I called John for ceiling fan installations including wiring in my 4 bedrooms. He was on time for schedule, covered with mask, gloves and shoe before entering home. Looked at the job and provided quote immediately and I felt it was reasonable and accepted. We scheduled installation a week later on this weekend, he stopped by with his coworker, since it was a very hot day and I guess it would have been even super hot in our attic, so John completed wiring on first day, it wasn't easy since mine was a old home and second day came for fans installation.. he did an excellent job in every detail to make sure wiring is pulled correctly, fans are tightly secured and even made sure no husky sounds while running.. we had two installs in angle mount, but john was very good at installing them correctly. I had a broken WiFi switch, he was very helpful to troubleshoot it and also he installed two other new WiFi switches during this. He is not hesitated even single time through out this process and very patiently took care all of our asks...he had tons of tools, cleaning materials, he brought his own big vacuum cleaner to maker sure everything is cleaned.. all I bought was fans, everything else was provided by John, he included in the quote so I didn't have to run to Homedepot in between.. I would hire him again for any job and recommend strongly..

I sent a quote request and in less than 10 minutes JDN replied and was ready to be at my place within the hour. I was surprised at how quick the reply was. He was very friendly, came prepared, and is very knowledgeable. He even took the time to teach me a few things. His work was clean and professional and would call him again in a heart beat.

My dryer and breaker were both having issues. John responded super quickly, even late at night, and was willing to work around my schedule and come to Mountain View to help. He was able to quickly troubeshoot the problem and came by the next day to quickly fix it. He is also super friendly and wore a mask and covered his shoes. Thanks John!

Update:

Had to take off a star for what seems like unprofessional behavior, and to be fair, I really do not know the circumstances, but on his return to replace some light fixtures and the upstairs ceiling fan, John left early after completing one of two tasks. He only took a portion of the money he quoted, stating ""let's just do this one job at a time."" When I contacted him later on that evening to reschedule another visit, he stated that his vehicle was not working and had to wait a couple of days until he could return.

My wife really needed these tasks to be done, and it seemed as if John was making excuses. Regardless, we called another electrician to finish the job.

What worked he managed to complete are all top notch quality work, but in the end, the job did not get completed.

During this COVID-19 quarantine, I went into panic mode when my outlets in my dining room and kitchen went out, as well as our front porch light and driveway light - all within 24-hours of each other. Yelp enabled me to send a request to different electricians in my area. John was the first to reply, so I chose him. I am glad I did.

We set up up an appointment for the next day in the morning. Promptly at the scheduled time, John stopped by, dressed in his face mask and toolkit belt! Immediately he checked for circuit breaker outlets in the kitchen - one was hidden away behind some kitchen appliances. He reset the GFCI and my slave outlets had power again. A simple fix to be sure, but for this layperson, I learned something new.

Next we're the front porch and driveway lights, which had both gone out at the same time. John spent time taking off the fixtures and testing wires. He commented on the age of the original fixtures. One of them had a burnt wire, which possibly was due to improper wiring. The other fixture had a timer switch that stopped working.

Long story short, John told me to get newer fixtures, as the age of these were part of the problem. And one had some extra wires that didn't seem to be of any use and he moved these aside to not be used. He offered to come back to install them once I purchased some new ones (and I may take him up on his offer.

After about an hour's time later he packed up. When I asked him about payment, he just said gas money would be fine, since he ""really didn't do anything here."" I just stood there dumbfounded! I gave him a 20 and he called it a day. Wow!

It is comforting to know that there exist people in this world that won't take advantage of you in times of crisis. And with the Corona virus still making its way through San Jose, it would be so easy to scam people. I commend John for his integrity and expertise What a great guy!

I wasn't able to close my bedroom door so I posted the job on Yelp for someone to shaved some part of my door. John replied quickly and was able to come the next day. There was some hiccup on the time and finding my place but John was very communicative. John charged a cheaper price than another handyman I hired for the same problem on my bathroom door. The shaving was a bit tight but I think the pro is I don't have a huge gap but I worry the door could swell more later. However I trust John take this into account!

First impression: quick response

Called John to get some repairs for the house as well as put up some organization system in the garage. He came, checked it out, and went to Home Depot to purchase all the necessary tools to get the job done. The best part was, he took care of everything and more. I had asked John to for more tasks after I've seen him complete projects after projects. He was patient, and I appreciate that. Was able to work from home knowing the house was in good hands - literally.
