John did a great job for a great price. He clearly knows what he is doing and did not try to ""up sell"" us on the job. In fact, JD Plumbing was great throughout this process. They responded to our call immediately, were on time for the appointment, and worked efficiently without leaving a mess.

We will definitely call upon John and JD Plumbing for any future jobs.

I am so happy that I found Jon from JD Plumbing. My mom had called him for a couple of issues she had and on the very same day Jon came out to see her, he stopped by to take care of a broken pipe in our kitchen sink. I am very pleased and will not hesitate to call him again if we have any other issues in the future. He was quick and efficient and very pleasant. He was so kind to my mom who is a senior citizen not to charge her for a visit out to her when he couldnt find any problem that needed fixing. I highly reccommend JD Plumbing

super efficient and courteous service! called jon the day before for installing a garbage disposal and he was one of the only plumbers who was able to come out the next day. i was a bit wary due to previous flaky and bad service with other alameda plumbers but was pleasantly surprised. thank you jon!

Hmm, Jon doesn't really need another 5 star review, but I thought it would be cool to share his story:

A plumber drove right up to Jon on the street and offered to hire him for a job, at which point he went home to put on some work clothes, got trained on the job, and basically he's been a plumber ever since, worked for Roto-Rooter, and started his own thing and totally loves his job years later. How lucky, right?

It's always nice when someone loves what they do, is really good at it, and can run their own business well. Jon is a very chill guy, fast and smart, and wants to make sure the customer is satisfied and taken care of.

I had some unique fixtures, and he took the time to call the manufacturer and figure out how to do the repair, and go get whatever parts I needed. He fixed 4 things very quickly: unclogged a sink drain, fixed my toilet handle, replaced a hose bib, and fixed a leaky faucet -- all for a very affordable price despite needing multiple visits and store runs to get the right parts.

Happy to have found our new plumber, and to support a local business and a great guy who came up in East Oakland!

These guys rock - I called them at 12 noon about a leaking kitchen sink drain and by 12:15p they had already called me back and we had an appointment for them to come by at 3p and take a look. 3p came an they were right on time - in what universe does that happen that a service provider is right on time? As soon as they arrived we got right work which I love. Within less than 2 or so hours the work was done and my leaking kitchen sink was fixed. They explained the process all the way through too so I learned alot through the process. Amazing!! So friendly and fast! If you need plumbing work done, these are the guys to call.

Jon was a total lifesaver. Had a leak coming from ""somewhere"" and John was able to find and fix it without hesitation....all this on the day Prince died, which he had the misfortune of discovering in my living room.

I certainly hope I don't have more leaks, but if I do, I will certainly call Jon immediately.

I was referred to Jon by another plumber who could not do the job that I needed, and it was a great experience. He arrived to my house 20 minutes after I called him, and was very pleasant. He solved the problem in a timely manner, and answered all of my questions and gave me advice about how to prevent this problem from happening in the future. Clean- Efficient- Kind
I was referred to Jon by another plumber who wasn't able to do the job which gave me great confidence. Jon was able to come the same day I called, at the time I requested to address my clogged tub. He contacted me to let me know when he was on the way (within the quoted time frame) and was very nice and pleasant when he arrived. He quickly accessed the problem, proposed a solution, gave me a quote, and got right to work. I was his last call of the day and I think the job was more stubborn than he had anticipated, but he had no complaints and kept at it until he was finished. He then went out to his van and came back with cleaning products to clean up the tub. I didn't expect that- I have had other contractors leave trash/dirt after jobs that I have to clean up. Although simple, it was a really nice touch!
I hope I don't need a plumber in the near future, but if I do Jon will be the first person I call.
