So they took my $45 to come out for literally 5 minutes to look at the drain (not doing anything, no touch anything, just look down at it). What a total rip off. Believe all the 1-star reviews!
Greg I.They stole my credit card information after doing some work at my house. My home warranty sent them out to do a repair, which went fine. The repair was fairly straightforward and the plumber was friendly enough, although when I asked him about taking a look at a second leaky fixture he said I would have to schedule a different appointment (with a different $75 service charge).
The real problems started when they used a paper form to collect my credit card information. I used a Visa gift card to pay, and a few weeks later, I noticed several unauthorized charges on my transaction history. Luckily, there was a limit to how much they could take (since the gift card only had so much money on it). I hadn't used the card any other places, so I know the security breach was JED. I reported the stolen info, but it led to a long hassle and lots of paperwork dealing with the gift card issuer. Someone in the company (the plumber or someone in the office) obviously is not trustworthy. Steer clear.
Trish W.Couldn't be more pleased with the service provided by Justin of JED. We had a blocked pipe which caused kitchen debris to backup and spill out onto our basement floor. Washer, dishwasher and kitchen sink were all on the same line and unusable. We called Cardinal Plumbing who came out and worked on the clog for about an hour with no success. At that time they planned to come back out the next day with a water jetter and camera ($595 minus $210 paid for initial visit) but expressed concern that it may be a broken pipe under the concrete floor. At that time, I realized this was covered by the home warranty that we received three months ago when purchasing our house so cancelled the Cardinal appointment and placed a service request through Old Republic. Justin from JED came out the following morning as scheduled. He was able to totally clear the clog without using jets and we are now up and running fine. I just ran the dishwasher and a full load of laundry with no problems! Justin also provided tips on how to minimize buildup in the laundry pipe and made suggestions on re-configuring. We will definitely call JED for our plumbing needs from now on. I am impressed that our Home Warranty company has such a quality network of service providers.
Their repair man pealed off serial number snd information from our water heater with out telling us and tried to convince us to replace our 4 year old hybrid water heater. That is Illegal business practice and will be reported to BBB!
Heidi O.Worst company! When I scheduled an appointment with them I informed them that the 1200-500pm window was not going to work for me that day because I has a post opt appointment. I suggested the next week but they offered to come between 200-500pm. I asked them to please put it in the technician notes. I even called back later to confirm. While I was at my doctor's appointment I get a phone call at 1230 pm from Dennis saying he is at my place. I said you were suppose to come at 200pm. He said ""I am here now and I am not going to wait."" He was VERY RUDE!!! I called the company and told them that the technician had come and gone because he was early. They said that it was not their policy to schedule a different time slot. My reply was ""but you did."" The lady on the phone was also rude! I told her that I called back twice and spoke to two different people when I made my appointment and the second individual even read the technician's note to me. Once again they said it was not their policy and it was a courtesy for them to schedule the 200pm time slot for me. I asked ""how is that a courtesy if you show up early?"" Why would you even make the 200pm appointment if you didn't plan on showing at that time?"" I got the same response. I finally just said ""you people are ridiculous!"" The supervisor told me to ""calm down!"" I was not really having that so they hung up on me. Every person I spoke with was completely rude and refused to take any responsibility for their screw up. They acted like it was my fault and I was being unreasonable because I expected them to honor the appointment they booked. The only thing I did wrong was not get names. I would give this company a negative star if it were possible. See their comment below...I did not use ""R-rated language"" and I called to confirm the adjusted time window. This is a sad ploy to cover their pathetic excuse for a company. Any company that would resort to lies over a poor review is just outrageous. Furthermore, any ""customer service agent"" that can't handle a compliant, hangs up the phone, and then lies to their management is exactly where they deserve to be. A bad company with no prospects. Moreover, the manager never called me back. Hey JED, why don't you have time to call me back since you have time to fabricate a story and post it? Oh, and I told my home warranty company that I did not want to deal with you anymore and that they should cancel your contract the first chance they get.
