I have always completed my own plumbing repairs. Now, as I approach the century-mark age, digging in the soil, repetative knee and waist bends, and crawling on floors and the ground are no longer options. I had a main water-supply line break near the house foundation. Who would I call for fast and first-rate service/repairs?

Yelp reviews led me to JD Service Repair - not many reviews - but all good reviews - maybe a new company, eager to please...? Gave it a shot...

Joel came out within a couple of hours, surveyed the situation and provided a couple of options with estimated prices. He answered my questions and let me decide - no pushing or sell pressure.

Rather than repairing just the break at the PVC/Copper tubing junction at the foundation, I elected to replace the entire 50 year old, PVC line to the water meter with new 1" PEX-type tubing, including a new, owner shutoff valve and a PRV near the water meter.

Javier came out with Joel the next morning to complete the installation. Other than two places to dig, at the foundation and at the water meter, there was no need to dig in the yard. They pulled out the 40 feet of old PVC and installed the new 40 feet of PEX at the same time! Neat!!

I am totally satisfied with the work performed and the cost. I have found my Bexar County plumbers! Thanks, guys...

Had high pressure with a faulty PRV and had a break in a line within my foundation. Woke up to a water leak outside the house. Called JD Service Repair and got an appointment for later in the day. The team was courteous and efficient and explained the problem thoroughly to me. They repaired the leak and cleaned up the area. I highly recommend them.

I called with a leaking pressure release valve and they were able to come right out to fix it. They gave me a competitive rate and had it fixed within an hour. They went above and beyond and fixed another section of pipe that they believed was going to fail soon as well included in the quoted price. Bonus they offered a limited warranty on the repair should it leak again. They used parts that far surpassed the builder part they removed.

I was referred to JD by my home warranty to replace my garbage disposal. When I reached out to them, they were friendly and scheduling was easy. I was given a 2 hour window for them to arrive. When I didn't hear from them inside the window, I called. They were apologetic about the delay and told me I was the next job.

They showed up about 45 minutes later. The two techs were friendly and promptly went to work. The job took them less than 30 minutes and the disposal works great. Overall, I'm happy with them and will use them again in the future.

We woke up this morning to a lack of hot water. I called JD Service Repairs shortly after their opening hours, and had someone at my house by 11:00 AM Investigation revealed the tank had a small weeping leak that had put just enough water in the catch pan to trip a safety switch. The water heater was in the house when we moved here about 4 years ago and I had no idea when it had been installed. Javier used hs smartphone and in seconds informed me the water heater was still under warranty. Javier provided an estimate with two options in a few minutes and we chose to replace the leaking heater with a warranty replacement unit. Javier left to get the replacement unit, and handled all the warranty paperwork at the office before he returned. Javier completed the work right around 2 PM, only 3 hours stat to finish! I highly recommend JD Service Repairs when life throws you a plumbing curveball.

Imagine coming home to a bursting water heater...yeah this girl doesn't have to imagine because it happened! However, I was able to contact my home warranty and was assigned to JD Service Repair. When I called (7pm), Javier answered and immediately put me on the roster for the following day. Him and his partner showed up promptly and went straight into diagnosing the issue. Unfortunately, the tank was a goner (RIP). However, he did all the leg work and phone calls to my home warranty to determine what was covered and provided me a breakdown. I knew everything wasn't going to be covered, but I was happy to discover most of it was. The remaining items he was able to provide a reasonable price to get the job completed. Within a couple of hours they were done with disposing of the old, installing the new, and cleaning up the area.
