Melinda S.I was told I would receive a call 30 minutes before. I received no call. The technician showed up without a call while no one was there. We were told we would have to reschedule. The cost? $100. The repair is probably less than that. She said she had to trust her technician. He had taken a photo of his handwritten note. I asked her to give me her email so I could send her a picture of my call log and she would see he never called. As a matter of fact I had no missed calls for several hours before he said he showed up.
Let me add to that - a woman who called herself the customer service manager called me to inform me what the rules and procedures were. Asked me to be quiet and listen to her while she spoke so she could help me, but that only resulted in her telling me why I was wrong and defending her technician. Clearly they get a lot of unhappy clients.
Nancy O.I was forced to use JED Mechanical via my home warranty program. My hot water heater burst, collapsing ceilings and floors. This was 6 weeks ago. They have still not submitted their report to the Home Warranty Company, which is a necessary step in our being able to get a new hot water heater. Given all of the other repairs caused by the flood, we need to replace the hot water heater via the contract. I've spoken to the HSA folks 9 times in the last 6 weeks, and although JED was paid a service fee, they never submitted the report. I've been in a hotel for 6 weeks because of them, since I have no hot water heater and my gas can't be reconnected.
The customer service and scheduling was terrible! They did not show up for a saturday appointment between 8-1. quite the wide time range... but stuck at home with potential flooding, without a call or response to many messages left. finally called on sunday afternoon saying nothing could have been done, and no changes can be made except to turn back time. The technician was good... but no sense of urgency whatsoever.
Matthew came out first thing in the morning and help fix my garbage disposal. Also informed me how to fix other issues, with easy house hold items. Best part gave me a hex wrench, so if my disposal acts up again I have a better tool to fix it myself.
Sandy M.STAY AWAY...DO NOT USE....TOTAL FRAUDS!!!!!!! The most horrific plumbing company in NOVA. They came out as a call from AHS on 4 May and told me my regulator needed to be replaced. They have yet to call me back and I have tried everything but a pigeon to get a hold of them...email, FB, contact us on their website, phone messages...I even called AHS to make a complaint. STILL NOTHING. I am on the phone right now with AHS asking how this ""company"" keeps getting sent to homes with no positive results. PATHETIC customer service and would highly recommend no one ever use them for anything.
Jed has been to my home three times through my home warranty, every time, I am pleased with the service.
All of the techs are awesome, they tell you the truth and give you advice.
I am looking forward to having Jed stop by to fix any plumbing issues as I trust them.
Sean P.Stay away!! The tech rushed though his job of replacing my water heater, broke my water softener system in the process, then dropped the old water heater through my screen door and broke it. Which was all fine if JED would take responsibility! At first they did telling me to get quotes for repair which I did. But balked at the cost when they were faced with the repairs. The President of the company spoke with my wife and offered a third of the cost of the repair on the water softener system alone and said either take that or sue us. This came from a fully insured company!!! Again, stay away from this company because taking responsibility and apparently being insured doesn't matter to them.
David P.STAY AWAY FROM THSI COMPANY; I PAID FOR A SERVICE AND PRODUCT AND THEY NEVER INSTALLED IT.
Was told by Jed when installing my hot water tank that they would do a drain line to the drip pan and they even called and ask me to connect it to the washers drain line. Come to find out, i paid for it and was told it wsa being installed but my friend saw it wasn't installed. I called the company, spoke to a customer service manager (Female), she was sarcasting with responses and said she would call to send someone out next week. Well no call but she left a message stating she would compensate us with $100.00 since they did not install the drip line. I said no and she said she would send someone out. Well that never happened again. I called recently coming back from a month or so travel for work and called again. FInd out the female manager is no longer with the company and spoke to Justin who is the manager and said he would send someon out. Well the guy came but said he is only hooking up a right angle pvc pipe to drain any water in the crawl space and said that was county code for spotsy county. I said that doesnt sound right and he stuck to his guns but i have called and emailed spotsy county to verify and if not, i will be taken action against the company for avoiding to own up to what they promised me and what i paid for but never got. I have called to speak to the owner and emailed and awaiting for response but overall Jed Plumbing and Gas said they would install a drain line and never did and i even paid for. My warranty covered labor and the water tank and i paid out of my pocket for county codes of installing the water tank even the drain line which was not installed but again, i paid for it.
They were assigned to me by my home warranty company. I had a water heater that was leaking. The service person recommended that the entire unit be replace. I was contacted by the home warranty company and told that there would be out of pocket issues that would not be covered by them and told me my out of pocket price would be $600. Jed Plumbing told me the price would be $675 because they had to remove the old unit (should that be covered?). Whatever, anyway, they required that I put half down and half at the conclusion of the service I gave them my credit card and they took half that day (3/21) The next day they took the other half (3/22)! Mind you, the service wasn't scheduled until (3/23)! On 3/28 they took another payment! They charged my card three times and essentially charged me $1000 for a $600 job! I've already contacted my warranty company and told them that I did not want to use them again! I am currently in the process of disputing this charge with my bank and I want the $75 they charged me for removal of the old tank. Do not use this company!!!!!
Karen C.Horrible service. This company was sent out from 2-10 home warranty to look at our gas heater. They said it needed to be replaced. They refused to call in the diagnosis to 2-10 warranty and hung up on me several times. I have spent hours trying to get them to submit their diagnosis. I have been hung up on by their customer service representative 3 times and so has 2-10. The customer service lady mumbled something about the money offer from 2-10 not matching up with their expectations.
